Hi, where did you get the plastic container that holds your bags? I like the different sized compartments. I have mine in different bins right now but I like what you are using better. Thanks!
Good job man! I think big companies who ships other good should learn something from your packaging quality process! Good luck with setting up new drawers.
Hi dunorids! Thank you! Since we are a small business, I like to make sure I put in the time and care for each package. Thank you so much for watching!
Hi Alex, Yep, 2x3 is the best sized bags we have for minifigs. We often sell our minifigs without accessories because they part out for higher prices. Since we have not tried selling with the accessories, I do not know which one would get more sales. Thanks for watching!
When someone requests a quote from your store for several different parts and many lots (example: 600 pieces and 130 lots) do you pick the order as if the quote will be accepted to get an accurate idea of shipping weight/dimensions or do you eyeball it to the best of your knowledge to save time?
Hi knight 40k, I answered your question in this weeks episode of BrickSide Chat - Episode 13. We do not pack a quoted order until they officially place the order. Like you said, we just eyeball it to find the best shipping box and price, and we use the BrickLink order page to determine about how much the order will weigh. Thank you for watching and following along!
Hello! Fun video to watch, thank you. Question- I want to buy some Star Wars mini-figures. I don't see complete figures in your store, just individual parts OR am I missing something? As a buyer do I need to add all the individual mini figure pieces in my wanted list to find sellers who have them? Thank you for your time! Melissa in Columbia, MO
We just recently acquired another store that had a TON of loose Star Wars parts. That's why they are all parted out like that. We have a few complete figs that we got from the same lot that should be listed, if they have not already been purchased.
Thank you for showing us the whole process of picking an order, I was about to ask for this as well haha. I have another question though. I offer my customers bank transfer and paypal as payment options. Bank transfer is free but for my paypal I would like to charge the fees that paypal gives me. Is there a way to set a % and a fixed fee only for when they pay with paypal? So far I was only able to add a % fee.
Hi Brick Nick! Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, you are only able to add a % fee, and not also add the fixed fee to the order. What I would do is maybe just bump the % up a little bit to help cover the cost of the extra $0.30 they take. That might help to balance it out a tad. Sorry I cannot be of better help to you. Thanks for watching!
@@JustABrickInTheBucket That could be an approach, thank you! Another thing that I looked into is getting a Paypal micro payments account, which has lower fees for payments under $12. Do you use this yourself?
hello my friend here is rafael from brazil i saw your store on youtube i really liked it i'm already a fan of your store i hope to do a lot of shopping with you hug from your friend from brazil
Hello Rafael! Thank you for following along! I just saw your message on BrickLink and replied. Be sure to request a quote when you shop at my store. It will get you the best shipping price possible for international shipping!
Is it really necessary to use 5 bags for such a small order? As a buyer, I appreciate if the seller has better concern for the environment. Really appreciate your videos, dont take me wrong, just giving my opinion.
Hi Filipe! That has been a concern of mine as well. Not only the cost of giving away all those bags, but also the environmental impact like you said. I've debated about putting lots together, but some buyers request they are all separated, so I don't know from a buyer's perspective which is best? If you have any suggestions, I am very open to them! I will be asking people in this week's episode of BrickSide Chat to help with ideas as well. Thank you!
@@JustABrickInTheBucket I would suggest the individual bags for orders with multiple of the same parts. (like 4x a 2x4 plate) and put single parts together if they are the same category. Like in this example, you sold a few small tiles with prints on them. Why not put those 4 together? I doubt any buyer would mind that. And if you get too many individual parts you can also add a bag.
Thank you for picking my order on camera, was really nice
I love my order
What a great seller
My pleasure! Thank you for your order, and your second one 😉
I remember as a kid i had small zip locks and i was pretending to sell minifigs it was so funny.
God, going the extra steps makes me want a Bricklink store. Amazing
Also what camera do you use?
Hi Zannybricks!
It is really fun running a store! I'd recommend giving it a shot if you have the time and space to do one!
For this video, I just used my iPhone. For most videos that is what I use, but sometimes a Panasonic HG4, and sometimes a Blackmagic URSA.
Nice, great to see your shipping process. I might take on board some of your ideas in my store once i grow a bit, especially the stamped boxes!
Thanks! I think they look pretty nice, and are much cheaper than custom boxes.
The checkbox next to each item is very useful. I wish I had known about it earlier. Sadly it wasn't a default setting :)
YES! It is amazing. It should be a default feature. I don't know why it is not... Best find when I found it. Hahaha.
