The first time I went to Disneyland, the stretching room totally blew me away! The first drawing I ever did was a crude crayon drawing of these portraits on orange construction paper in school. I drew endless pictures of these portraits, developing my technique trying to get them to look like the originals. I really saw them as works of art. They inspired me to draw!
I have this new fanfic I’m working on right now. It’s about how each of the stretching portraits are members of the Gracey Family. Constance is the dowager matriarch, Sally and the quicksand men are cousins to Master Gracey and Alexander the family lawyer.
I always figured that the quicksand trio are the hitchhiking ghosts in their “corruptible mortal state”, considered the similar resemblance.
I think they are different trios.
Make sense, but who know.

One thing scary about the guy on the explosive barrel is that he's not wearing pants.
One thing scary about the quick sand portrait is the color used to write the words. I like green. Not red or black.

In walt disney world, the queue line was routed differently at some point. A cut off queue post in the ground looks like a wedding ring. There is fan fiction about the wedding ring and the female voice you hear jump and hit the ground in the stretching room. That may be a good fan fiction video in the future!
That amazing fan fiction was mentioned at the "Heartbeating bride" video available at this channel! I highly recommend it!
These portraits which only appear in The Stretching Room scene of The Haunted Mansion consist of the 3 gambling men sinking in the quicksand who don't seem to have official names at all, Alexander Nitrokoff the dynamite man with no pants, Sally Slater the tightrope walker and Constance Hatchaway the Black Widow Bride in her ancient form of life. Daisy de la Cruz was the other name that Sally Slater had AFTER she got killed by Master George Gracey, Jr., because he cheated on her as revealed in the SLG comics. She was as a greedy heiress who was also a vain witch on behalf of being a tightrope walker that had dark witchcraft to transform her wealthy customers into alligators as a punishment if her demands weren't met. It was used for seduction in case you didn't know that. Madame Leota had an affair with Master George Gracey, Jr. and summoned a daughter named Little Leota after Daisy died from being eaten by these scaly beasts.
One Halloween I dress as Sally and another Halloween I was dressed as mansion cast member.

I'll tell you what I think. I think those Disney workers are messed up! Their own personal fanfictions are always the darkest parts of these videos.
I agree with you, the employee fanfictions are the darkest and the ones that create a very complicated relationship between the mansion's inhabitants.
