Good morning, Redwheel. I thought you might want to know that at approximately 7:33 OP refers to himself as a workaholic, but you accidentally said alcoholic. I hope you have a great day.
Gee I thought from the thumbnail, OP had hidden dirt on his boss. Not just dumping All the work on him, which Helen should have picked up. What with all her hours.
Aa a previous telecom cubicle slave , I appreciate that first story. I also had a "special customer " list that I monitored. One person was at the top of my list . He claimed he was a lawyer, etc etc. Unfortunately for Mr douche, I actually knew him irl. He was a mobile DJ with a 10th grade education. I took much joy in updating his notes.
First story of the person is the a-hole. Disconnecting 20 times a day or even a couple times a day could cause the lawyers clients lots of problems. Also now if he calls back is probably going to be mad at other people so now this operator is causing coworkers to get yelled at. I if this gets documented how I moved to it's happening there would be actual problems for the company. Person thinks they're being real cute with this but honestly the fact that someone at their end can just do that randomly when they feel like is disgusting. Makes me wonder what some bored employee is going to do in general.
Once again we see the proof of the saying If you can't afford someone to leave a job ,don't advise them to get another job It never, ever, ever, ends well for you Now OP has a job that pays double what you were paying him
I am not a qualified IT professional, but I find it crazy how many pro's don't know the power of good old DOS. I started out with DOS 2.something and basic and still use some of the tricks from back then, especially for backup.
His service is definitely *not* fine if he has to keep temporarily "fixing" it just to get the services he is paying for. That's what's wrong with these companies these days. They cobble together something that almost works, rake in the money, and spend none of it on making their infrastructure what they try so hard to convince people they're paying for. And it's definitely not something to be proud of. We have this issue with the only broadband ISP in our area. Their router spent as much if not more time off the network than on it. They're also the most expensive game in town. I kicked them to the curb for being long on promise and falling flat on their faces when it came to delivery.
Having to temporarily fix his connection by restarting his phone is more likely a problem with the guys phone or something in his environment acting as a faraday cage, not the service. If he wants the service he is paying for, he probably needs to buy a new phone or improve his environment.
We’re on the same page with that one…I was going, “either they have to be sleeping together or Frank has NO idea what work functions OP handles bc he’s not just a moron…but a LAZY AF moron.” How could the AM not know who does the bookkeeping for the whole store and still have scheduling responsibility without being informed that OP was an Untouchable?? SMH Cheers! 🖖😎👍
In some states, like Texas, you can quit immediately which is what OP did in the last story. I do not see why Frank did not understand that. Frank dug his own grave. Even Boris Badanov and Natasha understood things like that.
Frankly, when you duck with your best worker, you better know what you are doing! Was Frank trying to make the new hire happy and then ask her out for a date?
I used to work as a broadcast engineer in TV. A common problem when engineers quit was erasing all of the commercials. I found the practice petty and unprofessional.
The cell phone story reminds me of something similar that I experienced in the '60's. I was a long distance telephone operator before the switchboards were computerized. Answering a call meant plugging a cord into the lighted jack. The only way to disconnect from the caller was to pull the plug. I worked the all night shift and when we took a call from a late night vulgar creep, we would just stay connected to their phone all night, (which tied their phone line up all night and was illegal) and we would occasionally push the ring back key, causing their phone to ring off and on all night, sometimes holding it for a very long ring. It was a firing offense, so we could only do it at night when there was only one supervisor in the office and we knew we weren't being secretly monitored, which was a constant during day and evening shifts.
Emma, you need to learn to read. It said "the rest of the week was kind of boring since I was a workaholic" not Alcoholic lol. You have done slip ups before but this is the funniest
A cell phone company who's name is just a bunch of letters? Don't most of them have names that are just a bunch of letters? I can't think of any off the top of my head that are just a bunch of numbers.
The last story smells a bit fishy, dude to mitzvah being an alcoholic After never being called one and then's the type to go back to the store and no other thing that the employees are going to have problems with them just to gloat. Kind of seems like dude was an a hole and that's why he got less hours. Plus I don't know where I mentioned that he put in his two weeks or anything. This guy seems like a real jerk unless I miss something.
you maybe right. but giving a two weeks notice is not required in all areas. it is a professional courtesy tho for scheduling purposes. However i have noticed that in a lot of lower paying job positions that most people who quit don't give two weeks notice. Fair enough given that employers don't have to give you a two weeks notice when firing you lol. i'm not trying to talk smack on grocery workers cause they work hard and don't get paid what they deserve however the good ones who make a career out of it do end up promoted and make ok money. But for most of the positions for the industry where the base for entry level is minimum wage is not intended for people to stay very long and to work there way up or get job training or education to get a better paying job. props to all the retail workers making a career out of it. Stay the course and if it's for you then you are helping keep America running and we thank you.
OOOH! Kicking his phone off at random. See folks, this is why you don't fuck with IT guys.
Moral of the Story Kiddies - Do NOT eff with hard working Employees, otherwise YOU will be the one getting effed over.

Well, one thing leads to another depending on your management. 😂😂

I love baking/cooking and listening to RedWheel at the same time. It's relaxing. 😊 I'm still working through the IDWHL playlist.

Workaholic and Alcoholic are the same thing right? 🤣
I think you mean Farmer 👨🌾 👩🌾
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well both are addicted to something which in a very high quantity can be bad.
Not the same.. it has been my experience that being an Alcoholic
Is much much much worse than a workaholic...

@@rollothecat2010 good ol’ Quick ‘n Dirty Operating System…oops! I mean MS DOS (*snicker, snicker*); command line is powerful stuff.
Hi RedWheel hope you are well. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day and Please stay safe all who reads this and watches this video.🏴😁😷👍.
1st story. Sounds like _someone else_ might have already started doing just the same thing! Possibly the previous rep he "spoke" to.

It's ProRevenge Monday!!!!
Whooooo....Doggy!!
Let's have a GRRRR----EAT week People!!!!😁😁
It is clear that frank was totally biased towards helen for one reason or another.
My first thought is he (Frank) was porking her - or at least trying to. But I am a cynic.

4:00 Under staffed deptt store but top heavy (too many managers)? The store probably lost money with too many Generals and too few Privates!
Frankly, when you duck with your best worker, you better know what you are doing! Was Frank trying to make the new hire happy and then ask her out for a date?
Too many major paynes

I noticed the same mistake, as I always follow along reading the text as I'm listening.
I'm pretty sure no one would care if anyone "passed on the floor"...pretty sure that's a typo, and he meant "pissed on the floor"....🤷
Repeat after me: SpongeBob background music makes every story funnier.

I anonymously call the head office on Frank for favoritism on 1 employee aka the woman he has the hots for.
At least where I live, if your hours get chopped, you can file unemployment.
Are they the same? Being a workaholic & alcoholic I mean. 🤔 🤔🤔🤔
