That was FANTASTIC, you can see his second wind really coming in after that second water combination, up and around the hill to the last couple jumps. He really killed it, best xc for him yet, pulled out all the stops and really dug for it. Can't ask for a better boy!
I love watching Riot! Those little fence lines are barely visible, the one between fence 3 and 4 really spooked me, as I didn't see it until you were almost on it.
What a ride! Not an easy course to make time on (or Lee's for that matter). So great to catch you guys live; I actually saw myself for a second in the video!
In a double bridle at that. Great ride Rye Bread and Elisa!! YES he's back!! You really have some amazing horses in the barn Elisa and you are an amazing rider. Safe rides always!!
Hi, could you make a video about your stud box and how you decide which types and sizes to use for show jumping and cross country in different types of weather and ground?
Great ride on both Riot and Lee. Congratulations on having the "old" and Riot back!! 💖 💖 Best Regards and Stay Safe Everyone!! From Ontario, Canada, Jenn. 💖 💖 🇨🇦
It was a huge, difficult to read fence off of a curve at 4. He refused the first jump of a two-part combination, the first combination on the 4-star-short course. I was jump judging that fence. Other horses also couldn’t figure out quite what to do with it- it was pouring rain, so a lot of horses were slipping. I’m not sure if that was a factor for Riot or not, but we had withdrawals because of the weather.
Personally, I don’t like to see spread fences with big open ascending poles like that on x-country. It’s not a natural obstacle like x-country is supposed to feature- it’s more like a show jump. I understand that course designers are trying to present competitors with tough problems in order to rank the field, and I also understand that it was a frangible pin fence that came down when Riot slid into it. I also understand that competitors have to prepare themselves for this type of fence because they have become commonplace on cross-country courses nowadays. Nonetheless, I don’t personally think that such fences pose a fair question on cross-country. I was dismayed when I found out that I was assigned to jump judge that Combination because I knew there would be trouble, especially since you had to come flying around a curve and, Bam! There it was. Riot could’ve jumped it easily enough, had he figured out what to do. Trickery has no place on cross-country. It wasn’t a fair question, although it is a question Riot will have to master in order to move up. Last time I checked, course designers really don’t care what I think, LOL. But that’s what I think.
I was standing next to mom at 5:10 It was so cool to see Ri go by in person! ❤️❤️

Going through the combined driving obstacle at the beginning was scary. All I could picture was a horse spooking and becoming an equine pinball.
Congratulations! I helped paint and decorate a number of the fences, so it's cool to watch you jump them. Great job 👍
I love your xc cams. Usually the ones I see on RUclips are so bouncy and chaotic. No wonder why all your horses are having a good time!
So glad to hear and see how well he did! It looks like he's come back from Kentucky fantastically.
Good job Riot! So glad to see him and his confidence back after Kentucky. His ears were on point! ❤
Can you post the link to that vid please
Love this boy. Congratulations, Elisa. He'll be your next 4-star horse, I'm sure
My family and I watch your runs on our 72” big screen! Thank you for sharing all your hard work! 🤩

Love Riot!!! He’s such a legend.
Boy! He sure did take off in spots! 😊
I think Rye Bread wanted to get his money's worth from the brush at 16B! Great view from the helmet cam.
Making it look so easy!

GO RIOT GEAR!!! 😍🎉🎊💃👍
Do you have different horses
She has multiple.
I was just curious what exactly did happen during his cross-country run at Kentucky??
He had a stop so I called it a day.

@@fleetskipper1810 he felt like he couldn’t understand to bounce it or jump it.

Typically Derek do grazia gets it right but I think he missed on a couple of combos especially for the 4star.
Rye’s ears! Pricked forward looking for flags the entire time...you can’t tell me this horse isn’t enjoying the f out of this....gooboy Rye guy!
I love cross country!
so many skinnies x
First?
