Remember for krakens, they happen when no world events are happening. Keep a eye on it only spawns where u are you cant run from it either. U gotta fight it

Beat it first try, took about 2/3 cannon shots per tentacle and I think I only had to destroy 4 of them. The tentacles are extremely hard to miss and your boat is stationary which makes it super easy! I was nervous too before facing one, but honestly they're easy than Skeleton Fleets and Megalodons
Id say forts are pretty fair game along with red tornados. I’m 2 days deep and have gotten all the forts done solo just finished fortune 1 hour ago along with a red tornado as well. I would say only thing to stay away from would be ship stuff because that def takes getting used to.

My favorite is probably Ashen Winds, I think the Ashen lord fights are pretty fun plus I really like getting the ashen winds skull. My least favorite is probably the fort of the damned. I've just done it too many times.

Do you have a friend who is pirate legend? If yes get skill of destiny and do the Fort! It’s not that hard, I have only once been attacked by other players! If you can’t get skull of destiny wait until your pirate legend and do the fort! It’s FUN
@LuckySOT really? My least is the ghost fleet. It just takes forever to catch up to all the main boss ships, especially on sloop (or maybe I just suck at helm)

Cool tips for beginners! If you find the red sea dont be frightened! Keep going forwards to find moses! If you find the black sea make sure to go into the water to find Treasure! (PS: im not liable for damages)

The fleet of fortune was removed in season 12 (3-4 days before the start of the season.) and the tornado of the legend of the veil is not technically a world event. It is still a voyage but everyone can see it.
So wait… why do the regular fort cloud skulls have green eyes while the FORT OF THE DAMNED has red eyes? Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Like, the SEA OF THE DAMNED is more closely associated with that ghostly green colouration and I think it should therefore be switched to give the regular fort clouds red eyes and the Damned Fort green eyes. Okay I got myself into a mindfuck so I need to know who has the answer. So world events scale in difficulty. That changed a few seasons back. What determines the scaling? The closest person or the closest ship? If I'm part of a galley crew and I steal an empty sloop to take to a world event, is it going to scale to a sloop or a galley?
I believe it scales based on the amount of nearby players and not by ships. But it is pretty hard to tell. I wish that sea of thieves would publicly share this kind of information.
So, im just curious. New and on PS5, i know of Reaper chests. My question is what is the difference between the green and red spiral vs the yellow? I've seen both and couldn't tell the difference
No, the amount if money and difficulty are different. Skull fort being the easiest with least amount of money. Fort of danmed isn't a world event. it's a player created event and can be profitable in big amounts. The fort of fortune the hardest and most profitable. PS fort of damned will have the most player contentment.
You can get every curse in the game, they can be toggled on and off similar to how other cosmetic categories work, like hats, shoes etc. Hope this helps!
Can we earn anything by going towards these event things? I went towards the ghost fleet one time but unfortunately my little bozo brother made us sink because he is too focused on wasting bananas on the frying pan rather than helping repair the ship. The only thing I got from the ghost fleets were storage crates which were pretty useful but that’s about it

Fort of the Damned isn't actually a random world event. It an event activated by players, by using a Ritual Skull or Skull Of Destiny

The red boat cloud is the fleet of fortune, similar loot to the fort of fortune
They get rid of that this season and put the chest of fortune back at the forts
I feel like the FoF makes the most sense, hopefully it stays there.

If you’re talking about the short blue swirls those are siren lairs, you dove underwater to loot them

There is a few rounds of ships, you'll want to defeat the ones with logos on their sails for big loot! They happen on the 2nd and last wave!

That's the being outside of the map water. The don't go further out unless you want to sink world event :)
