Please visit www.horizonhobby.com/product/... for more information on the Pro Boat PCF Mark I 24" Swift Patrol Craft RTR.
With the 1/25 scale PCF Mark I, Pro Boat honors the heroes who piloted Patrol Craft Fast (PCF) vessels on patrols during the Vietnam war. Veterans, their families, and history enthusiasts will all appreciate the depth and the accuracy of its detail. On the water, Pro Boat engineering delivers outstanding performance for all RC boat enthusiasts to admire!
The real PCF boats - also known as Swift Boats - were all-aluminum, 50-foot craft developed by request of the U.S. Navy specifically to combat insurgent activities. Initially used to patrol coastal areas, PCF missions later expanded to interior waterways where they carried Vietnamese forces, blocked enemy arms and munitions, and transported SEAL teams for counter-insurgency operations.
Though detailed enough to simply enjoy on display, the Pro Boat PCF Mark I is also equipped to execute daring missions at your local lake or pond. Two 390 brushed motors with aluminum heatsinks supply the muscle to move easily at scale speeds and maneuver with finesse. The included Spektrum SLT3 radio and 40-amp ESC/RX 2-in-1 provide dependable control of the on-board electronics - and let you operate the boat’s LED lights right from the transmitter.
In addition to the lights, there are plenty more faithful scale features on the molded ABS hull. These include a .50 caliber gun on the bow, M60 machine guns, and a .50mm gun on the transom, plus life rings, docking tires, light pods, antennas, rail chains, and a flag. Eager to take its accuracy to an even higher level? The PCF Mark I comes ready to upgrade for an optional rotating machine gun turret (servo and custom transmitter required).
Out of the box, the Pro Boat PCF Mark I arrives expertly painted and finished with an accurate military trim scheme that enhances the boat’s scale realism and its ready-to-run ease. Just add your choice of 3S LiPo battery and charger and you’re ready for patrol!

    Dear Horizon Hobbies,
Please make a large rc scale warship like a destroyer or battleship! It'd be really awesome- I know you guys can do it 💯👍 They'd also sell like hotcakes too.

I have one. I made it look like a crew boat! Very carefully dremelled the rear deck gun base and the upper turret! Less top heavy also! Added some scale paint and some more tires and she looks like a WEEKS crew boat!!

Proboat drops another super scale watercraft with great detail out of the box! Need more of this, such as the DUAL JET DRIVE alpha patrol, based on the Vietnam era diesel powers military patrol! That was an ITEM!!! HOPEFULLY this is a signal of proboat placing major effort BACK Into the scale category, and not just "wake boats" for all the go fast guys! Oh, and while your at it..... WE NEED RIVER JET PARTS!!! WOULD IT HURT SOMEBODY TO PRESS OUT SOME MORE? you design a boat with fatigue parts, then don't offer them. Sorry guys I love you and all, but CANNOT FORGET if I wanted, that my FAVORITE PROBOAT, has more 3rd party support than manufacturer... Can't have that with a jet boat....

Hey guys.. can you start R&D on something like this with a Tri-cat hull, broad Bow and maybe a detachable push frame?
(Kinda like the jet jams push bar)
Not necessarily a dedicated recovery rig, but somewhere between 29-34in, 3s capability, single jet propulsion unit, white lights (bright enough for night time recovery of larger boats)
Maybe a tow system... (think magnetic)
The Horizon tug is cool n all, but it sucks as a mono hull, for recoveries.
    Thanks in advance!

The lights can be controlled via the SLT3 radio with a push button. The lights also require no plugging in between the deck and cabin. A magnetic connection is made automatically.

I'm interested in buying this boat, and making it into a retrieval/rescue boat. The Pro Boat Tug, I REALLY want, from what I've read on Horizon Hobby's website, is complete junk, full of problems, right out of the box. Everything from as little as the LED's not working, to dead in the water a lot, and even smoking and sinking! 90+ Reviews, and the boat only gets a 2.25 out of 5. I can't see spending $449.99 - $60.00 using the Father's Day code, through the 18th of this month putting you a $380.00 for a boat that has a 55% chance of having any number of problems, especially when going out to save another boat. I read where one poor person, sent the Tug out, to retrieve a $600.00+ dollar fast boat, and BOTH boats never made it back!

Good looking and neatly sailing RTR, handles well and looks good on the water. Needless to say, propshafts are not lubricated, the rudders are exactly in line with props, and its impossible to get at the release screws for the rudders. This is so STUPID, so one is left with a good little model that is noisy, and impossible to maintain. It only needs a little common sense from Proboat to rectify basic design faults.
It is also such a shame that 'forward thinking' eludes Proboat - why are the three Vietnam boat models (PBR, Riverine, and this,) not in the same scale? Brilliant chance missed.

Why did you all stop making the PBR?! Too poor sales? R/C boaters only wanting speed boats in the 2020s? If, so, this will fare no better. (Note: I own both and they are fine boats). You gotta have a PCF if you have a PBR. They're workmates.
