I wanted to make a musical based on the Dr. Seuss stories once, except I wanted to use Dr. Seuss' own songs from the TV movies like this one. Of course, before I could get it together 'Seussical' came out. I have to admit though, they did a better job than I probably would have.
Well, admittingly in the 1970s version the Wickersham Brothers were played by the late great Thurl Ravenscroft and those who are aware of his work know his voice to be intimidating. Plus there's Lord knows how ,many of them and only one elephant. The odds weren't exactly in his favor. And don't say that's not what it looks like in the video, It was made clear that there was more than three.
They are, but Thurl not only founded the Mello Men, but also played their leader. I mostly credited him for the performance, but only because I couldn't mind much out about the rest of the quartet.
@hemanshera777 I know, right? When I first heard the soundtrack I actually thought there WAS an animated version, but to my disappointment, there isn't. I feel like it'd be a 2D animated movie, but that's just me X3 I'd love to animate some of these one day.
I remember doing this play in middle school,I was Vlad and my mom was a Who.
Expecting one of those clips would be from the cat in the hat knows a lot about that
I died when the cat came on
not bad :) I wanted to do this with the whole album. But I realized that would be tough since Gertrude McFuzz has never been animated :/

I thought the Wickersham Brothers were voiced by the Mello Men.

Well, should you get to that point, just let me know. I personally have a few acting classes before I can really take off, anyway.
Say, should you become an animator, you mind hiring me on board a few of your projects? I'm trying to become a voice actor.
