  • Lowrance Pro Marc Marcantonio shows detailed step-by-step installation of Dual Active Target 2 units on his Ranger Z20. After unboxing the two Active Target 2 units, Marc discusses his plan, how to connect the power cables and mount two boxes in the starboard rod locker, connection of the yellow and blue wires (and red/black), then how to route dual transducer cables to the rod locker, and how to install the transducers. In this Part 1 Marc covers the unboxing, mounting of the AT2 boxes, and the wiring connections. This is a comprehensive video with many tips included along the way. Marc also wires a power cable for his Aqua Vu underwater camera. Part 2 will then cover how to solve the problem of dual transducer cable routing, and how to mount the transducers for both Forward View and Scout View on his Ghost Trolling Motor. He also shows how to protect all cables with split loom covers.

    Great job as always. The Blue “Ping Sync” wire will be the newest source of questions for Lowrance customers who wire their units. You have explained that here in the video so hopefully they take the time to view it both parts. 👍🏻👍🏻

      Very true. That is why I made a detailed instructional video rather than an entertainment video. There will also be a lot of problems installing two AT2 transducer cables and ethernet cables...Part 2 shows how to solve these problems also. Thanks Dale!

    I've got a 2006 G3 . The trolling motor is a plan Minn Kota 80 thrust. I have a couple hook7 graphs. I plan on replacing EVERYTHING. Trolling motor, 2 graphs, 3 lithium batteries, wiring kit, transducers..misc. What is a guesstimated price for the whole set up if you don't mind me asking. All Lowrance.

      Going all Lowrance with the Ghost motor is a smart plan. I would check with Russell Marine Products (RMP) for a quote since they also take trade-ins on your old electronics. Otherwise you can go to BassProShops.com to calculate pricing. There are usually no discounts on Lowrance gear, though there are often rebates available (check on www.lowrance.com for current rebates)....thanks for watching.

    How do you calibrate the icon on the screen for which direction the AT2 transducer is facing or is it even necessary??

    • @marcmarcantonio
      @marcmarcantonio  8 месяцев назад +1

      If you have a Ghost motor and a Point-1, then it isn't necessary. If you have a motor with magnets in it then it is more difficult since the magnets affect the heading sensor in the AT transducer. Try moving your transducer 10" above your motor.

      @@marcmarcantonio Hey buddy, thank you very much for the feedback. I have an Ultrex. I just turned the “icon” off and look at the TM head.

    • @marcmarcantonio
      @marcmarcantonio  Год назад +1

      It is extremely effective and an great addition to my electronics. I have used it as deep as 65 feet for bass myself, and have friends who use it deeper in saltwater.

    Do you need S3100 module to run 2 Active Target 2?

      Not at all.

      Once you installed 2 Active Target. Do you have to update the 2nd active target as well?

      Hi Marc, one more question. If the first AT2 Ethernet cord/yellow cord plugs into your unit/graph. Where would the 2nd AT2 Ethernet cord/yellow plug plug into? Does it go into the same unit/graph as the first AT2? Or do you plug the 2nd AT2 into a second unit/graph?

      @@616_overlanders9Each AT box has to be updated. They can be done individually or at the same time as in my video.

      @@616_overlanders9I have both boxes plugged into the same HDS Pro, but they can be plugged in on any ethernet port on an ethernet network.
