It’s hard to say which one is better because both brands have their respective traits, which is why I collect both brands. I will say this though. If you like your diecast cars to roll. Mini GT is your best bet because Tarmac Works is hit or miss, meaning some cars roll, others roll very well, and others don’t roll at all. Specially the earlier models.
When I bought the Tarmac Works Silvia RS-02 Silvia the first one I got was the chase and was a real surprise, and then I had to buy the the actual release hoping I would get the red version! I have every Mini GT Nissan SIlvia S15 made to date
@@Slav_Cream Video is Tarmac vs Mini GT. And Hot Wheels is not much cheaper. Here Hot Wheels is 12 euro and MiniGT 13 euro and i still prefere MiniGT because it is more accurate with the real car.
@@Slav_Cream HW Premium prices are skyrocketing. They're getting as expensive as entry level and mid level premium 1/64 diecasts but with only half the details because they're still made to be able to roll in HW tracks and be durable which... Are two qualities that premium diecast collectors don't care.
Thanks for clarifying. I was actually worried that mine were unboxed/uncarded, slipped into the smaller cardboard box, wrapped in cellophane and sold at the same price! 🙄
@@VishnuPrasad-qu6qc Mijo Exclusives is the only company that receives the cars in the clamshell, as I stated they are for North American distribution only, Everyone else gets them in the box. All of my Mijo Exclusives Mini GT have been taken out of the clamshell and stored in the box. The early Mijo Exclusives packaging had all the licenses on the clamshell inserted card and not on the back of the box so if you're a puriist then you won't open the clamshell. I did anyway lol. The new Mijo packaging now has a window behind the box and the licensing is on the box where it should be!
For me depends on their price. I mean in S.Korea, TARMAC price is higher than MiniGT. (Hotwheel less than ₩10,000, Greenlight around ₩20,000, MiniGT start from ₩20,000, Tarmac over ₩30,000 normally.)
depends on the line up. The global64 are the ones that are similar to mini gt prices stuff, the higher prices are hobby 64 lines where they are in acrylic display cases and technically have more details
I don't think you can combine the word quality control with hot wheels too much? Generally speaking, there is some quality involved for sure, but the QA for this stuff is a lot more stringent.
well tarmac works has a few line ups. The global 64 is the line that is mostly similar to mini gt stuff and hobby 64 are the more higher priced ones with more details and comes as a acrylic case package
I only got two tworks yet that I could compare with mini gt,, pagani zonda r and zonda revolucion. When compared to the mini gt counterpart, I do like better the paint job done on the mini gt pagani's.
I have my first tarmac, inno64, street weapon, mini gt, and kaido house x mini gt coming in soon just to look at all of their differences so I can see what brand I really want to move forward in collecting. I got a couple of each but I really love the way kaido house does their packaging, but I think inno absolutely takes the cake on detail. mini gt seems to be the best for the budget collector though, a great sweet spot between quality and budget with great cars (for my taste)
In my experience i had the runner die view mirrors pn the minigt and the meatl ones for the tarmac works. Although thats probably because i got a limited edition or at least a special edition because it came in like a plastic display box
I really don't get the point of writing 1 of 4800 on the card. That's nothing special, I bought an exclusive Hobby Master F-104 and that said 118 of 750 on the card.
@@modelcarshouston i think so just based on other rubber products ive owned for say, 10+ years. Be it tech products or toys, they just seem to melt or degrade. But they made their choice i guess.
tarmac works car's decal is just like a cover, not painting on the casting. so if you're not be careful, your car decals'll easily get damaged and it will expose the raw casting. Easy to understand, it like ur shirt get torn. so tarmac works quality really bad. sorry 4 bad english
Both of them doesn't have Disk brake & Caliper Tarmac's Global64 is like same as Mini GT But Tarmac Global64 is better then Mini GT Mini GT have many issue their shape is not accurate beside Tarmac is far better then Mini GT

Usually it's the GLOBAL64 lineup that rolls, especially those made in recent years.
I have this weird suspicion, considering the quality and techniques are so similar, they might be using same tooling.

NICE!!!!!
Sometimes tarmac quality control its really bad but that one looks awesome
Exactly
Tarmac of course is better.
And TARMAC WORKS EVEN BETTER!
All this video did was make me want them both because they’re different
I like both.
But i would buy whatever is cheaper, so probably MiniGT.
hotwheels are cheaper lol

people really cant stand a joke
You can see glue in the corners if you zoom Tarmac headlights. Mini GT does it better. Other than that both models look good.
Mini GT only comes in the clamshell for US distribution in the Mijo Exclusives. Most of my Mini GT have come just in the celophane wrapped box
Correct!

Tarmac for sure.
❤❤❤
I have both, they are pretty close
Hotwheels is less detailed but Quality control is much much better, I´ve had minGTs with bent spoilers and tarmac with paint scratches...
I don't think you can combine the word quality control with hot wheels too much?
Generally speaking, there is some quality involved for sure, but the QA for this stuff is a lot more stringent.
Hot Wheels are manufactured as toys and they being less fragile is why they have less QC issues than MiniGT.
🤔TARMAC around $20s & MINI GTs around $12
This model of tarmac costs around 12-14$
Tarmac On Top! SHEEESH

In Europe Mini GT also only comes in box. My retailer friend showed the stock, boxes after boxes :)
Mini gt not really limited. Its just the amount supplied and packaged by mijo.
I only got two tworks yet that I could compare with mini gt,, pagani zonda r and zonda revolucion. When compared to the mini gt counterpart, I do like better the paint job done on the mini gt pagani's.
Having both, it's hard to choose. Each has pros and cons. I like the Mini GT more cuz the wheels dont look as cheap vs the Tarmac.
We are looking at the same cars?
Well, no because you're not i my house, lol.@@CS-ro1mx
Tarmac usually more expensive tho

is it complicated to buy some of these in europe? 🤔
I have heard some horror stories.
Oh, not a good sign...
The tarmac Silvia has a bit more detail than my hot works one!
I love both, but tarmac cars are a bit more special to me
Much prefer INNO64 and Tarmac Works to MiniGT. Though i absolutely hate the rubber mirrors. They will eventually just degrade with time or tear off.
Do you think? I also prefer the metal mirrors as a permanent solution. The rubber was probably to mitigate the constant breaking off of this part.

Tarmac since I ordered 13 for my pc for the wheels 😄
