I bought one of those Turbine engine kits years ago. I was never sure what to do with it but now that I see what you have done I need to get an Astro kit LOL Your engine is the first time I have ever seen anyone assemble the engine kit - it looks great! 👍 Subbed !
John, I love your cab over. That blue is perfect for a frame/chasis setup. And great looking cab. Congrats on your excellent looking build. Now if only it could start thunderstorming to really make your day special. Thanks for posting this cool build.
Don’t sweat those rings splitting. The real ones are like that that’s why they call them Split Rims or widow makers They were very dangerous when changing. Take it from a old school trucker. On the peep window on the right side you can hand paint it Gloss black on the real trucks you never can see in them anyway and it will hide the mistakes you made on it. Nice build so far. These Astro models are fun to build I’ve built several and have several Titan and Astros in the stash.
The reason the front wheel rings broke is not because of them being chromed, it's due to them being tooled too tight. What you need to do is take your exacto and scrape the inner part of the rings until they go on easy. Or you can make your own set of wheel rings the correct size.

Looking good. 👍
@@Terry-390 Thank You!
Black that bottom side window by the passenger door. Tight fit glue had gotten on mine so I blacked it out.
@@KeithTardy-pv2wt I should’ve done that! Much appreciated Keith!

@@daviddooley5361 Ohh OK that definitely makes sense! I’ll remember that next time. Thanks for the heads up!
@@johngligo4049 You're welcome. I've built a number of the AMT big rig kits over the years and they all seem to have the very same problem.
Nice looking build I painted my Rat Fink International 4070a Transtar Coe Truck frame the same color seems we have some of the same taste 😂😂 👍👍🛞💨🏁🤘
