Short brush user here! I want to point out one of reasons I find them so helpful, which I don't see many people talk about. I am *incredibly* near-sighted. When I take my glasses off to do my makeup, I (literally) cannot see what I'm doing in the mirror unless it's 6 inches from my face. Long handled brushes can make maneuvering around quite difficult, especially if I'm forced to use a mirror on the wall - I end up bonking the brush handles up against surfaces, lol. That being said, I'd still *never* pay nearly $600 for a set of travel brushes, haha.
This Halo fight reminds of a kid who doesn’t want a toy until someone else really wants it. It’s less about how they’ll love and enjoy it, more about making sure nobody else gets to have it. If they can keep it away, they enjoy the “win” and then just keep ignoring it.
I loved Halo Beauty but totally understand why Tati stepped away. I think this is honestly greed on Clark Swanson's part. She said she feared for the company's fate once he took over. Even if you're following them on Instagram even the social engagement is completely different. They're deleting comments about him, they're defensive to questions about the price raises, this sadly looks like he's shooting himself in the foot. And Karma is starting to pay him an overdue visit. If Halo survives through the rest of the year I'll be very shocked.

Yes! The older I get, the more beauty I see in aging gracefully, which I think Martha absolutely has. I'm sure she's had some plastic surgery, but it seems like it has been very restrained and thoughtfully done. Nothing screams desperation like the pillow face look we're seeing all over the place these days.

My guess is that Halo knows the customers are going to leave soon, so they’re trying to lock in the last batch by making the undecided ones panic. I don’t think they’re counting on the new prices, they’re hoping for a sudden surge with the old prices, keeping the customers for another year while they’re preparing for the end.

Not a full solution, but maybe putting your mirror lower and angled up might help!! It’s the best position for doing eyeshadow cuz you’re looking down, it keeps your eyes smooth while you’re applying & blending
Reminder that Hair Skin & Nails vitamins don’t do much of anything & you’d be better off eating some leafy green veg & getting some Vitamin D in the form of good ‘ol sunshine for better results!
Yeah, I highly disagree with that. The people who say “vitamin D and vegetables” already have good hair and skin. Tati’s HSN literally made my hair thicker and my skin clearer. I’ve never experienced that from a HSN.
In order for a good diet to help you out you have to already have your digestive system in tip top shape. Poor digestion is unfortunately something a lot of people are dealing with and so they aren't getting the nutrients even when eating the right things.
i would amend this, not all hair skin and nails are made equal. I've tried increasing leafy greens alone and it wasn't enough. i have to take hair, skin and nails alongside a better diet to get the right balance. I've honestly trialled both methods with multiple brands. never used hers though since it is way more expensive than my favourite

I think it has to do with Tati leaving, the 1st email they sent mention it’s been seven years and we haven’t raised our prices. Also I think they’ve stayed sold out of the refill packs because they have to use all the lids that say xoxo Tati on them, because after a while I stopped receiving refills packs and just new bottles in my subscription. I did take a break from the HSN and got it recently before the price increase and don’t like the taste, I never remembered there being a strong taste, but like I said I took a break but that left me feeling like these has been a quality change as well.
I still have an active subscription until I find a good substitution for Kiwi, and the Her Daily Multi Booster pill I just got is a new color. The label is exactly the same so either theyre using new supply vendors (probably to save $) or they reformulated without disclosing. Time to find a new one!

I canceled my Halo Beauty subscription after they didnt ship my HSN for months, ignored emails questioning where my refill was, and when they finally sent out my last refill, the quality seemed different. The color of the capsule ingredients was noticably lighter than it used to be. I actually saw results with the HSN, so canceling bummed me out, but they stopped being reliable in shipping. I didnt even know Tati left Halo until i went to her channel. I was going to give her a piece of my mind, but then i found out she left and it all made sense. Its a shame, because it was a good product, but i think they are cheaping out on ingredient quality now.
Wish this had been out last week. My partner surprised me last weekend & took me to shop for make up & clothes as an early birthday gift I would have totally used the affiliate code for one size. I did exactly what Jen mentioned for the setting spray the small one to try it out, did the medium size the 2nd time around & we got the biggest bottle last week because the boyfriend did the math & we both love how it sets my makeup & it has such a pleasant smell 😂

I've used the Halo hair skin nails since the beginning. It really works on my nails. I will be looking for a replacement. It was something I was likely to do after the story with Tati came out, but the price increases finalized that
The Rhodes moisturizer has Polyglutamic Acid which attracts 4000x its weight in water, so it pulls in more than Hyaluronic Acid (at 1000x). I’ve been using a Korean serum with it for a few years and love it. You can find it in a few serums (Prequel has one, Sephora, Inkey List). Anyway, I’d be interested in trying this because it would combine a couple of steps (serum + moisturizer) especially for traveling.
So funny you are covering this today because literally just THIS morning I was driving my car to work, thinking how unfortunate it is that Swanson inherited “Halo” and raised the prices so much. I refuse to buy from him no matter what. I actually used to buy Kiwi vitamins a lot since they helped with my sensitive skin and eczema, but I will not buy it ever again unless he sells the company. Such a racket. Even if the prices stayed the same, I will never buy them from Swanson.
Merit makes some really cool products. What I’ve tried I’ve really really liked. They’re for who they’re for (if you look at their marketing and product photos, you’ll know right away if they’re for you or not) but the formulas are really cool, different from what I’ve tried from other brands, comfortable and wearable everyday, and I really like their packaging. It’s just simple, and classy, and pretty. Big fan. The couple holiday kits they’ve come out with at Sephora (lipstick and blush). I got both and I really like both. I didn’t realize the lipstick kit had 3 different formulas in it, which is something to note. I really like their signature satin lipstick, the lip blush is surprisingly awesome, im not personally as fond of the matte (just not my preferred look, but it is a solid matte lipstick, fairly comfortable, doesn’t feather, lasts pretty long for a bullet lipstick). And I like the colors. But I am a very fair person and it seems like the colors were chosen for people with complexions similar to mine, maybe up to medium. Maybe. I would’ve liked to see two different kits, one for fair-light, one for medium-deep, because it’s tough to come out with a single kit with 3 shades that are wearable for both fair and deep skin tones. It’s either ashy for the melanin blessed or ultra bright/bold for those of us who resemble a sheet of printer paper.
Honestly, the Alice in Wonderland set could have been better and more cohesive. Especially with it being the Tim Burton version, they could have gone more wild, more wacky.
Thank you for all you do on this channel. I love watching the product report while working every Monday. Weirdly, Halo saved my life. I was taking the brain and body and HDNs every day. I was feeling great but I had really bad body treamers. My doctor ordered every test possible, and I found out I have Wilson's disease. Because Halo has so many ingredients that have copper, my doctor was about figuring out what was wrong with me. Now I am on medication. If not for Tati and Halo, I don't I would have ever been diagnosed.
Swanson had been a family friend and pressured Tati into doing supplements before doing makeup. Then he fought for the company to take for himself-and now tbh *none* of the people who take these want to continue taking the supplements. Swanson is greed to the core.
The wet & wild stuff is also, oddly enough, in some Shoprites if they have a rotating section. Mine has a halloween/fall section right now and there’s been a wet/wild halloween makeup display up for nearly 3 weeks.
Brands must have a lot of overstock to get rid of. For years we saw the same gift sets from the same few brands. Tarte, Mac, Too Faced, benefit, fenty, Lauren mercier and then a couple skincare brands but this year every brand and their mother has holiday gift sets out. It’s completely overwhelming. Thankfully I don’t want or need anything but if I did, I wouldn’t know where to start.
I was a loyal fan to halo beauty. I bought supplements for me and for my husband for a long long time. Regularly. When I found out about Tati leaving, I left too. I started getting them somewhere else. I was only supporting her anyways. I have been getting nonstop emails from them asking me to come back and buy the vitamins. They miss me etc etc...i even replied to their customer service and told them that I'm sure they don't care but that I won't buy them again because Tati is gone. Sooooo I'm sure I'm not the only one leaving. And this was a terrible move.
Im not sure if this is old news but there is some Korean makeup going around, specifically lipstick, that makes you look undead like lots of extremely pale desaturated lipsticks and glossy greys/blacks... it'd be cool if you looked into it!!
Before I got my eyes fixed I would have REALLY loved the short handles due to how nearsighted I was. Like, the long handle was too long to fit between face and mirror if I was working close enough to see what I was doing. The short handle would have greatly increased the accessibility of my makeup to me.
Hi Jen- my other half is a film collector and animation historian/professor. He says that those were 8 mm films that your parents had with a projector that could be bought at Kmart! For home use. They had a lot of films available for home use that were just basically edited down versions of the movies. and they were super popular. We have a whole bunch of them in my basement even though he specializes in 16 mm which is twice as big! I often find some of his films that he's been looking at on top of my laundry mountain downstairs.
I was really into the beauty space in 2016ish when I wore makeup. I stopped wearing makeup in 2020. I don’t plan on picking it back up. Yet here I am watching your videos every week like I’m considering everything in the product report 😹 You are very entertaining. Much love
I learned to wash my face and moisturize daily before I was 13. I couldn't wear makeup but we washed her face and we moisturized. I'm now in my mid '50s and I never have behaved my age but I certainly don't look like it. A lot of that is thanks to retinoids coming out otc same with hyaluronic acid which just is an amazing skin tool❤
I was very confused when I saw Tati promoting Halo Beauty in a video that was only a couple of weeks old. I thought she was officially done months ago. As far as products with hyaluronic acid... I use the (wildly inexpensive) HA serum from Good Molecules, and my 54-year-old face has seen a significant difference in the past six months since I added HA to my skincare routine. We all know that Robert's palette will be sold out in minutes. I just hope Blend Bunny restocks.

Holo taco is the best nail polish I have ever used! I’m cheap when it comes to a lot of things but the polish is worth the price! They are beautiful and the base coat, top coat, etc are amazing! Polish lasts so much longer than any I’ve ever used.
First I'm going to say I absolutely loved you jump scare and I love jump scaring people with my masks too lol. Second I really liked this long product detail holiday set detail video. I don't need more makeup/skincare but it's nice knowing about the set in case I can get a deal on some things I thought about trying. Also, the TirTir cleansing balm has the same ingredient you were talking about as their first ingredient. I really like the same cleansing balms you mentioned and maybe that ingredient is why I really like TirTir as much as I do Banila Co. Thanks for putting 2 and 2 together for me. I'll start looking at that because it's likely why I like those same products.

Just a tip so you can wear the Fondation that breaks up on your nose prime with eye primer to help keep it on the nose. Hope it helps you.

I canceled my Halo Beauty subscription after they didnt ship my HSN for months, ignored emails questioning where my refill was, and when they finally sent out my last refill, the quality seemed different. The color of the capsule ingredients was noticably lighter than it used to be. I actually saw results with the HSN, so canceling bummed me out, but they stopped being reliable in shipping. I didnt even know Tati left Halo until i went to her channel. I was going to give her a piece of my mind, but then i found out she left and it all made sense. Its a shame, because it was a good product, but i think they are cheaping out on ingredient quality now.

Wish this had been out last week. My partner surprised me last weekend & took me to shop for make up & clothes as an early birthday gift I would have totally used the affiliate code for one size. I did exactly what Jen mentioned for the setting spray the small one to try it out, did the medium size the 2nd time around & we got the biggest bottle last week because the boyfriend did the math & we both love how it sets my makeup & it has such a pleasant smell 😂

I love my Too Faced Chocolate Mousse sculpting Stick! I’m passing on Sephora Faves, don’t strike me that much different than last year. You mentioned the other video you haven’t bought anything from Sephora in the past few years, I’m getting to that stage myself- reward points buying direct from a brand is way to go over Sephora reward points 🤷♀️ Also a mom in the basement, my favorite place to be ❤❤

The Rhodes moisturizer has Polyglutamic Acid which attracts 4000x its weight in water, so it pulls in more than Hyaluronic Acid (at 1000x). I’ve been using a Korean serum with it for a few years and love it. You can find it in a few serums (Prequel has one, Sephora, Inkey List). Anyway, I’d be interested in trying this because it would combine a couple of steps (serum + moisturizer) especially for traveling.
So funny you are covering this today because literally just THIS morning I was driving my car to work, thinking how unfortunate it is that Swanson inherited “Halo” and raised the prices so much. I refuse to buy from him no matter what. I actually used to buy Kiwi vitamins a lot since they helped with my sensitive skin and eczema, but I will not buy it ever again unless he sells the company. Such a racket. Even if the prices stayed the same, I will never buy them from Swanson.
Merit makes some really cool products. What I’ve tried I’ve really really liked. They’re for who they’re for (if you look at their marketing and product photos, you’ll know right away if they’re for you or not) but the formulas are really cool, different from what I’ve tried from other brands, comfortable and wearable everyday, and I really like their packaging. It’s just simple, and classy, and pretty. Big fan.
The couple holiday kits they’ve come out with at Sephora (lipstick and blush). I got both and I really like both. I didn’t realize the lipstick kit had 3 different formulas in it, which is something to note. I really like their signature satin lipstick, the lip blush is surprisingly awesome, im not personally as fond of the matte (just not my preferred look, but it is a solid matte lipstick, fairly comfortable, doesn’t feather, lasts pretty long for a bullet lipstick). And I like the colors. But I am a very fair person and it seems like the colors were chosen for people with complexions similar to mine, maybe up to medium. Maybe. I would’ve liked to see two different kits, one for fair-light, one for medium-deep, because it’s tough to come out with a single kit with 3 shades that are wearable for both fair and deep skin tones. It’s either ashy for the melanin blessed or ultra bright/bold for those of us who resemble a sheet of printer paper.

Honestly, the Alice in Wonderland set could have been better and more cohesive. Especially with it being the Tim Burton version, they could have gone more wild, more wacky.

Weirdly, Halo saved my life. I was taking the brain and body and HDNs every day. I was feeling great but I had really bad body treamers. My doctor ordered every test possible, and I found out I have Wilson's disease. Because Halo has so many ingredients that have copper, my doctor was about figuring out what was wrong with me. Now I am on medication. If not for Tati and Halo, I don't I would have ever been diagnosed.
Swanson had been a family friend and pressured Tati into doing supplements before doing makeup. Then he fought for the company to take for himself-and now tbh *none* of the people who take these want to continue taking the supplements. Swanson is greed to the core.
The wet & wild stuff is also, oddly enough, in some Shoprites if they have a rotating section. Mine has a halloween/fall section right now and there’s been a wet/wild halloween makeup display up for nearly 3 weeks.

Brands must have a lot of overstock to get rid of. For years we saw the same gift sets from the same few brands. Tarte, Mac, Too Faced, benefit, fenty, Lauren mercier and then a couple skincare brands but this year every brand and their mother has holiday gift sets out. It’s completely overwhelming. Thankfully I don’t want or need anything but if I did, I wouldn’t know where to start.
My fave new fragrances is the Orabella line.... AND THAT Merit bottle looks like a copycat of their bottles...Love Orabella so much... 'chef's kiss'

I was a loyal fan to halo beauty. I bought supplements for me and for my husband for a long long time. Regularly. When I found out about Tati leaving, I left too. I started getting them somewhere else. I was only supporting her anyways. I have been getting nonstop emails from them asking me to come back and buy the vitamins. They miss me etc etc...i even replied to their customer service and told them that I'm sure they don't care but that I won't buy them again because Tati is gone. Sooooo I'm sure I'm not the only one leaving. And this was a terrible move.
Im not sure if this is old news but there is some Korean makeup going around, specifically lipstick, that makes you look undead like lots of extremely pale desaturated lipsticks and glossy greys/blacks... it'd be cool if you looked into it!!

Before I got my eyes fixed I would have REALLY loved the short handles due to how nearsighted I was.
Like, the long handle was too long to fit between face and mirror if I was working close enough to see what I was doing.
The short handle would have greatly increased the accessibility of my makeup to me.
Hi Jen- my other half is a film collector and animation historian/professor. He says that those were 8 mm films that your parents had with a projector that could be bought at Kmart! For home use. They had a lot of films available for home use that were just basically edited down versions of the movies. and they were super popular. We have a whole bunch of them in my basement even though he specializes in 16 mm which is twice as big! I often find some of his films that he's been looking at on top of my laundry mountain downstairs.
I was really into the beauty space in 2016ish when I wore makeup. I stopped wearing makeup in 2020. I don’t plan on picking it back up. Yet here I am watching your videos every week like I’m considering everything in the product report 😹 You are very entertaining. Much love

I learned to wash my face and moisturize daily before I was 13. I couldn't wear makeup but we washed her face and we moisturized.
I'm now in my mid '50s and I never have behaved my age but I certainly don't look like it. A lot of that is thanks to retinoids coming out otc same with hyaluronic acid which just is an amazing skin tool❤

I was very confused when I saw Tati promoting Halo Beauty in a video that was only a couple of weeks old. I thought she was officially done months ago.
As far as products with hyaluronic acid... I use the (wildly inexpensive) HA serum from Good Molecules, and my 54-year-old face has seen a significant difference in the past six months since I added HA to my skincare routine.
We all know that Robert's palette will be sold out in minutes. I just hope Blend Bunny restocks.

Holo taco is the best nail polish I have ever used! I’m cheap when it comes to a lot of things but the polish is worth the price! They are beautiful and the base coat, top coat, etc are amazing! Polish lasts so much longer than any I’ve ever used.

First I'm going to say I absolutely loved you jump scare and I love jump scaring people with my masks too lol. Second I really liked this long product detail holiday set detail video. I don't need more makeup/skincare but it's nice knowing about the set in case I can get a deal on some things I thought about trying.
Also, the TirTir cleansing balm has the same ingredient you were talking about as their first ingredient. I really like the same cleansing balms you mentioned and maybe that ingredient is why I really like TirTir as much as I do Banila Co. Thanks for putting 2 and 2 together for me. I'll start looking at that because it's likely why I like those same products.

I am 41, and everyone is saying that Charlotte tilbury foundation is good for the skin, aging, acne.. You're my go to all the skin care things go to : I would like to know what you really think about all the claims.
As a VERY nearsighted person I preferred shorter handles on brushes. Longer handles were harder to use while needing to be close to the mirror.
