Simply lovely!
Thanks! 😃
wow, l loved that vintage art. what a great find. God bless
I know, right?? 4.99 is a steal!! 😃
Ohhh wow..i love that rusty crusty beadboard cabinet! Very cool piece & great price! That's my kind of piece too, the shelves remind me of my old primitive step back cupboard with the different paint colors, partly painted and chipped. That frame was gorgeous! Ohhh Goodness i absolutely love the large art piece with those sweet kiddos!! I love collecting that type of art❤ The little table did have a primitive look. I like mixing pieces like that in with other pieces, turns out really nice if styled right😉 I have this minature spinning wheel that is just the right size to hang those little spools on! Lol yep what we do for those grandbabies😊 Ohhh wow great finds on the road side, love those! Thanks For Sharing With Us!!
I hollered out loud and stomped the brakes when I spotted those mantle looking things! They've been outside, I wonder if they were on someone's porch as short tables?
Thanks for the tour of the new store. I would have given that crusty workbench some serious consideration also. Someday I want to get to that part of the country to do some thrifting. I love your clear glasses. They look beautiful on you. ❤ So happy to see you brought home the painting of the children crossing the stream. The best art is the pieces that touch your soul. The $18 Hello Kitty glass story was hilarious. I have done things similar to that for all my grandkids. I think that is on page 5 of the "How to Grandparent" manual! 😂. Thanks for sharing all your goodies. ❤
😄 we do things for our little loves that we would not otherwise consider!! They're WORTH IT. I just spent 50c on each granddaughter to get a tiny little animal out of the vending machine at our fav restaurant (Ruby's Mexican Grill). Claire got a 1 inch gray kitten and Margaret Anne got a little yellow chihuahua! Such fun! 🐈 🐕
I will probably think of 7 places I could have used that old workbench now that I left it behind...
These clear glasses are readers that I got from Amazon. They came in a pack of 7, variety of colors, and frames are thick and sturdy enough to stand up to my rough use! 👓 I do look like Henry Kissinger in the black framed ones 😆
How far away is Alabama from where you live? Are you a Yankee? 😄 I'd go thrifting with you if you come this far! 💕
No Yankee here! 😄I live in western Kentucky close to the Tennessee border. My husband's niece just opened a boutique clothing store in Athens, Alabama and we are hoping to make a trip to see her and her new shop soon.
@itzasunnyday4me oh that's north Alabama! Not too far at all! 😃
Beautiful painting
Tin snips. They cut metal.
Oh! Makes sense! ✂️
I absolutely love that picture!
That painting has so much character! The faces of the children make me think the artist might have painted real children he knew. He certainly captured a precious moment of their play, before technology lured children indoors all the time ❤️
I am so glad you bought that picture of the creek crossing. I loved that! When you pointed out the workbench, my husband said, "She's just like you!" lol! Beautiful in its on way. So much potential. My first thought about the things in the back of your truck was that one of them might make a good flat screen t.v. stand. (provided they can stand on their own or be anchored.) As always, I enjoyed hanging out with you.
Julieanna, that.old workbench was charming in all its decrepit disrepair! 😄
That's a good idea for the mantle looking things... they're probably about the height that would fit under the two windows on my front porch, so I am considering placing them there as sort of plant stands. They're rather water damaged on top, too swampy for indoors but ok for the porch to hold pots, I think! I will share what I do with them 😊
The painting is stunning
I am just loving it! 😃 💕
Faces matter to me too! Love that painting!!❤
Those children in the painting had precious faces! 😍
Thanks for sharing the shopping! Many great finds,I wish I was there. Terri
It's one of my favorite thrift stores! And I know the owners! 😃
Yes, yes ,yes on the REAL way to cut cantaloupe! My mom taught me too.
I gasped the first time I saw him make a naked cantaloupe! 😄 🙈
We have a radio like that and it is a record player too! It was my in-laws!
So cool! I will bring one home when I find one priced $10 😄
Picture so sweet
Fun to go thrifting with you, wish I lived close enough to go to those stores---but then I wish I lived close enough to every thrift store in the country (in the world?!!) to go shopping there. I'm looking at my suggested videos here & mercy me, you have a thrift video for just about every day this month, you had better get yourself a bigger house with a barn! But now I have the pleasure to go back & watch all of them & catch up!
Oh, I do a LOT of sharing! My 3 daughters' houses are decorated with my finds, and I do donate back to my local ministry thrift stores regularly! I also sell some things every so often, and I have had a vendor booth as well (but not currently.) No one could collect so many things that they outgrew their home! You can watch without worrying. I keep a steady flow OUT as well as in! 😊 💕
Also, I have a large she shed being built, and it's going to be my very own "Cracker Barrel" style retreat, full of old vintage things!
Great haul, loved the typewriter though!! The last 2 in the truck, I might put them in a entryway or maybe a small bathroom ❤
Aren't they so unique? They're kind of waterlogged, so I'm going to let them dry out and see if they're too swampy to used indoors or not. I love that they are shallow from front to back-- perfect for tight spaces! 😍
That “rusty crusty” beadboard cabinet is just thing thing I would bring home as well!
The broken chair, I would cut the back from the seat and use the back as a trellis. If you have a potted plant big enough or even in a flower bed, but I love quirky garden decor. 🤷🏻♀️
I've never thought of that! Such a cute idea! The seat is falling apart so I guess that makes it easier to use, just stick the bottoms of the slats in the pot. 🤔
I'm kind of regretting leaving that workbench behind... 😢
I would not have been able to resist that beadboard cabinet for $8.99 adorable!
Somebody is going to get a deal (if they are at peace with peeling paint and mish-mash paint colors, as I am! 😄
Hi Marla, that yellow blouse looks so pretty on you. I love old pictures like that, that one was gorgeous. Your granddaughters are going to love those tops. That was a really nice thrift store. I live in Virginia, and our prices are getting ridiculous. You have a blessed day❤your fran Brenda🥰
prices are getting
Brenda, I had lunch with my girlies and they squealed at the cute little tops! 💗 You are too kind about my yellow blouse. It was thrifted for $3 and I love it! 🌞
I'm sad to hear about Virginia prices. Our prices (Oklahoma City) are ridiculous too and most of it is stuff that has come from Walmart or Biglots and priced higher than the original price.....who wants that? ha ha ha!
Goodness! I have 4 John G. Brown prints of different sizes in my living room because my husband loves them. Brown painted mostly children; often the subjects were street waifs. He also painted elders, and the High Museum of Art has two of those. Um . . . I feel an art field trip coming on.
I had to look him up! I've never come across his art before. I love it! It's exactly my style. I will be on the lookout for more of his work! 😃
The two benches you found at the dump would make beautiful legs to a table🩵
Oh MY, they surely would!! 😍 💕
I love that print. I wish l was close enough to go to that thrift store. The prices were great. Where l live in Virginia prices are very high.✌❤🙏
We have a lot of consistently GREAT thrift stores in my county! I'm so grateful to have it easily accessible to me! 😊
5:43 nice looking clock sitting on the floor 13:28 I would have loved that round mirror I just had to spend $60 on a mirror for over a bathroom sink & there’s one at your thrift store 😮
Isn't that how it goes?!? I have seen so many things in other people's thrift store videos that I would LOVE to have!! 😄
1000x 👍🕊🐑
You guys are so lucky to have so many thrift shop. Here in south Africa it's not really a thing. There is hardly any thrift shops.
I have thrifted all my life! I grew up going to a large flea market near my home at least once a month. It was a true flea market, not new cheap merchandise, but actual old and random household items. I raised 5 children on thrifted clothes and shoes! And decorated my house with vintage treasures 💕 😊
Wow South Africa! I can't even imagine what life is like there. What an adventurous life! I bet you have wonderful things there that we can't get here! Yes I would miss thrifting too.
I love your prices here in Knoxville hour prices are extremely high.
I do think my area has great prices! We are a rural county and our prices reflect it. Great finds here! 😃
What kind of cart are you pushing? Sometimes I take my little doggy stroller with me when I go to large flea markets.
Those carts belong to the thrift store (donated, most likely) and they are what I've seen in department stores. They're made with a child seat at the handle and a folding net for your items. Rolls really smoothly, very enjoyable to use.
Those scissors are tin snips.
Well that does make sense! They would cut metal for sure! ✂️
They are used to cut metal
I wouldn't have guess metal! But they sure are strong enough to do it! 😄
Please don't paint the duck. He's precious as is. Love you and your videos.
😄 no promises! I can never predict what I might do with a thrift find 😜
