  • As a hardcore Avatar nerd I have waited far too long to get into the books and comics. Today in this video we are continuing my run through and review of my first comic reading of Avatar The Last Airbender: The Promise. We will break down Part 2 of the comic and review it in detail. Enjoy!🍵
Avatar: The Last Airbender is set in a world where human civilization consists of four nations, named after the four classical elements: the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. The series is centered around the journey of twelve-year-old Aang, the current Avatar and last survivor of his nation, the Air Nomads, along with his friends Katara, Sokka, and later Toph, as they strive to end the Fire Nation's war against the other nations of the world.
The Promise comic takes place after the war between nations had ended and it follows Aang and his friends as they must join together once again as the four nations tenuous peace is threatened in an impasse between Fire Lord Zuko and Earth King Kuei! As the world heads toward another devastating war, Aang's friendship with Zuko throws him into the middle of the conflict.

Amidst the confusion of the times, the conflicts of conscience, and the turmoil of daily living, an abiding faith becomes an anchor to our lives.

I loved these comics growing up! I was so excited that there was a direct continuation of the TV show. Thanks for covering these! I want to go back and read them now haha.

It sucks that Mai had to break up her relationship with Zuko again. Undoing their happy ending. Mai should have at least been more understanding of why Zuko went to his father. Better yet, come clean with Mai.
