Yes, Austin nailed it. He gives himself completely here and also plays very well with the cameras. The great harmonies, deep bass and the unbelievably freaking good beatboxing/vocal percussion/vocal sounds finish it all off for me. I think it sounds perfect because of all the different beautiful voices. I grew up performing Percy Sledge which I already loved. Then came Michael Bolton's performance where I couldn't say it was better. But this one from Home Free certainly is.
Yes this was shot during Covid, there were several videos made during that time, they even put out a quarantine album. They bought equipment for each of their houses & filmed at home, two of them live in Tennessee, two live in Minnesota, & one lives in California. Then their amazing producer Darren Rust edited them & he did an amazing job. Austin was the only one actually in the studio, in fact Austin's beautiful lady Amberly was there with him, so every time he looked into the camera he was singing to her. 🍟❤️

If I'm not mistaken I believe this was recorded during Covid. They've done a few where they are in their own homes and sang the songs which were then mixed in the studio by their production staff.
ear buds are totally acceptable, as long as they are able to give you good bass. This blew Bolton's version out of the water. Even without the fantastic background vocals and Adam, Austin's voice outdid Bolton's by a mile. He even gave good old Percy a run for his money. to be able to control a belt like that is a sign of True mastery of his voice/body. A number of people don't care for the fade-out at the end. I like it, myself. To each his own -the beauty of music.

Whatever they do is top stuff

Drummers have often commented on just how realistic his sound is. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.
