- These are the top 10 hardest extreme demons in Geometry Dash as of 03/01/2023. NOTE the error in the date at the beginning. It is 2023, not 2022. Sorry.
CORRECTIONS: Cursed is indeed the first victor of sakupen circles. I forgot and missed it when checking pointercrate since his account is banned. Sorry for the mistake.
This is according to the Pointercrate demon list, which can be found here: pointercrate.com/demonlist/
It is community-led, and the most reliable source you can get (although it does not include unrated levels and challenges such as VSC and Stellar Night).

Attempt counts are taken from the channels of respective victors. They may not be 100% accurate, however they are the most reliable figures I could find. They do provide a good insight into how quickly levels are beaten. And how skilled some players are...

I think that the demonlist is actually improved, with a much more diverse range of levels. You go from Arcturus to Poocubed. You go from Kyouki to Slaughterhouse. You have limbo thrown in, and then you get to Firework. It's refreshing to see an "interesting" top 10 that better represents the community.
The fact that Slaughterhouse is at 4, Abyss of Darkness is at 6, Tartarus is at 28, Cold Sweat is at 52, Bloodlust is 83, Plasma Pulse Finale is at 117, Aquatic Auroras is at 135, Spacial Rend is at 148 and Cybernetic Cresent is out of the mainlist shows how difficult the game has become. These levels at points in history were considered either near the human limit or straight up impossible. And a side note, Bloodbath is at 490, and doesn't include extreme demons that would place between 150 and 490 that wouldn't be placed because it’s the legacy list. The reality is, the top of the list is realistically impossible unless you are Zoink, Trick, wPopoff, Light, Thnnder, Diamond, Doggie, Cursed or Denni.

honestly i think there's just more hard demons to beat that they push the old demons back. you don't see that big of a difficulty spike in each (with some exceptions) they're all just super super hard

The fact that arcturus is now number 10 and sakupen circles is now number 6 says a lot about the future of the demon list

Ironically, limbo is the only top 10 that most people who have only completed even hard demons can beat (in a few hundred thousand attempts, but still)

keep in mind that the verifier of kyouki was also THE CREATOR, making it by far the hardest completely solo level ever made. still very impressive plus the dedication needed for 500k attempts is insane
Zoink is also such a beast, he totally deserved best player this year.

@Kyro. ah yes, all of the red lvls in the top ten like kyouki, limbo, fw, acheron and poocubed. very red levels indeed
I hope so as well. My team has been making an extreme for almost 2 years, and we hope it's Limbo quality. Also, it's currently ILL difficulty, so it will likely be nerfed. (And it isn't entirely wave based for once in the demonlist)

Kyouki is probably the most mind-blowing top 10 right now. (idk how to name him) made the entire level and verified it all by himself. What a legend. Also the attempt count made my jaw drop to the floor like wow... 500k atts is insane! Massive congrats to this guy.

I take a break from the game for a few months, then I come back to see this video, and I saw that freakin arcturus was number 10 on the list, LIMBO on the list, and Firework at 7. Then I look at Pointercrate to see that Tartarus was at 14, Zodiac and Kenos out of the top 20 (which btw, I started playing this game when Zodiac was at the summit of the list at number 1), Crimson Planet and Calculator Core in the top 30, Bloodlust sitting near the top 50, then finally, Plasma Pulse Finale almost in the extended list. I was legit in shock. This game's skill ceiling is really climbing, and I look to see that levels like Misanthrope, Ton 618, Return 0, Orochi, and unnerfed silent clubstep to be verified in the future. This game is more exciting than ever before.

I think this list ties with the top 10 around when Kenos was placed. Back when stuff like cognition, revenant and crimson planet were extremely hard levels.
Get orochi, ton 618, eternal night, adramalech, unnerfed silent clubstep, Taron and you may could contend
@Exenity Sinister I mean the mix of levels being once impossible but finally verified, Kyouki being a random level that is an overall extremely balanced top 5, megacollabs finally getting verified after years of building, and the variety that we have within the top 10 in regards to gameplay, design, and pure difficulty makes the top 10 of current times absolutely legendary
Bro Silent Clubstep worsttt
In terms of viewing enjoyment, this is the best top 10 I’ve ever seen. Each level, with the possible exception of silent clubstep, has great decoration and the songs in some of these levels are perfection. Really happy to have Kyouki in the top 10, watching it never gets old.
But even with silent clubstep being not well decorated, it has the insane history and lore behind it that MORE than makes up for it. 100% agree with you that this top 10 is sick.

Silent Clubstep decoration here is like that because it is supposed to be a legacy demon so that's why that deco didn't really change.

@@exiled_shadegd Theres not a lot of information on return 0s difficulty but its not top 1 im pretty sure. Still really hyped for it
@@Plututo the problem with return 0 is that its very hard to judge the difficulty as the difficulty is very spread out across 17 minutes rather than it compressed into a few minutes. With the addition of it also being a memory level there will be many vastly different opinions on the difficulty of the level which will make it extremely hard to place

I started a top 10 project (that you can see in my channel) when tartarus was still in the top 10 and now the chances to have my level in the top 10 is just impossible. It's crazy that a lot of "Upcoming Top 1 demons" from 2020-2021 aren't top 5-10 anymore
Yeah and seeing sakupen circles out of the top 5(even tho idk much about it but it used to be impossible) is kind of nuts
The force of which slh is holding on to the top 3 spot for almost a whole year now shows how brutally difficult it actually is.
Or maybe some biased hacker verifies the level and wants to keep his throne and not blow his cover by verifying something like unnerfed silent clubstep calls 3 levels easier than slaughterhouse (SKC, Aod and Acheron originally)

#4 ARCTURUS because this is hard but short, harder than SONIC WAVE INFINITY because all ship parts in arcturus are "impossible" (extremely hard)
#3 TARTARUS because as you can see, there is hard memory timings and some "world's hardest jumps" in the level and the 2 fly ball parts are really hard
#2 SLAUGHTERHOUSE because this is a pretty "short" level and we can see what we do (not like in firework) and "impossible" wave part

Poocubed: The level that both of verifier and the first victor didn't given/tell an attempts,
Slaughterhouse: The level that the first victor took more attempts than the verifier
Limbo, Kyouki & Arcturus: The verifier took an hundred thousand attempts and very long time, but the first victor only took 10K attempts (and it only took around 2/3 weeks to beat it)
Man.. I just thought of searching the extreme demons up cause I was feeling reminiscent of GD while listening to Creo's Sphere. I DID NOT expect Zodiac(Even Tartarus, since I knew about that despite quitting prior to it becoming the new #1) to fall out of top 10.. it's.. Honestly.. it's scary..

Slaughterhouse will always be my favourite,from the OG slaughterhouse being an impossible level to becoming this level that resembles hell better than everything......it just is amazing
Based on the opinions of many top players, the entire top 6 is so close together in terms of difficulty, which is why we really need a definitively-harder-than-the-rest top 1
True, I remember when silent clubstep get verified, they ask 6-8 top player which place it should have and answer goes from top5 to top1
Yeah it’s more about skillset at this point. While people can probably agree that SKP circles and Slaughterhouse are harder than Arcturus it gets really blurry when you get into different skillets like with Firework, Silent Clubstep, Acheron etc.

I still dont understand why people dislike AoD so much. It captures the atmosphere perfectly, the sync is incredibly satisfying, and even though It's not top one, I find it to be a very formidable level.

5 years ago we don't know we have couple of the hardest demons in game. For example silent clubstep was just impossible for players.
I remember when people thought Arcturus could be harder then slaughterhouse and now it’s barely top 10

from what ive seen, silent clubstep stands at #3 on the demons list as of 7/3/2023, but that is what i saw, it could be inacurate.
The first time I saw the level Kyouki they were still building the level but I loved that leved, I wanted that level to be finished so I could play it, and that time has finally come.
This list is so much better thanks to, limbo, poocubed and kyouki

It looks the same but it's a nerfed version and the unnerfed version is leagues above the nerfed version

I love how the verifiers spent 100k+ attempts on levels and then zoink or someone else comes along and beats them in 20,000 attempts
