We were lucky that we could both get covid vaccinations because Alice was counted as vulnerable and as her carer I was eligible and then dave could have it due to his heart condition. Schools seem to be very concentrated in attendance. At the parents information meeting they kept on about it. Saying not to have appointments in school time and how they never approve any days off etc etc They even have attendance pencils kids can win if they have full attendance!!! Madness That little dog tent/bed is so cute, lucky doggies! They even are that bad about attendance for someone Alices age? That's ridiculous! They made a big deal about kids with 100% attendance (which Isaac only had 1 year out of the 7 he was there). I mean how many kids can go an entire year and NEVER be ill? In Isaacs school now, they are super strict about time off. All appointments must be made outside of school. The issue is that the orthodontist doesn't offer appointments outside of school times. I even copied the letter and highlighted the section and attached it to the request for time out for his appointment. Its SO hard to catch up though now he's in high school when time is missed off school. Theres so many subjects and so much work covered. You want to see our garden now! Its a complete mess! I need to get out and weed it for winter. Its such a mess. I just Darren looked at stuff and thought "That needs doing" and did it, but no such luck. I'm convinced most men have different eyes to women, lol! x

Our school send out weekly newsletters which have weekly attendance percentages in for all classes then a child from each class wins attendance of the week pencils. If they’ve had people off they’re always sending reminders not to have time off but surely if a kid is ill they’re ill???? xxx
Hi Lisa, it grinds my gears how strict schools can be regarding students having just a single day off when they are willing to go on strike and have teacher training days…..it should be down to individual cases, if they see your child has good attendance and grades then allowances should be given……and in an unrelated topic..bring back the Greencross Code for pedestrians, teaching them to cross only when it’s safe 🤬 wow 10 lbs loss in weight is incredibly good Lisa👏 talking of cheese…..there a cheese on the market (my daughter was showing me pictures) and it has live maggots inside but apparently they live on the cheese itself so when you eat them, they taste cheesy 🤮 no thanks….813 calories in a muffin and coffee 😮 don’t tell me that 🤣 nice joke from Darren 😁 take care guys👍😃👍
