Scott is a beast in the tesla community. he has to get the BEAST mode grey interior. If he's economics allow it.
I was offered foundation series CT via email form tesla about a week ago. I put in my reservation about two weeks after the CT unveil back in 2019. I will not be converting on the foundation series; not ready to drop an additional $27.5k on the CT. Will wait for the AWD that qualifies for the tax credit

Me too, I received my invitation on March 1 and I could still order it today if I want to so I don’t know how long it takes before they “bump you off the list”
I think you should get the all-wheel drive with the range extending battery in the back. It could give you some unique content. And if not a lot of people check that box they're just never going to build that battery... cost the same has the beast but have significantly more range.
I ordered the Foundation CT last December, and got my delivery notice April 30th, about three and a half hours after ordering a Model X. I canceled the CT, and took delivery of the X, which I do really like. FYI, Tesla had confirmed Powershare was available, and the estimate I got from a Tesla approved installer was $5,500 for the 30' line to my driveway. The Tesla wall-charger installation is $1500 to the same location.
My vote for the all wheel drive, all terrain tires, black interiors then order the light bar from Tesla after you take delivery. Good luck
2 wheel, onroad tires. I think the passthrough wasn't done because the tantu is stored where the passthru would be. Still a window passthru would be awesome. I have one on order, but I can't see doing a Foundation series personally. Yes, the cyberlander would be awesome.
I just got some Powerwall 2 and fund that even with just a Tesla mobile charger I can 'charge off solar' to my model Y. I got 3rd party solar, but it just works! Great!

To get heating and cooling into the bed for camping, why not change out the back window for one with a passthrough? That should cause no major problems for the tonneau cover.
I bet it will not be long before an aftermarket removable rear window. Top gear tested sleeping and got cold at night, but he said that an electric blanket could be plugged in the rear.
My reservation # 350K ish (12/03/2019).
The current pricing has me thinking maybe a DM Cybertruck for $70K (or less) in 2-3 years. Might even go used ... I have a Model Y (leased) which was my original Cybertruck placeholder vehicle that I'm returning in June. Being tall, I decided to buy a used Model X and got a 2018 100D with 49K miles, 1 year warranty, virtually all options including FSD for $42K. That vehicle sold new for $150K and more than meets my current needs👍👍. The non-Foundation Cybertruck's probably won't see that extreme level of depreciation but if you factor in Foundation pricing maybe it will come close.
All that said, if you can afford it, get the DM as it's all anyone needs.

My reservation was sub 30,000 in line. It is a low "RN112" reservation numbe. Unfortunately I'm in southern British Columbia Canada so I'm probably still a year away...

I received my email on March 1 saying my reservation was ready to order… I can still order it… Reservation has not been rescinded… Guys at the local delivery center told me until I get an email from Tesla telling me otherwise, I can order it
I saw my first 3 CTs on I-295 in Jax the other day in a car carrier. Maybe one was Scott’s.
I opted for the Cyber Beast since it gets more free stuff + $4000 credit for power share install. Plus for me a later delivery is better for federal income tax purposes.
That is strange he got it so early. I was around 68000 and I got it right when I expected based on what youtubers were saying about there reservation spot and when they got the email. It seemed like Tesla was just going down the reservation list in groups. Probably a few thousand emails a week or a bit more. They must be doing something else as well to move some people forward.
I got my Cybertruck delivered March 27th.
I'm 1.3 million . I expect sometime in the next 5 years!
The Beast
I reserved 2 on day 1..passed on both because of the lack of range..$ wasn’t an issue..once it gets a minimum of 400 miles “Without” the extender..I’ll sell my Y Performance and get the CT..fyi..love the tactical gray, do not like the white..
Same thing with us. Got the email yesterday. My partner who has all the funds is not cool with the Founders Edition costs but I say we’re not getting younger. Plus it could be 2 years before we get a non-Founders version.
I am ready to make a sacrifice if need be. it’s not that the money isn’t available but the price tag.
But we want the extras you get with Founders! So the price will be similar for a vehicle + accessories in two years.
The logic seems sound even though the value of the included FSD has fallen. The hardware for home backup and accessories are good in a package deal.
I could use some help convincing my partner of 35 years to just buy it.

DO NOT get a Cybertruck right now - we put in our order a few years ago and probably won't get our email for another 2 or 3 years - but the key advantage is that by then, there are 3 facts that are very likely to be true at that point: 1) Various kinks in the early Cybertrucks will have been fixed, so it'll be a lot more solid and less-prone to having issues; 2) The price will have almost certainly dropped down - it could even be closer to the price you were quoted originally; 3) FSD will be available to you from day one - and it'll be true FSD, ready to join the robotaxi service (if you want to do that - and make some extra $$$ each month, etc.) ... so be smart - and patient - and you'll get a truly fantastic product at an even better price!! Just my 2 cents ... good luck, Scott!

Do not purchase an over-priced cybertruck because you'll wish you didn't have this piece of junk when the repair bills start coming in. Learn about stress concentration and crack growth near sharp edges and corners, which is why you never, never see sharp edges and corners on vehicle chassis until cybertruck.
"Tesla Cybertruck uses steer-by-wire with almost no redundancy. Electric power steering was bad enough to cause crashes, this is just ambulance chaser's dream. There is zero chance of me trusting that, not that the Cybertruck will ever be allowed on European roads."

Why should I care if the Cybertruck can be sold in Europe?
You sound Bitter, is it because you will soon be Required to own a rainbow prayer mat to drive in London, or simply that you’re cancelled in your own country and will never be able to afford one anyway Roger.
