Hulk is a member of Fantastic Four. In 1992 Hulk, Wolverine, Spiderman and Ghost Rider replaced the original members.

I had a friend whose favourite "nerd-test" question was "name 10 members of the Fantastic 4". He himself knew thirteen, and there may have been more. None of the people that tried to correct Conan has read actual Fantastic 4 comics in their life.

@@TheWorldsStage I had to go check to see if Conan had actually written that joke initially. Sadly, he hadn't - it was written by Mike Scully. If Conan had written it, though, that truly would have been the Internet circle of life right there.

The most ironic thing for once is that the complaint was pointless, since even thought the news concerned the FF, Conan generalized it by talking about a generic Marvel hero, which is an acceltable assumption, like "oh if they give smartphones to the Fantastic Four, what are they gonna do to the Hulk?"
BUT despite this he responded with THREE different explainations: the usual "oh I'm not wrong" using fake footage, an actual explaination to how he was actually unironically right, and saying how he made a mistake on purpose as a trap.
Basically he gave three different explainations while there really wasn't the need for one.
First Hulk was apart of the Fantastic Four. But the issue he used as reference could be viewed at as "not Hulk." Yes "Hulk" was Gray, but due to printing issues became green. It was later revealed, as a clever marketing and creater route, to separate the "Gray Hulk" known now as Joe Fixit, And the "Green Hulk" known as the Savage Hulk. And the characters became more defined. This is due to Banner have personally dissociation disorder, and having multiple personalities, and more than just him and "Hulk." Is reality Banner has a "Hulk if you will" for each emotion that he has, but each of them have trouble taking hold because the Savage Hulk dominates the rest. There is the Gravage Hulk, Guilt Hulk, and Devil Hulk. Tho the Gravage Hulk is brought on by merging the Gray Hulk and Savage Hulk. So do we take into account that Gray Hulk in the beginning was not "Hulk" Hulk. Because it seems that the more time the personalities spend in control the more defined they become, and in the beginning they all claim to be Hulk. But only the Savage Hulk has keep that claim, and refuses to be defined as anything but quoting, "Hulk is Hulk" ~Hulk. Ok Super Nerd class is over. Tomorrow we will be discussing the incarnations of Ghost Rider.

That thing about Hulk being a member of everything can actually be seen as a clever parody of how in Marvel basically every hero has been in every group at one point.
The hulk was a member of the fantastic four. He is not an active member but for a time when the og team went off to look for sue storm in an alternate dimension, hulk, ghost rider, wolverine, and spider-man acted as the fantastic four

people claim grey hulk isn't the hulk.... -_-grey hulk IS the hulk, and is one of bruce banner's alternate hulk transformation (yes, he isn't just green), in fact, the first issue of hulk featured a grey hulk instead of a green one (I believe they reasoned out that they ran out of ink or something)
Grey hulk was suppose to break stereotype boundaries so they made him grey in first issue. Then issue 2 he was made Green.
Arachnophobik Green also had many shades that was used in prints so later they changed it

There have been a lot of different members of the Fantastic Four over the years. I know the Hulk and Spiderman have both been in it at one stage.

I have a feeling Jordan or some other staff that have already been featured on the show (Like Aaron, Piere Bernard, etc.) knew this fact and helped bail Conan out.
And he actually was a member of the Fantastic Four in his grey form {"Mr. Fixit" persona}.

This fan correctors are non Marvel comic book readers, Hulk had a stint as a member of the Fantastic Four, in that cover with Ghost Rider, Spiderman & Wolverine! Gotcha

While the Hulk was actually a member of the FF, Conan also never specifically says that the Hulk was on the team in his monologue--just that he would rip open his shirt and send angry texts.

Hulk was part of a team in a line of comics called the new fantastic four which consisted of hulk, spider-man, ghost rider and wolverine. Although hulk isn't part of the original fantastic four he is part of a fantastic four.
I’m an average marvel fan (meaning my knowledge of marvel goes beyond the movies, but I only know so much about the comics) and I knew that the hulk joined at one point

lol yeah... i was gonna say the FF4 had a lot of interchangable members for one reason or another. But that cover was when Spidermand, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, and Hulk were convinced to be a "New" Fantastic Four for a short while. Technically that means he was in "a" Fantastic Four. so Conan wasnt wrong.
that marvel cover is hulk from earth 616. something to add he never said which hulk really he said the hulk. the original hulk used to be grey but turned green for the cause of "it looked better". so on this case Conan is rite and not left.
