I can see it now: four players crammed in a tiny hell, picking off 299 goombas over the course of many minutes. They wonder where the last one is. Had they missed one, or broken the level? Is it somehow unbeatable? When finally... arrived from the heavens themselves.....

The entire video is a masterpiece in all the worst possible ways but that added "short and sweet" tag really is the best fucking way to cap off a testament to human patience like this

I had a dream about this level once. In the dream there was a pick a path section at the end of it, forcing you to replay the cutscene over and over again. One day I will create such a level and simpleflips will tell everyone why it’s uncleared.
Set it to have a really tight timer, and make it rng based, so that 1 random Goomba bouncing too early can make you time out before you get to the pick a path. Finally, end the level by making a drop on the flag with a 2 block wide gap and have a potobou drop on the side with the flagpole, killing anyone who thinks it's finally over.

Simple, i try not to get attached to celebrities or strangers on the internet, but your content means a lot to me. In 2018 i sat up all night before leaving home to go to college bingeing green demon, watching your videos when I'm stressed or anxious, watching you play Mario maker the night before i set out to leave on this really scary research trip off the grid, and I'm just grateful to have something so entertaining and comforting to watch all these years later. Im so grateful to "I've got a better idea" for bringing your channel to my attention.

I really wanted this level to go full devious and require one (1) jump after the keybox before the flag as an AFK check that if the player missed they died and restarted the level, but Simple was feeling generous that day I guess

I am so fucking excited that this might make it into easy
Before I realized the timer maxes out at 500, I had an idea to build a nightmarish test of vigilance and patience. It was going to involve platforms revolving on tracks, while the player had to jump and dodge deadly things. All while they had to wait for some ridiculously long cascading timer to finish.
What I'm saying is that I was fully prepared to put myself through an hour-long test of platforming patience just for giggles, so I guess Simple's not the only one who woke up and chose evil.
"Short and sweet" is the ultimate final spit in the eye to the player stuck playing that in Endless lmao
what if he did exactly this but keeping the hidden keyblock and make it so it's very easy to accidentally hit it and consecuently if you hit it early you have to start from the beginning and you also had to work to grab the star and if you lost the goomba hat you had to beat the level again with like a thwomp 1 block above the floor

I would have loved if the final goomba got dropped into the goomba labyrinth, so you have to wait an extra like 30 seconds after all the other goombas are dead before you get to finish.
Simple's ethics have to be one of his most admirable traits. From doing something completely menial for 3 hours cause one person said "you make it then", to his outlook on what could've been a very sad experience even with the outcome that came about. Just amazes me, what a legend!
