Not Pac Man World 2, I'm talking about Pac Man 2: The New Adventures for the SNES.
You know, the one that's kind of like a point and click adventure but all your inputs are literally just a suggestion and Pac Man MIGHT listen to them depending on his mood, and you have to keep manipulating his mood to get what you want out of him.
I played the shit out of it as a kid so watching people lose their shit and panic trying to figure out what to do is some kind of sadistic pleasure of mine.

It makes sense that someone eventually requested Pac Baby to play in the background.
It has really good platforming, and for a brief moment you feel like you're playing a successor to Pac Man World 2.
And then you get into another fucking arena and... You're playing another shitty game from the 2000s. What a fucking slooooog.
It's sad when the sound effect spam on the title screen is the most fun you can have with this game.

The actual story behing the mech segment is Orson, the ghost that controlled Toc Man and the one that Pacman ate at the end of Pac Man World One reconstructed Toc Man so Pacman could use it because they're allies now.

The tone, artistic style, and gameplay of Pac-Man World 3 is indeed very different from World 2. It's so different that it throws you off and it's a big reason why many World 2 fans aren't a fan of World 3.

the story is basically the spectral realm (place where the ghosts come from) is getting fucked and erwin is trying to merge both the spectral realm and pacland essentially fucking everything up for everybody, both pac people and ghosts lmfao

As a kid playing this game i was super dissapointed compared to Pacman World 2.
I played the ds version of this game and it felt like the fever dream of a lifetime, not only did the game not teach me how to bounce higher or wall jump, I always got stuck at the first level. After I grew up a bit, I revisited and realized I couldn't read or something and finally got past level 1, I don't remember mecha pacman in the ds version tho...
