Last 6 years I have been watching your videos and not only I enjoyed and get addicted but change my life. You have a friend in Greece you don't know about it, I realy hope you read that comment, your brother Thomas 😊
I like the belt connection and the bandsaw kerf to cut out the center hole was perfect. Little solder or jb weld and the split no longer mattered. A casting foundry is on my list! Great job 🖤™️
Bravo! Fabulous how you amalgamate 21st century technology into the age old art of metal casting & make such iconic, practical & lust after accessories for males & females. Thanks for sharing!
Words escape me so I'll just say "Jimmy Diresta the real deal" I've been watching Chippy absolutely incredible. Flippin awesome man! Regards Gareth Wiltshire UK.
I remember the first Diresta video I ever saw was the Skull Belt Buckle - totally blew me away! ...I think the skull on the 3D Printer is a "hat tip" to that video.
Even though there is no music and simply sounds like chipmunks on 5 cans of redbull you are still very inspiring. You always keep us on our channel curious to see what you got next. Nice work on the buckle. Check out soundcloud when you get a chance.
Rather than soldering or using jb weld, could you not have added a couple of small extrusions to the back of the casting that you could hammer down like rivets instead? Or even just used what was already left over from the casting process?
if you take 2x4 wrap 3 or 4 newspapers around it tie end with wire soak in bucket of water , as soon as you pour grab 2x4 and hold tight over top of casting steam will force metal deeper into casting
I going to assume you needed new belt buckles for your new belts for your new 501 jeans as your diet plan with Giaco has gone so well. Very pleased for and get video 👍. Have you seen what Alec Steele has been up to? Seems fairly similar
looks greate. I am planning to something similar, but in my forge, I will only be able to melt aluminum and no brass. Now I am sad because I think your brass buckle loogs much better. Thanks for showing Greetings from Germany Sascha
What do you think about this Concept: ruclips.net/video/GNNxzaGu_t0/видео.html The Concept is to use a gas-sealed box, and lay down metal in an Inert-Gas environment using Tungsten Electrodes, and wire-fed metals, with a CNC controlled Electrode Head, and likewise remove metal via CNC controlled Milling Head. Basically, 3D Printing of Metal using TIG, combined with alternating machine passes, (via the same machine), to clean up each weld-pass as needed. A hybrid Additive and Subtractive machining process. Among other features, it would allow localized metal alloying by changing the feed stock, (metal wire), during the additive process.
Would a vacuum tool, i.e. mini plunger, glass lifter, be better to remove the mold from the sand because it has uniform contact, rather than prying it out at one point and possibly causing indents ? PS - live rounds would have been more exciting in the kiln!
Jimmy, are you tracking the icepick that is going around the world? I think it would be interesting to see how many miles it travels, as well as who uses it. So far I've been lucky to see a few videos where the makers received it. Okay, so I was a little behind on the learning curve here. I did catch up on "DIRESTAOFUS". Someone could have told me to search direstaofus, would have been cool. But I learned anyway.
Hey D😎 I really like the way you think. I asking if you did a video on your there forge that your using? It is really nice one. If so, where can I find the making if the forge? I like to build one like that one? Hit me back up, please? Sir.Tony Blair
Nice buckle Mr D. If I may, try drilling a couple of holes into the back of the pattern so you can screw a couple of self tapping screws into it. They'll give you a good place to lift out the pattern after you've rapped it without blowing out the edges. Hope that makes sense? Check out a RUclipsr called Myfordboy his casting video's are excellent
You are a jack of all trades.I have been watching you for the past two years.Wish you good luck...From an Indian admirer
A man as talented as JD having up/down direction arrows on his bed make me feel way less dumb

Them brass ones look sharp with a nice belt! Nice, simple and it works. what more could a person need!
Great looking buckle. I love how you have a natural cooling system right outside your door.
Bravo! Fabulous how you amalgamate 21st century technology into the age old art of metal casting & make such iconic, practical & lust after accessories for males & females. Thanks for sharing!
I think Jimmy is good at everything! He's the most talented craftsman on RUclips
You're unstoppable Jimmy! Really an inspiration to the maker community. Thanks for everything you do.
Its great how you don't seem hesitant to incorporate new tech into your work. Keep it up brother!
The year of 3D printing! Love the project.

Dude!! Those came out sick!! Expect to see them next week!
Awesome Jimmy! Excellent use for snow too lol! - Jim
Fun, creative and multiple techniques! Who wouldn't like that? Thanks Jimmy!
Looks like you enjoying to play with your new forge . Good job Jimmy !
Great work - a nice blend of new and old technologies!
Good recycling of the casings 👍
Diresta I love your creations I’ve been watching you make stuff for a good 3ish years me and my dad just like the style of videos you make keep it up
So damn cool to watch you incorporate all the things you are learning. Very inspirational.
Very cool! I mean hot! Cooling it in the snow was such a great idea. I love that you use whatever is around you to get what you need done.
Casting! Nice work Jimmy. The wax really made the difference in finish!
the master craftsman back again. Love every bit of your work.
it looks so cool with all the colors like its been tempered, i wonder if theres a way to get the color to stay
Loved the use of both the tiny razor blade and that awesome Diresta razor blade lol 😀 enjoyed the video God bless
great usage of the brass shells
Huzzah! Awesome to see updates right when I'm holding the phone!
It's like....you sensed me 😎
Awesome use of the snow btw...take THAT winter!
You are my heroes 😉... hello from italian fans...
This is something I have on the list to try! 👍🏼 they turned out great Bro! Nice job!
Very nice buckle, interesting you used shell casing for the brass, never would of thought of that.
Great video, great Mob!
I enjoyed this Jimmy!!!
Thanks for the video jimmy.
Thank you for sharing. That is an awesome buckle 👍👍
Wow, that's one hell of a buckle.
If I had the money I would buy straight up.
Nice work (as always) 👌🏽👍🏽
Very beautiful project! good things to see! especially to use materials from recycling!
Amazing job, man! Really fantastic! 😃
Great job Jimmy
Hey good Job, I love these Casting Projects.
I also do some metall casting but mostly with Aluminium.
Old good Diresta!👌
Buckle in for another great video😁
This is awsome! It is recycling on a high level! very beautiful!
Would've been interesting to see if the hook and loop could've been cast into the buckle.
Very nice as usual.
Thanks,
John
Did I miss the announcement of you getting a 3d printer. Awesome to see you using one. Love mine. Now you can make some crazy cool stuff.
For your 1st time these came out great!!!!!

Well done, sir!
Maybe I’ll start wearing a belt buckle again....only if I make one tho! That devil forge is super badass, nice work Jimmy
I love that he made it out of used cartridge brass... I HAVE to do that. What a way to add special meaning to an already special piece.
Jimmy, you're stressing me out with all those unread emails! Anyways, a really cool process! 👊🏻
Would it not be easier to remove the template from the mold if the back was taped to plywood that is larger than the mold box?
Hi Jimmy !Nice work man !I love it !😎👍👍👍
Love the hands in hips at the end!
Classic Diresta.
@Jimmydiresta do you make custom belts and buckles ?
LOOKIN GOOD JIMMY!! That weight loss journey has certainly paid off so far
Rather than soldering or using jb weld, could you not have added a couple of small extrusions to the back of the casting that you could hammer down like rivets instead? Or even just used what was already left over from the casting process?
Can the molding sand be reused after a pour to make another mold?

Have you tried pewter casting? My vlog 7 may give you some ideas. Love the channel. 🙂
Outstanding! Thanks for sharing - Cheers, Jimmy
I have several storage totes full of unsorted brass cases. Now I know what I should do with all that brass.
Noob Question : Could you lift it from the sand with a sucker ?
Super glue a lifting tab or knob would work easier.
STEALTH Damn it STEALTH now you made me hungry
The conventional way is to have tap holes in the back side of the mold to screw lifting handles into.
@@vinercent215 I was thinking about the problem and was just going to suggest that as a possibility. Good to know I was on the right track.
you're just a maker 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Really awsome project
It's good to see someone else do 2d design work imported into fusion 360 instead of wasting time trying to make it in fusion 360

دائما مبدع diresta 👍👍👍
Everytime I see the giant razor blade I chuckle.
Nicely done, reminds me a lot of Black Beard Projects casting videos. Any inspiration taken from him?
Why not use both of the casting sprues on the back as the attachment points for the belt.
Inspired.
Again.
Thank you.
Good job 👑
I love the buckle. Why not leave the sprue on one side and grind into a hook for the buckle instead of soldering one on?
WOW old DiResta
Nice Rolex! Lol working in the shop with a $15,000 watch on...goals
Ahhhh the, just the front of the shirt tucked in, taking me back to 2004 😝

Next I have to introduce you to metal infused 3D printing filament ;)
Hello jimmy your Buckle it’s really similar to my logo 😉 excellent job i like what you are doing
that is maker mob logo
Mohd Mahadir Sulaiman yes surely, it’s only similar not exactly the same and I am a French RUclipsr so doesn’t matter
Wow impressive!

@@jimmydiresta wow,😎 that's sound good to have good friends! Im look them up. Thanks. Keep up the great work that your doing😎.

are you using borax to clean the molten brass before you pour?
True
You should glue a little magnet on the back of the blank to take it out of the sand easier :D
Awesome video, beautifully done

Can you use more 3d print in other projects ?
Excellent how much it cost? Can u sale something like that and send it?
