I have same cluster for e60. Some minor things like all ECUs have the wrong milage and battery registration would also be messed up. All ECUs have now 100 miles and the DME has milage of OEM cluster and it won't move until you get old cluster in. Still great cluster :)
Yeah I noticed that. I use a Carly OBD2 so I saw the mileage error. It took me 5 times to register the new battery but the app finally said it was successful. I hope it was. So far I've had no issues with the battery but it's only been a month or so it's too early to know. I need to check the battery and make sure it is registering. What did you have to do to get the battery to register?
@@RDsRCReviewsThanks for the feedback. I use INPA and Ista/Rheingold with a notebook. But I registered my battery 3 weeks before I got the cluster. My 525i is 20 years old and most likely with me until it dies one of the other way. Not perfect with the ECUs, but with car being so old, I guess not too big of an issue. Still looks great :)
@@myfrankfurt I'm running a 24hr diagnostic on the new battery but I think it finally registered. At least the app said it did. How do you know the display is the culprit with the battery registration? Worst case I could unplug the digital display cluster and plug in the factory one but that's a bit of a hassle.
hello friend. You didn't have any problems with the digital watch.. I bought one and the next day it broke, the LCD didn't turn on. Please, if you can give me a reply. Thank you
@@dumitruaruncutean4651 no I've had no problems with it working though if you look at the comments you'll see that it does have issues with inaccurate gas levels and sometimes it causes the cruise control to stop working.
Hey 😊 Have you managed to solve the fuel tank value issue? And is it only problem in the value displayed or also the graphical bar? I bought new one and seems getting same problem :( Thanks
@@Mohamed-qo2em nope and I was just talking to the vendor and they have no solutions. It's frustrating. Also there's other things you'll notice it'll cause. You'll randomly lose cruise control and you'll get random check engine lights that will prevent the cruise from working until you clear the light.
@@RDsRCReviews Thanks for your quick feedback. You cleared the lights with OBD, correct? another point, If I put my orginal cluster back, will it display the new KM or the old one 🤔?
@@RDsRCReviews Hi again 😊 I have one question: Sometimes the cluster flickers (mainly backlights) when starting the engine in the morning and I hear also sound coming out, I noticed this happened when it was cold, and engine was trying to start after multiple cranks. Have you noticed something similar?
Honestly I'm not sure. I've never paid attention to that. Did you look at the end if the video when I'm driving it to see if it's visible? There's different layouts you can select and some show options that other ones don't
yes the light went away after I started it back up. I also can clear the light using my Carly OBS2 module. I didn't get the tire pressure to work but I can access that from the iDrive menu.
Hello, i have the same device on same car, i dont have bmw logo at startup and M badge next to speedometer, only 3 lines and i dont have a car picture in the middle, can it be fixed with update
Did you buy it from the same vendor? It is possible that yours is using an older firmware or a different firmware from a different seller. You can change a lot of the looks within the menu. Make sure you check the hidden menus that you can access with the code that should have been provided by the seller.
@stgmatuning yes though there's two codes for different settings and I can't remember which one it is. Be aware that this display will cause issues with the fuel levels all over the place and not always accurate and the cruise control will randomly stop working and it is very difficult to register a new battery. I'm thinking about putting the OEM cluster back in because there's no update available to fix these issues.
Yes! I was just looking at that yesterday. It definitely shows the oil temp. I'm not sure it shows the engine temp. I'm actually in my Kia right now so I'm unable to check.
Yes it's still installed but there are some problems that myself and others have reported that have not been fixed by the manufacturer. The most noticeable is the fuel gauge moves around a lot and isn't terribly accurate. Also it can cause an occasional check engine light to trip. It also causes the cruise control to randomly stop working and when you want to install a new battery you'll have a lot of problems getting the new battery registered. I still love the look of it which is why I have kept it installed and for the most part these problems are not a huge deal to me but if I knew these issues before buying it I would have passed for the amount it costs.
Hi Ryan, so with the fuel gauge does it give a true reading of how much fuel is in the tank? I just installed mine and drove to work this morning and it keeps giving me varying amounts and this changes when I accelerate or if i am in traffic…. Do you know if there is a setting for this? Thanks Ray
Yep mine does the same thing at times and I don't know why. I have talked to the company and they say it simply uses the data from the computer but I agree that something is up with that. Usually if is fine but it will vary considerably at times. I'm going to message them and tell them that I'm not the only one reporting this issue.
It is really odd, i did try and go through the menus and nothing seemed to change it, i have changed a setting In refuelling and disabled it and when i go to work tomorrow i will fill it right up.. i will let you know if that does anything. Thanks for your prompt reply 😊
@@rayhurley1335 is that menu within the hidden menus that require a code? I don't recall seeing that one. I sent Emily at Carmall Life a message I'm sure she will reply. Yes please let me know if you are any improvement by changing that setting
