The garde farming bees during zap fight...wow...you hate to see it.
It was one of those games where I would of had to put my controller down from witnessing garde who could of easily secured zap. Just taking bees casually.

It's moments like that that make me wish we had a chat feature, but also that make me realize why we don't because I would NOT be able to be as nice as Jake is lmao
I think it should be fine to add Pokémon that have one or more bad builds and only play their bad builds. If you’re looking for variety, that seems like a good way to add it while keeping in line with the theme of this season’s rank climb.

I totally think you can get away with adding Zeraora to this series. He's honestly really bad right now between his awful level scaling and being able to get CC-d out of his Wild Charge, especially with Ninetales coming back
The fact he has to wait a whole ass nother level for this unite is the sole reason why Jake should put zeraora in this
This challenge could end by getting to master or not making it to master in time for the next balance patch where everything is balanced and jake doesnt have any pokemon to play with.

I think you can make the case for adding Zeraora in the wheel. It has fallen off from the best speedsters.

Honestly I love Garchomp and maybe he's not that bad but he seems really hard to do well with or carry in solo cue... So I'd vote to ad him plus it would be really fun to watch.

Doesn’t scale well, can’t hardly carry a team and would be really tough with low tier items. The balance patches have made it even more obvious (for me anyway).

Been carrying pretty hard with Decidueye
Add Sylveon to the wheel. He does less steady damage than any other attacker and suffers from facing enemies with superior range, doesn't scale proper into the late game and it's not solid enough of a laner attacker compared to other options

man im gonna miss decidueye in this series, but i get why he was removed.
11:10 Gardevoir off lane scoring during the most important point of the match when you had almost flipped the game is so frustrating to see
And of course it gives them MVP and they think they did amazing 😩

Entertaining video as always! I think adding Zeraora to replace Gengar would be warranted. I like the idea of adding off-meta builds for certain Pokemon in this challenge, like Outrage/Extreme Speed Dragonite, Shadow Claw/Iron Head Aegislash, and Draining Kiss/Mystical Fire Sylveon.
Also, this may be a controversial take, but I support your decision not to drink tea from a wooden jug. Tea is meant to be consumed from a cup or mug, and I'll duel anyone who feels otherwise.
Those were some tough matches oof. I think adding both decidueye (non-spirit shackle) and gengar would be fun & add more variety! You’re already sticking to lower tier pokemon & items :)
Removing deci and Gengar was definetly the right call imo as they both feel better than "low-tier" right now. I do think adding "bad" builds only could work though!

It’s good to see the struggles for you also sometimes. Watching you make it seem you are master after 20 matches. (New road to masters challenge? Get to masters in the least amount of games possible and challenge everyone else to do it too?) keep up the grind. Can’t wait for the next!

This season has been the hardest for me and my matches. Watching this series gives me hope that I can at least get out of Veteran and then hopefully get to Masters before Season ends.
Ooo a recent build I have been trying with Machamp is Razor Claw, Muscle Band, and Focus Band. With the games I played so far, including ranked, it's a nuke once it obtains one of the two moves I use. Dynamic Punch, the other move I use is Close Combat

Zeraora should def be in this wheel because you’re using poop items. Like he’s respectable in the jungle with meta items but considering you’d be using like assault vest or Rocky helmet with him? Yeah he should be in this series lol.
You were BRAWLING with snorlax in the center at zap the first match. Such a sad game but what a great effort there

Drinking tea from a cup? This is just absurd. I thought I had seen the worst when I once saw a seagull drinking Pepsi out of a flip flop at the beach. What’s next, juice from a mug? Milk from a flask?
I think a fine and final buff for flail would be to raise the basic attack speed during its use. There's time during the begining and ending of the moves where you cant attack during certain animations,meaning that some hits can get cancelled halfway from being thrown out because his attack speed isnt really much faster,if not faster at all during flail.
Although if I'm misinformed,im not opposed to being educated. Lol

I'm british, from the U.k. and tea out of a mug or a cup is normal, literally anything else is wrong, a flask would be acceptable.

That first match was like at least half of the ones I’ve had the past few days - doing a new account to masters - taken me 3 and a half days to get to Ultra 1 and vet 5 was just the worse. Unlike you, I’ve been using Pika and Greedent mostly, so I’ve a distinct advantage. Lol

Man, those games were probably the most relatable games I’ve seen in my life. Two people fighting over jungle, people running off to score when Zapdos pops out, zero coordination for Drednaw… That is solo que in a nutshell. And the very rare occasion you’re paired up with actual team players who stick with you the whole game. It is…an experience.
Thats why I always grind my rank hard at the beginning of the season. At least I'm starting from the same rank as all the top players, so no funny business with a lot of unskilled/unexperienced players
Things like that zeraora is the reason I stopped playing ranked. Somehow that zera has climbed up to this point doing things like that

Just want to point out, you didn't brawl enough with Snorlax. Don't be afraid to get in the enemies faces and Flail them. You could've had 3 maybe 4 KO's at the Zapdos fight. Attackers and speedsters are the easiest targets. Yes Duraludon's damage output is high but don't forget he's squishy as well. Talonflame too. Plus, Flail Yawn pleasee.
P.S it is possible to carry with Snorlax. I've been doing it since the start. Given that I run a Focus, Buddy & Razor build. Hurts to see my boy Snor getting roasted. Haha.

I really hope Duraladon gets his damage clipped a bit. With his range, he can rip through entire teams way too easily.
I'm also curious how Azumarill will turn out... Probably not nearly as broken i hope

Should definitely keep decidueye on the list. Just don't use spirit shackle. Mr.Mime can also be on the list with either move set now with the nerfs to confusion. Although i do think he is better than some of the other supports because he can at least output damage and not have to rely entirely on teammates.
I think you should add Blastoise with Hydro Surf as it is really terrible build right now with Duraludon,Cinderace, Gengar,Decidueye,Venasuar, Pikachu,Greninja, Charizard,Alolan Ninetales,Wigglytuff,Machamp,Dragonite,Gardevoir,Absol, Garchomp,Lucario,Talonflame, Aegislash, Zeraora,Greedent,Tsareena,Hoopa,Snorlax,Mr.Mime,Mamoswine and Syleon

been dealing with a lot of awful decidueye players lately in solo queue... they think they can just burn objectives while the teamfight happens but then the team is KO’d and the enemy just kills deci and steals objective :/

Zeraora, Aegislash, Dragonite, Garchomp and Mamoswine are all pretty bad in soloque. You can add them for some variety.

Why do people think Aegislash is mid tier? It's literally the worst Pokémon right now. I'd rather run against an aegislash than a cramorant, and that's saying something. He offers very little CC, has low defense, must be close range, and middling damage output. It's like zera but instead of scaling at high levels he still just sucks. If your team has a brain you'll never let him past level 12, which makes him useless, unless you jungle him, which is setting your team up for failure.
The first match was just an unfortunate one. If only the Garde was in the central area, your team could've won the team fight.
I too had a match recently where my team had to go 4V5 near Zapdos, because our Charizard thought it'd be a better idea to go score in their tier 2. The opponents had a Duraludon(while we didn't) and yet they had no tanks. A well timed Charizard Unite could've easily wiped the opponent team out.
Needless to say, we lost that team fight, with 2 on the opponent team surviving.
This may be a hot take, but I think that Aegislash and mamoswine should be on this list. Performance wise I don't think mamo is any better than crustle nor Snorlax. Aegislash also is so difficult to do well with, coordinated team or not.

Jake you should add absol! Why? Because it barely survives in late game like gengar and i barely see it in ranks, also garchomp why? Because it's low mobility in early game and having a low tier items makes it worse like decidueye not using a muscle band hope you will notice this luvyah.
Both are good pokemon, especially absol. Even chomp without muscle band still can somewhat use assault vest to at least give it some sustain
Man, Absol is a good pick. Here in Brazil you can see top teams choosing Absol for top lane.

We need a work around on the MVP system for Unite.. These trash players, like the Gardevoir in game 1, will see they got MVP and think they did good, they only ever scored the 100 points, which was when Zap was up, completely leaving the team hanging and having to deal with the entire enemy team on their own - it's so disheartening honestly, because kids won't know better and just see they get rewarded for playing poorly

Is your wheel based on an overall tier list or a personal one? Because to me it makes no sense to remove Decidueye (even tho ONE of its builds received a buff) and add Snorlax. If carrying games is something to keep in mind, Decidueye shouldn't be removed because it is too dependent on a support or a team to get ahead of the battle. Spirit shackle may be good now, but what about the other biuld? I'm just trying to understand.

In the blissy game Jake hat that pet Duralodon, the AI ist still pretty bad but I like this new beta feature.
Maybe they add bot AI to the new pets before the full release.

That Blastoise at the end of the Blissey game made the right call imo. It takes around 30 seconds to cross the map from spawn to spawn without any speed boosts, and any time the enemy team spends fighting you in that last minute is time spent not scoring. If they ignore you and run, you can clear the wild mons that respawn at their side and score for free
