I started watching Evangelion a few months ago actually didn't think that this anime has such a huge *impact* for me mentally and physically, its in my top anime and to think there's an rebuild version just makes me even more happier ank knowing that Hideaki Anno has finished the series with thrice upon a time is really sad and happy to hear but nonetheless anyway thank you Hideaki Anno for makind Evangelion even though I know I'm not a long fan of this series considering I've just watched this series a few months back, but I really appreciate it and because of that I'm gonna watch more 90s anime instead of hoping new bland anime that will comes out every so often now.

The last part it hit me more than anything and when the credits rolled I was speechless, I felt an emotion that I have never felt in my life it it sorrow, sadness, pain or happiness? Tbh I don't really know what that was all I know is what Evangelion meant to me and how the end made me realize its special even though eva ended it still will be in my heart forever.
Anyone else think Mari is modeled after Moyoco Anno, Hideaki Anno's wife? The more I think about it, the more it feels like she was inserted to show someone unexpected who cared for him during his depression, helped him through it and was there for him after it.

what this anime tougth me that whenever you feel strong and stable in life and are happy with everything, you have to accept that it can turn quickly and there are bad times coming film 2.22 to film 3.33 where everything shinji fighted for collapsed and nothing was achieved for him while being blamed for everything etc. it was a hard time he had to get through, he couldnt really accept it first, but there are people and moments that wait for us that can work wonders and get us up again to learn from mistakes and try again, at the end even crybaby shinji got up again and confronted his fears and his father that he was completly done with just days ago and after that, the better times await (the end of thrice upon a time) trust yourself guys and when its hard to be confident search for people who have trust in you and can help you back up even if its a professional, stay save
