Awww I loved watching Mahmoud...he is such a sweet-heart...always smiling and trying so hard to please his korean costumers without ever forgeting his faith and his principles. That's what I call a true muslim man. I'm so proud to see him taking his religion seriously and never compromising on Allah's rules! How can someone allow "drinking alcohol" in his own restaurant when he believes that it's bad! It's like serving your guests poison or bad food. You wouldn't do that.
And pleasing Allah and being honest is most important. Never sell off your morals and principles for money and fame. Muslims such as Mahmoud want to integrate into society but not assimilate!
Thank you to the muslim community who supported mahmoud so much! And thank you for all the non-muslims for being understanding and tolerant!
It's not easy for Muslims living in non-muslim countries...I hope that mahmoud's story showed some of you how many muslims struggle here and there and how we are normal niece hardworking people.
At times when islamophobic comments are spread without shame...this ones again shows a great example of muslim life and tolerance.
Thank you KBS for showing muslim life in Korea and giving Koreans and Non-Koreans a view into their life and thank you for spreading understanding and awareness.
As salam waalaikum. Peace may be with all of you and may Allah always guide us the right way and increase our hearts with compassion and love. :)

So many people's lives were sacrifice to have what we have today.!! We Korean didn't escaped to other country like Afghanistan.!! If u come to Korea u have to adjust urself first! than just ask Korea open to u people. Korea didn't beg u to come Korea to live. U chose to come to Korea to have ur own life.!!! whose gonna want hire people who disappear 5times a day to pray while working?? Korean people are smart, fast, diligent. We don't like people who are lazy, slow and keep complaining. With that attitude u cannot make success.!! If u have so much complain don't come to Korea. We Korean sacrificed so much to have what we have today!
If u wanna come to Korea don't stay illegal. Too many illegal of u people.!!!

Sure, they can drink alcohol as it’s normal in Korea, but what do they expect in an Islamic restaurant? It’s their religion and they have to be a bit more open-minded. This applies to you too, please don’t swear for no reason.

I've spent four hours watching different muslim families struggling with a new way of life in korea on my neighbour charles and I found Mahmoud and his family to be lovely. May Allah bless you and your wife and children. You are so right if you stick to following your principles God will grant you His blessing in this world and the next. Reading the ingredients on every single item when going shopping brings back memories. God bless.

Mahmoud reminds me of my dad so much. I'm russian and although we're not religious it still reminded me of my hardworking father who carried me throughout my childhood as a single parent. Even though Mahmoud is not a single parent, I can still see how much pressure he has on his shoulders being the breadwinner in the family and in a completely new country. I wish him all the best and I hope he can adjust to korea soon, and lift off some of that weight.

Mahmoud, be my father-in-law please. kekeke
I feels that living as a Muslim in a Islamic country makes me take things for granted because I am free to eat what I want to eat.. Watching this makes me realised, living in non-Islamic country really test our faith as Muslims. If we depend everything on Allah, insha Allah He will guide us in any situations. Honestly, Mahmoud's family is really a good example for Muslims that are living in non-Islam country. They're really taking care of prayer, food and other stuff. May Allah bless all of them. :)
Be strong Muslim brothers and sisters that are living in non-Islamic countries!
