- The COBRA Has Returned - NEW Agent Hero Jericho! Bloons TD Battles 2 - this tower originally in the first version of battles has made its way here in the form of a hero for update 1.10! Jericho is essentially the COBRA of Battles 2, with abilities to siphon money from your opponents, adjust the rank of bloons, and misdirect them back to your opponent. See it in action in this early access showcase.

I don’t think many people noticed but the base Jericho level 10 is actually really strong, it doesn’t just distract but it completely blocks projectiles, check out when you send it to him, his dartlings rockets were completely block, even though the rockets had plenty of pierce left, could be pretty good

I like that, but I don’t agree with it being able to upgrade to a bfb and beyond to attract strong targeting. I feel like it should really be it’s own custom bloon with its own speed, and take priority over every other Bloon except maybe BADs when put on strong to make it actually useful. It should also really go to 75% of the track before disappearing too.
But it will be worse for towers like heli as you can just move them out the way
@@MainChannel9521 yeah I also agree that it should go for more of the track before it disappears, but if you have good timing, you can pretty much completely protect a Moab or rush for a good amount of time, imagine this on a map with a straight away, you send the decoy and it block whatever tower they’re using to capitalize on the straight away, and it just completely shuts down their pierce, can be pretty good, but seems a bit situational
I feel like making the cobra into a hero was a great balance change, you can only have 1 and it takes up your hero slot

This is a good change, but battles 1 cobra was still fairly balanced (in it's current state - I still remember when attrition could kill your opponent). It wasn't awful to go up against as long as you were at least somewhat competent. (although, it would be unbalanced if it was just dropped straight into battles 2, as bloon adjusting every bloon to camgrow fortified wouldn't be fun)

also they kinda split the cobra into jerry and ben, so jericho wont make extra cash. also no life steal and that means hes balanced now
i like that jericho establishes COBRA as like a full blown agency and not just the name of a single dude in a suit with a gun

It's kinda funny how the hero starts randomly spawning camo bloons for the opponent before gaining the ability to detect them himself, lol

@@jaxn7540 no, we already had enough bloonchipper at home such as pat fusty, poukai, the downdraft moab shove combo, and even superstorm. Making a tower that us designed to stall isn't healthy, especially in Battles 2 where passive gameplay feels slow already.

By the looks of things with the misdirection, the misdirected blimp doesn’t disappear on the user’s side I think, so likely a visual bug
I honestly like how there's Battles2 content rather than adding Jericho to Btd6 too. It doesn't really fit Btd6 and it is nice to have exclusive content for spin-off games. They should keep adding stuff like this to separate the games a little so it's not just Btd6 but you battle someone else and it's more of a spin off.

I really like how they made a unique hero that only works with Battle's mechanics. That's actually really cool.

@@fanta6916It is..... Obviously nowhere near as much as BTD 6 has, but that's quite a lot.Though with the best recent changes features and updates its ever seen BTDB2 really deserves the amount BTD 6 has now, or at least half that amount.
It's nice that BTDB2 gets a new original hero that doesn't exist in BTD6. Cobra is so nostalgic, I still remember giving my opponent pain when I got him in a random tower pick. Wonder if they'll add him in BTD6 too or keep it in battles only.
Don't see what's the point of adding him in BTD6, just like the COBRA, so probably battles exclusive forever
If they add him to btd 6 he'll have to work completely different, but maybe that's just an opportunity to make it like a different cobra agent
There's so many battles specific interactions that I doubt nk would add coba to btd6. The only thing cobra could do without tweaking things is shoot - even the level 3 would need slight changes, since it would only give money instead of stealing it
Cobra in btd6 is just Benjamin but worse. The only reason he can't be in the other games is because he can't sabotage the enemy if there's no enemy.

Most obvios thing i can imagine is a passive at lv3 7 and 20 that gives firstly lv3 +1 dmg to camos lv7 another +1 dmg to camos and to Fortifieds and regrows
Lv 20 plus 3 dmg to regrows and +4 to Fortified and camos
(Ik its RLLY basic and thought of on the fly but we dont have a hero that Direcly supports dmg against these types)
I dont count Geraldos Camo potion at a certain level where it gives bonus dmg as its 1 of many items
This is a sort of battles exclusive content that I think fits and makes sense. I still think the skins having different effects should be a thing in btd6 as well, or maybe you can switch their ability set separate to skin since pve. But if battles content is going to be exclusive, it should be things like this that tie inherently into how battles works and thus couldn't be in btd6. If it's something that could easily be in both it seems pointless to make it exclusive when they're (close to) pve and pvp versions of the same game
for the level 10 ability, you can send the fake, and then have a big zomg/bad rush, and everything targeted on first will go for the fake instead.

@@JustGoldy77 some strategies require spamming towers, off the top of my head i can think of fan club spam, dark champion spam, transforming tonic spam. having to retarget all of them can take a while, and even after targeting strong, a DDT rush will insta kill as they are all looking at the BAD's. (sorry for the essay)
For the people who did not watch or play battles 1
Cobra was a super strong supporter that was WAY to strong
It had a ok basic attack
Could generate income like merchant men
Drain 2 lives per round from your opponent and give them to yourself
And decrease the round that you can send a bloon with 1 upgrade if something unlocks at round 14 it unlocks at 13
Also could give a chance to add 1 level to any sent bloon
And you could spam them and each one stacked
If you got 2 with the drain they lost 4 lives a round
And a couple i probably forgot
Most people if they even see a cobra would auto dc
jericho would be sick in btd6, making like a cardboard moab push back baloons and stealing cash so you can get it earlier than usual in a round or something
what’s interesting is that the level 3 abilities encourage different counters, even though they both take the same amount of money. Highwayman encourages the other player to hoard money so their towers don’t get sold, while Agent encourages the other player to use up their money so the siphoning loss is less.
Seems like a death by a thousand cuts type of character where no one thing is so op it will be game breaking but the sum of all the things he does when optimized will just be super oppressive and hard to play against. Making your enemy eco less efficiently to get camo early, taking some of their money, giving you money, making rushes more eco efficient etc will all just snowball if played correctly

Honestly watching this makes me want to get back into btdb2 and bloons in general, I heard td6 also got a new tower. I do suck at battles but maybe I can have a bit of fun along the way.
Finally, a unique hero that wont make games goes late, or rather goes more faster and more aggressive. W hero.
Idk if I read it right, but im pretty certain that the Bloom Adjustment is only Natural bloons....

Them using a Sticky Bomb would have been the an incredibly useful case for a decoy. However, it is ruined by that horrendous desync not even showing if it even worked at all.

Anyone know what that monkey farmer and robot with bloons in it do, I haven't played in a while?
The monkey farmer can collect your banans all over your screen. This means finally top path farms are viable.
And the bloon bot can auto-send bloons.
You click in the bloon bot and then e.g. on the grouped blacks and it will continuously send grouped blacks and just wait when you don't have money, but sends them again when you get enough money.
It stops the auto sending when you send something manually or tab the bloon bot.
I live the bloon bot, because I play on phone and always one finger was occupied with bloon sends.

Best strategy for battles. Have at least ONE tower that can take care of Camo leads (such as Wizard, sniper, whatever). Second, if they can't hit camo leads, send em
5:04 theres some huge big brain potential here the opponent couldve seen the wizard get upgraded and use highwayman jerichos ability which wouldve taken 250$ but of course in this situation it wouldve just sold the cheapest tower instead because the opponent spent all their money on upgrades.
Okay how about, you send an early rush which causes your opponent to upgrade early which gives you the opportunity to remove their only tower so the rush goes through anyways
I feel like the path shortening might be op for layering rushes if your opponent's defences are in the back

the decoy can be a crippling distraction against sniper players or to force the enemy to go for pierce upgrades (otherwise they have to manually chance the targeting)

Normal with short cool-down def makes more money. Also, when Alt gets a boost tha bumps it to 800$, normal gets one that boosts it to 1200$

2:00 jericho alt is actually good for your opponent. if the ability is used and the opponent doesnt have 250 cash, then yeah it sells the tower and gives 250 bucks to the original player. however, if the sold tower is valued at more than 833 dollars, this actually gives more money than selling the tower outright would, which could be super beneficial for the opponent
e.g at 1k dollars, selling gives 700 bucks but having the ability used on u gives 750, granting increased sellback on the sold tower.
this increased sellback eventually approaches the actual value of the tower for a great enough tower value, which could be useful late game. super useless late game lol
The decoy ability seems pretty useless against dartling gunners, maybe against normal targeting it would be a bit better

The top part is not the exit. The bloons go through the ceramic bloom statue there and then reappear at the other status near the end. It's just a shortcut.

I only played Battles 2 for a short while until all the messiness of its botched launch kinda killed any interest I had in the game. This new hero looks fun, though. I might give it another shot when he releases.

If you didn’t know cobra was a tower that was able to drain lives from the enemy which made him op and you could spam thats why cobra was banned for tournaments and stuff but now that cobra isn’t a tower and doesn’t have the life drain then he wont be as annoying which is good
