Hey so I notice when you do your accents, your right hand raises up while your left hand just does a wrist rotation. However when I play this my left hand accents are equal parts wrist turn and hand raise. Am I doing it wrong? Or is there not a “wrong way” and it varies between players?
Blake Crowson You’re right about my wrist and I’ve noticed that too. That’s why I like to record myself to give myself feedback and I’m trying to fix that. As far as technique, you should always try to match motion between your arms/hands(even though traditional grip uses different muscle motions) regardless what style you like, such as east/west coast. Practicing in front of a mirror helps you see this and recording yourself let’s you see and analyze your playing.
