It is kind of a misconception that the suit 'healed' Alcatraz, but in acutality aside from making him an operational combatant from clinical dead status to fixing him in the battlefied from several traumatic encounters, it was actually assimilating him into itself. The novel states that Alcatraz had a functioning heart and a damaged lung when Prophet rescued him by gifting him the suit but within 2 or 3 hours, his left ventricle (heart) was nowhere to be seen and a major portion of his right lung was 'hollow', like there was nothing there. He deduced that Nanosuit 2.0 was using up the already available tissue in his body to keep his neurology intact otherwise the suit would itself cease to function if Alcatraz's neural network stopped. It scavenged his 'less useful' bodyparts to repurpose them into something useful that included eating his heart, lung, useless fat and muscles since the N2 needed 'raw materials' to build or heal the important body parts. Well, in a way we can build a "nanosuit". The slim exoframe with D3O non-newtonian plastic plating. Wrapped in some high endurance compostite material would be a start for wareble armor. Harnessing the body heat as minimum powersource (for walking for instance). Outer layer could have some advanced wide range EM panels(currently, the extremes of IR and UV are not converted to electricity) to generate real time energy during the day. Localised energy storage for rapid deployiment Legs get one set of batteries, arms another etc. Mimicing the nerves-muscles of our body. Tho this means a rather new way of thinking about science and engineering...
but, in addition to that, you´ll see a whole exoskeletton increasing his speed on the suit. The looks of the suit imply that it features a whole synthetic muscle thingy all over the body.
You have to distinguish between the Nanosuit 1.0 from Crysis 1 and the Nanosuit 2.0 from Crysis 2 & 3. The N1 suit was more grounded in reality (as much as alien tech can be) but the N2 suit is basically engineered plot armor that can literally do anything
They reverse engineered it’s adaptive capability The suit is made from material like the previously mentioned carbon nano tubing and titanium to for the metallic parts
@@peta2161 once that shield is down the user of the nano suite will be able to do some serious damage and even if he manages to damage the nano suite user the suit suite can repair itself and the user
How long it would take to fully design a nano suit like the one in Crysis depends on how long and how many are really devoted to its research. Also most of it can be simplified greatly. how small nanotechnology is helps allot too. As for the enhanced strength, it may be possible to link the users muscles to artificial muscle in the suit. It would be like having two sets of muscles operating cooperatively. Invisibility however is trickier to create.
you are really the only one really considering this, and the only other one I've seen thinking about second set of synthetic muscle, well done! :P the invisibility whilst yes harder is not as far away as you may think.....
noctis lucis caelum Well to answer your question, a ton. But to just specialize in the creation of said suit would be a HUGE waste. Don't get me wrong the suit would bring about more money than the investing costs and such and would make a killing off of the military, but nanotechnology (from which the suit stems off of) is the real "gold". The suit is merely one possible creation out of the millions of possible inventions using nanotech. I would rather develop and specialize in nanotech and provide the tech for other companies who need it for the products. In this way, Not only would I have buyers in the military corporations who create the suit and weapons, but in other corps who would use it for daily life. After all, flexibility is key in capitalism. ;)
Imagine a suit like that...Infiltrating enemy bases and sabotaging critical installations and then calling in an airstrike to finish the job...It's a operators wet dream come true.
well that wasn't avaible in the game and hardly anyone reads Crysis novels because Crysis is suppose to be a video game and in stuff like novels manga comics they just make their characters insanely OVERPOWERED just look at comic book superman and film superman
The nanosuit also removes the need to eat, drink or excrete, unless you want the Nanosuit to make you look human again. Even when you are turned to human with the nanosuit, you become a superhuman with superstrength, invisibility and super armor.
Almost none of this had anything to do with science engineering an actual Crytech suit. It only slightly touched on the various elements seen in the suit, but in no direct relation to the nanotechology and it's application.
Only that the crysis nanosuit does not just have a nano element armor, its nano robots, in crysis 3 after prophet turns the safeties off and goes full nano suit he ends up with the suit's nanobots turning into a human looking robot. The idea is that in the future nanorobots will be able to multiply themselves by changing the very atomic structure of other elements creating anything you can imagine, as done in crysis 3 where the suits changes into a human.
The suit can use solar energy to refill energy, but even in the dark, it can refill energy. In fact, in the dark, the energy refills a little bit faster. This means it can also utilize other elements for energy like hydrogen, helium and more.
We cant make the exact Hargreave Nano Shell, no, because it does use reverse-engineered Ceph technology. But that doesn't stop us from making a Nanosuit of our own. A nanosuit that maybe looks a bit different, works a bit different, and uses human tech, but still a nanosuit.
+The Jerky Addict You are completely right, but I just felt like reminding everyone that The suit is alien since most of The comments seemed to be ignoring that fact. Big Crysis fan here (:
Clock Theory :Nano suit can copy the area and make a 3D Photo that no one could see, in Crysis 1,though the eyes of the user can see blue lines as if it was refreshing time to time, since it is2020.
If the energy is the problem i have solutions. First option is to make a generator that converts kinetic energy to electrical, because you'll be running like crazy (or potential energy). Second is to make the suit a huge solar panel which would look stupid and who knows how can it be made. Third option is to make a nuclear reactor, i know its stupid but it can give you a lot of energy and i dont know if there are small nuclear reactors. I know they are dangerous but its still an option.
Imagine gaining power from youre movment of hands and legs etc... Like in electric-bicylce. You are using youre own, biology supiles to creat energy for suit. Pretty intresting, don't you think?
CryNet 2, Nanosuit 2 is the second version of the nanosuit of CryNet Systems appears in Crysis 2, replaces the old version and was introduced four years after the creation of the first nanosuit and due to advances in technology is much more advanced than the first one Alcatraz and Prophet are the only users of nanosuit 2. nanosuit 2 is known as the most advanced piece of hardware in man's possession. Crynet's first nanosuit, while considered almost perfect, still had its flaws and was already threatened by the imitation of North Korean nanosuit. The Nanosuit 2 addresses the shortcomings of the previous model, while also including a lot of new features and hardware. First, the energy efficiency of the original suit that required a significant improvement, and the new red gold-cobalt oxide that increases the capacity of the fuel cell of the nanosuit by 20%, which allows the user to remain in the camouflaged for prolonged periods of time, as well as withstand more damage, which also gives the additional range of 32% in strength and speed, allowing to increase physical performance at the expense of lower energy consumption than the first Nanosuit. In addition, thanks to the improvement of the artificial muscle fibers of nanosuit 2, it is capable of generating up to 450 Newton of force and up to 10,000 grams of contractile acceleration. The suit can absorb energy in a variety of ways, including radiation, carbon, kinetics and even the release of corpses in decomposition. The nanosuit 2 also to the half of the nanosuit 1, as well as the speed and the agility of the user more. The ionic liquid electro-active polymer (a rapid co-politic reaction reflex incorporating doped ceramics, colloids and a copper nanoart in a hollow ball of ethylene-glycol matrix) provides protection against the previous user against radiation and physical impact. It also dramatically increases the motor reflexes, and has an anti-electromagnetic impulse mesh dynamics. The suit also has a great improvement in data collection technology. Nanosuit 1 was only able to be obtained from the data traversed by a visual camera and the memory of the user. To solve this, Nanosuit 2 uses its own enhanced secondary Neuro-integration semiautonomous IA that is driven by a blood glucose infusion parasite and an electrolyte microstack. The non-sensitive chip works at 1.5 SIN and is instantly integrated by remote telemetry and gives a first person input of up to 6,000 different channels that present clear tactical summaries through an interface integrated directly into the visual cortex. It can also take charge of the purely autonomous and regulatory functions of the operators in case of somatic damages. One of the most innovative features of nanosuit 2, however, is its ability to not only control the physical and neurological condition of the soldier, but also in reality. continuously regulates dopamine, lactic acid and corticosteroid levels, anticipates and counteracts stress and debilitating fatigue reactions. The suit also increases and maintains the user's adrenaline and tricyclic levels. It should be noted, however, that prolonged exposure to a neuroinhibitor can cause long-term damage to the metabolic systems. Main Modes Shielding Mode: The energy of the suit is diverted to the muscle-nanofibers to deflect high-speed objects through the hardening of the outer layer of the suit and the increase of the density of the fibers of the suit, the closed impacts and the explosions of energy also son absorbed. This decreases the power of the suit, rather than the user's health. It should be noted that, because the external capacity of the suit increases its density when it is in the armor mode, the strongest steps and the properties of this user are reduced when traveling on the ground, such as concrete or brick. A slight shine will flow through the fibers of the suit, due to the energy channels of cushioning. Camouflage mode: the nanofibers on the surface of the suit dynamically scan the surroundings and reflect it to the outer layer in all its depth, hiding the user, and suppresses the sounds produced by the movement of the user. And it instantly drains all the available energy from the user if the user shoots a non-silenced firearm, however, if the user fires a silenced firearm, the amount of energy is reduced. Therefore, it is advisable to aim at the head of the target to maximize the damage while remaining camouflaged. Camouflage will be temporarily disabled if the user hits an enemy, picks up an object or performs a stealthy assassination. However, camouflage does not make the user invisible, a closer look reveals a spectrum of colors and reveals that something is refracting light in the area. The Nanotrjae reflects the light of its surroundings and forms a refreshment. Power Mode: This mode is only activated when necessary. It is a combination of the speed mode and the force mode of the previous Nanosuit, although it works better than both. It activates and consumes energy when performing actions such as a powerful jump, sprint fast, or move a very large and / or heavy object, or crash into a surface or an enemy with titanic force. Secondary modes Tactical Viewer Mode: This mode replaces the tactical binoculars of the first game and integrates various tactical functions. It allows efficient transmission of large amounts of battlefield information. The user can select the elements of importance, such as corpses, weapons, ammunition, conduits, consoles, target points and the like and scan them for more information, as well as enemies and tag them to track their location on the ground. This mode also filters the ambient noises and improves the perception of the senses, so that the user can easily listen to the conversations that take place in the environment. Nanovision mode: By using low energy this works effectively both as thermal and night vision camera. When activated, everything becomes grayscale, with the exception of heat sources. It also simulates night vision by changing the lighting of what is seen to make everything have a uniform brightness. This was significantly improved to the night vision of Nanosuit 1, since it is no longer blind with bright lights. Hacking Mode: In Crysis 3 the Nanosuit has evolved to the point of being able to hack minefields, weapons, CELL Sentinel Turrets, containers, gates and also Ceph alien units. Secondary functions Defibrillator: This is a function that can be activated to reanimate the user in the nanosuit when the user goes into cardiac arrest. If a user receives too much damage as in the case of Alcatraz, Nanosuit can cure it, however, it can also reactivate the heart, which is the function of defibrillators. Respirator: This is a function automatically activated by the suit when submerged in water (or when oxygen is otherwise available). The respirator provides the user with breathable oxygen. It is able to recycle again the exhaled carbon dioxide in oxygen, and can also use the hydrolysis process to separate water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen, using hydrogen to help the energy consumption and giving the user oxygen to be inhaled . This process allows the user to remain underwater indefinitely.
if every country and every single scientist without discrimination of caste, religion, nationality and considering ourselves humans then we can accomplish the impossible.
To bend light you must use either a mass that has a gravitational pull which can pull light off track or you must use a system of diffraction mirrors to allow the light to slide off the object thus making it appear invisible. I was saying, if they did make a suit with the qualities of light consumption then you would appear as a void and it would look cool. Thanks for the comment tho
Keep this series up ! It's interesting to see things like this serious coming from a gaming news source. If it was a T.V show I would watch it. Learned some good things.
Have people forgotten that the nanosuit was based off of Alien technology? People say that it will take 20 to 40 years but c'mon that will be with Alien technology. I believe it will take 200 to 500 years without Alien technology.
Power needs is one of the most anticipated concepts in science. With our current achievements in the last 100 years, which was more than the entire history combined, shows how quickly we can make a huge boost in technology, and every day science finds it's way around obstacles that were previously inconcievable. Just look at the things we can make today. A man has made a machine that creates the process of photosynthesis without any flora growth, just with a couple of filters. Infinite oxygen.
A better resolution would be artificial nano fiber muscle, the bundles of nano fibers can contract rapidly when exposed to heat or electricity, up to 200 times stronger than human muscle. Nano fibers are just made of ropes of carbon nanotubes (enrolled graphene) which are twisted together into thicker yarns and set into paraffin wax.
Yea the nanofiber exo muscle tissue seems like a better way to go, which is exactly how the nanosuit operates. The fibres in the nano tissue can compress and extend like normal muscle tissue, but is much stronger, lighter, and can hold electricity to power itself
This series is incredible! May I suggest something? It's not really game fiction (at least not only), but how about his: What kind of Batman's utilities and equipment (e.g. the cape and its functions) are fiction and what are realizable? Or maybe even Spider-Man's webshooters or Iron Mans armor. I know, these are a lot of suggestions :P
It is a miniaturized fusion reactor that can put out an amazing amount of power. And yes, they can be miniaturized, we just don't know how to at the moment. It's beyond our current technological grade.
Light bending would augment the surrounding area of the object bending the light. This would effectively allow the user to maintain colours/ objects around him although they would be distorted. I think this would easily show to be an effective form of active camouflage wither used by a government agency or a simple forest hunter. Either way, a void that would contract the sight of its surroundings would easily fool the naked eye.
The Crysis Nanosuit "Stealth" mode redirects light waves around it, essentially turning it into a big mirror. Since you are inside the "mirror" you cannot be seen.
Paul efect . I have 2 or 3 things to say. One most bullets have a average velocity of about 800 to 1200miles per hour. The spread of sound is about 760 miles per hour. Two. Stopping the bullet from penetrating the body will stop most teams in body armor. Three you can't deflect a bullet with magnets unless you have like 80 pounds of them. Even with this it will only move the bullet a few inches. One more thing surpressed rounds are subsonic.
That cloaking mechanism actually does cloak visible light, sort of. It BENDS it, so it looks like it's warped with two rocks and whatnot floating nearby. However the material isn't plausible on that scale... yet.
Yes, definitely looking forward to Crysis 3! Hopefully there'll be the right balance of cinematic feel and freedom to explore. Thanks for the informative showcase!
Except that in the opening cutscene for Crysis 2, they show you exactly how the Nanosuit 2.0 armours itself by altering its outer surface into a nanoscale composite and using it to disperse physical impacts across it. There is somewhat of a real-world equivalent to this, a body armour called dragonscale, which uses titanium-ceramic discs. It can take virtually any caliber round without penetration and has been shown to survive being laid on top of an anti-personnel landmine. Honestly, if you could make a body armour which uses nano-scales like the Nanosuit does, it probably would be nearly indestructible.
deciding when this technology will be availiable is really tough, back in 1901 people thought it would be hundreds to thousands of years before we achived proper flight, look what happened 2 years later, and look where we are now in 2013, im sure no one then thought that what is now would ever be a reality.
what if the guy does not have a skin but the suit has to bonded his body especially to his muscles the materials help the muscles to expand much more than a normal muscle tissue.Increased physical strenght.
Technically, everything in the nanosuit is plausible. The only exception is the ability to survive long falls, because until a way to negate inertia is created, no matter how well-designed the suit is, it can never keep your organs from turning to chunky salsa if you fall several hundred feet.
If you think about it, the first Crysis game plays in 2020, then we have 7 years to make the suit. Also if you look the technical developement in the last 7 years, the crysis nanosuit is a real possibility. Looking forward to it.
Nanosuit is not just about nano technology, the suit is a crazy alien symbiote given that it was developed from whats found in tunguska, and unless we find a way to make synthetic equivalent of muscles and other components - just buncha carbon nanotubes and exoskeletons wont make it even close to actual Nanosuit.
Thermoelectronics could work, however, in the case of a nanosuit built for every circumstance, it must also be ready for cold environments, hence the nano crystalline material must be quite efficient in terms of gathering heat from just the host's body temperature and immediately transforming it into electricity. That, or scientists could start working on some form of cryoelectronics to work in conjuction with the thermoelectronic properties of said nano crystalline material.
Considering the knowledge we have of nano-technology today.. i'd say best case scenario; 20 - 30 years, under 20 years if nano-technology becomes the prime focus and people start to realize how invaluable it is. Realistically... 50 - 80 years.
Remember, that the suit's AI gathers every possible byte of data possible, converts it into a virul gel, and injects it directly into the user's cerebellum. The suit uses symbiotic and adaptive bio-technology that directly interfaces with it's host.

I think this could happen in the next 10 to 15 years
I think a hundred at least
but, in addition to that, you´ll see a whole exoskeletton increasing his speed on the suit. The looks of the suit imply that it features a whole synthetic muscle thingy all over the body.
very soon guys science is progressing faster than anything else
You have to distinguish between the Nanosuit 1.0 from Crysis 1 and the Nanosuit 2.0 from Crysis 2 & 3. The N1 suit was more grounded in reality (as much as alien tech can be) but the N2 suit is basically engineered plot armor that can literally do anything
Yeah, they didnt even talk about speed mode. Kinda disappointing that he only focused on nanosuit 2.0 and not 1.0
isnt nanosuit is a reverseenginered alien tech
its is
and heavily upgraded too
They reverse engineered it’s adaptive capability
The suit is made from material like the previously mentioned
carbon nano tubing and titanium to for the metallic parts
Also it’s a semi organism and that’s where it’s gets it’s symbiosis
That's what I love about the Crysis Suit design it seems like a realistic design for a possible real life exosuit.
@Gamer Woona
Because the nanosuit 2 is superior to MJOLNIR armor...
Not superior if the mjolnir model is Mk.7 which uses nanotechnology for self-repair and self-upgrade when not in use or user is in cryosleep
Robotato Not very useful when it's nanosuit opponent has the ability to use an armour mode strong enough to resist every fire arm.
Also cloaking but both are so cool
@@tacticalfacepalm5403 Mjolnir has energy shields for that and are far more effective.
@@peta2161 once that shield is down the user of the nano suite will be able to do some serious damage and even if he manages to damage the nano suite user the suit suite can repair itself and the user
I think, if a country(s) focused on making a Nanosuit, we could see a full functional one by 2100, maybe 2150.
Its gonna be worth a billion dollars but the im wondering how much $ will the creator make profits from it.
you are really the only one really considering this, and the only other one I've seen thinking about second set of synthetic muscle, well done!
They forgot about the part where the Nanosuit can change it's shape into any object.
well that wasn't avaible in the game and hardly anyone reads Crysis novels because Crysis is suppose to be a video game and in stuff like novels manga comics they just make their characters insanely OVERPOWERED just look at comic book superman and film superman
I come form a future video..... dude what happened to the hair :D
Ditto
It's called a haircut....
I just realized that this is the first time I have had fun learning!
By 2028 I bet we'll have at least really good prototypes
time traveller here, I dunno about that.
The suit can use solar energy to refill energy, but even in the dark, it can refill energy. In fact, in the dark, the energy refills a little bit faster. This means it can also utilize other elements for energy like hydrogen, helium and more.
that exoskeleton suit reminds me of the movie elysium
They totally forgot how the suit gives the wearer accelerated self-healing capability.. Like the Wolverine.
By 2020 it will be a fact, not fiction - as the game itself introduces.
Hope so honestly
This aged well
Its 2021. I want my refund.
@@prime_optimus I am certain there are prototypes we are not aware of as meager civilians - no refunds, thank you come again!
Given how little a soldier's gear has evolved in the past century, Id say about 800 years at least
Everyone seems to be forgetting that The suit uses ALIEN tech. So, no we can't make it Irl.
Fair enough :)
Bulldops McSchwifty
I know they are dangerous but its still an option.
one shot to that small nuclear reactor and everything in 5000 kilometers will stop existing.
+irakli “Bomtvare” bogveradze yeah i know but if its protected with special armor, some forcefield it may be possible :D
+DOOMC4D like protected weak point huh? fair enough
+irakli “Bomtvare” bogveradze it can be placed inside the body maybe or on the spine
+DOOMC4D or put energy cells in the chest and replace it when it depletes
Imagine gaining power from youre movment of hands and legs etc... Like in electric-bicylce. You are using youre own, biology supiles to creat energy for suit. Pretty intresting, don't you think?
Can I test the Prototype :D
Really enjoyed this topic. Loved hearing that classic Hans Zimmers soundtrack at the end for Crysis 2
I am a fan of crysis and think it will take 4 more years to complete
very optimistic
i hope so
GamingTrite2480 almost been 3 years buddd
Main Modes
Shielding Mode: The energy of the suit is diverted to the muscle-nanofibers to deflect high-speed objects through the hardening of the outer layer of the suit and the increase of the density of the fibers of the suit, the closed impacts and the explosions of energy also son absorbed.
Secondary modes
Tactical Viewer Mode: This mode replaces the tactical binoculars of the first game and integrates various tactical functions.
Secondary functions
Defibrillator: This is a function that can be activated to reanimate the user in the nanosuit when the user goes into cardiac arrest.
Sanjay Krishnan Nair agreed
We can push the earth using just our bare hands?
Awesome episode ! Crysis is one of the BEST OF THE BEST series of games.
I say 50 years tops.
I've waited a while to find this video just to say...
*NANOMACHINES SON*
Why bother make it EA would just fuck it up!
That's why Nanosuits costs 2 billion bucks each!
Infinite oxygen.
this is a brilliant idea for a show, keep it up
I want this kind of suit. As long as it would let me take it off when I'd want to.
Keep up the great work on this show, it's really interesting!
Maybe in 10 Years we will have something like this?
for strength you can use nanorobots that can travle trough the blood stream and pump non lethal but conentrated amounts of adrenalin
That's extremely dangerous.. Your body would shut down. haha Good idea though. Maybe.
Why not simply an adrenaline shot
It's not really game fiction (at least not only), but how about his:
What kind of Batman's utilities and equipment (e.g. the cape and its functions) are fiction and what are realizable?
Or maybe even Spider-Man's webshooters or Iron Mans armor.
I know, these are a lot of suggestions :P
It is a miniaturized fusion reactor that can put out an amazing amount of power. And yes, they can be miniaturized, we just don't know how to at the moment. It's beyond our current technological grade.
The nanosuit isnt basically just power, armor and cloak.
It also created anti-bodies, visor + nanovisor and keeps alcatraz's body alive
I'm quite surprised, but happy at the same time, to see science in a video game show.
100 years to get every thing working properly and efficiently to a point
I like the reference to Futurama with the "What If Machine". Give 'em credit!
STFU
Why? And when it said teams it was supposed to say trauma. Auto correct changed it.
Liked, favorited, and just pre ordered the hunter edition. :)
Amazing show! Keep up the good work.
Love it guys! Keep up the good work!
2020 is not far away now folks. The raptor team should still be black and spec ops at the moment.
They should try to vibrate the non-newtonian fluid and if it can stop bullet when trigered 😏 sorry for bad english
That cloaking mechanism actually does cloak visible light, sort of. It BENDS it, so it looks like it's warped with two rocks and whatnot floating nearby. However the material isn't plausible on that scale... yet.
The strength in the nanosuit is not generated by motors or exoskeletons, the suit releases some chemicals to the muscles to make them stronger.
It is crazy and easy to make on.
deciding when this technology will be availiable is really tough, back in 1901 people thought it would be hundreds to thousands of years before we achived proper flight, look what happened 2 years later, and look where we are now in 2013, im sure no one then thought that what is now would ever be a reality.
what if the guy does not have a skin but the suit has to bonded his body especially to his muscles the materials help the muscles to expand much more than a normal muscle tissue.Increased physical strenght.
300 years? Anyway, AWESOME video!!! Enjoyed it very much!
Another great episode. :)
Technically, everything in the nanosuit is plausible. The only exception is the ability to survive long falls, because until a way to negate inertia is created, no matter how well-designed the suit is, it can never keep your organs from turning to chunky salsa if you fall several hundred feet.
Crysis Nano Suit or Spartan MJOLNIR
That, or scientists could start working on some form of cryoelectronics to work in conjuction with the thermoelectronic properties of said nano crystalline material.
you forgot about the visor.
With the power bit, in the Crysis book, Alkatraz uses bodies and solar power to power the Nano Suit 2.0
"I'm a huge metal fan."
"Me too!"
The suit uses symbiotic and adaptive bio-technology that directly interfaces with it's host.
amazing show
But HOW are you going to give graphene to a TITANS HAND
They already have nanosuits scheduled for use in 3 yrs. Nothing as advanced as crysis but they will have a huge impact on modern warfare as we know it
