- French President Emmanuel Macron in an interview with Economist reiterated that he has not ruled out sending troops to Ukraine. Macron said that the issue would "legitimately" arise "If the Russians were to break through the front lines, if there were a Ukrainian request”. “We would legitimately have to ask ourselves this question," Macron said. The French president also emphasised that NATO had overcome its initial reluctance to send advanced weaponry to Ukraine.

@@user-di1rj2be7w Odessa is the most important city in Ukraine regarding this war, and after it , just after Kyiv. The west would give half of Ukraine just for that city not to be lost. The reason is Odessa is the biggest and practically the only big sea port that Ukraine still has since the russians took vast majority of the ukrainian coastline , and that port can be used not only for commercial but for military purposes, and thats what hurts London and Washington most, for ships carrying weapons and war naval machinery. Landlocked countries have no strategic importance and independence, in this case it would depend to Poland in almost everything. Without Odessa Ukraine would stay landlocked and thus much less chance for the west to use Ukraine for Black sea domination . They dragged Romania and Bulgaria into Nato for that same purpose - naval closeness to russian warm waters. Same with Turkey 70 years ago.

The only problem for France in the event of war is the betrayals of the USA and UK, who will do everything to make France lose, otherwise France with its 150 Rafale and 100 Mirage 2000, will crush the Russian air force in one month, in Ukraine, and the rest the Ukrainians will know how to do it.

By French law he cannot send the regular forces without the country behind him.
Unlike the legion they are used and disposed of as necessary as they are usually not French citizens. In a nutshell legal mercenaries.

Althoug France has a big army, it lacks the capacity to project it far away form its frontiers (the numbers deployed in Africa are very small, and ment to act more as spearhead for the local alies rather than a fully independent army).
The channel "History Legend" has estimated, that on its own, France is capable of deploying around 20.000 soldiers (army and airforce) in Ukraine, something almost ridiculous, if we consider that each EACH SIDE fields around 500.000 soldiers in Ukraine........
Also, once on the battlefield, there is no way their industry could produce the necesary number of amunition their troops would require in an high-intensity-conventional war.
So, yeah! no operation "Croissant on the Dnieper". Sorry.

No B404, It was not Russian agression that caused the Ukraine conflict, it was NATO,s east expansion. And now Europe is dependant on US energy which is very expensive and not as reliable, it can also be sanctioned if Europe does not behave like the US wants. So has anything improved ? No, everything is more expensive. Mr Trump wanted to make America great again, but at the expence of others. The US was a great nation and could still be, it has however in recent years made some very unfortunate decisions. Best regards.

I find it hard to accept the truth about our Swedish demilitarizing politics which started when the Berlin Wall fell. Before that we could mobilize 800.000 troops, at least if we consider all categories from officers to young private soldiers and of course we had sufficient equipment in the air force, navy and in the army. Imagine that in a population of just 7.000.000 such a strong military organization did exist in which everybody was prepared to fight for our freedom. I estimate that we now can mobilize 50.000 in case of a war.

The problems of this war is Russia can use all kind of weapons except nuclear missiles but other than that they use all their advance military equipment while UKRAINE use only their weapon just to depends it's self and has a limited range if only their allies give permission to attack inside Russia and all the weapon that Ukraine need like ballistic missiles that can reach military sites in Russia the war could be match Russia can get weapons in his allies without any condition they can use what ever they want
