Hey guys! This video has been blowing up recently! If you have any interest in Halo Reach I highly recommend going and checking out my video on it. It's a lot like this video but with better editing lol. Come check it out! ruclips.net/video/soG3X7ACprU/видео.html
My childhood, overall, was pretty horrible. I dealt with a lot of trauma as a little girl. But this game was my safety blanket. It feels like a cosy morning, still tucked up in bed, sunlight peeking through the curtains, and feeling happy for a little while. I’m 20 now. I still love Animal Crossing. Some things never change.
These games really had a unmatched ability to draw you in and make you forget about the outside world. I miss that sometimes. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I still vividly remember Nan moving into my town on my Wild World game and her putting up her house RIGHT NEXT to mine. I was so frustrated because it made it impossible to decorate around my house. With Nan to the right, the shops to the north, the cliff to my left and the sea to my south. Yet after I got over my hostility I came to love Nan and personified her as like the Granny next door. I ended up loving her the most of all my villagers and was devastated after returning to my game years later and finding out she moved. Never could of thought a little character in a game could make me feel so many emotions! Just hearing that theme song brought back so many happy memories :)
This is exactly what happened to me in new leaf with Deena, now she's a permanent resident on my acnh island and up with my favorites 😂 I tried so hard to get rid of her because I was so mad she moved so close to me but ended up loving her so much
I think that the real power of Animal Crossing is the ability to froze time in a particular moment of your life. If you got engaged in it's routine, making your city thrive and then one day you just don't feel like playing it again, a huge amount of time can pass and when you finally you remember about your village, those funny animals who treated you like genuine digital friends will welcome you with open arms, asking you how are you doing...
I'm currently playing it again. What is it about this game that I added playing at least 1 hour a day into my routine? Haha I love it and it's weird how even if two villagers have the same personality they feel very different. Great video!
This review just....sums it up so perfectly. From the playing with your siblings, to the late-night car drives, enjoying the wonderful atmosphere ^^ As a child it just had a certain magic that the newer games just can't really capture that well, I think.
Every single Animal Crossing game (aside from ACNH) gives me massive amounts of nostalgia, Wild World and City Folk especially! Your video did such a great job of encapsulating the nostalgia these games bring people
This is one of the best written video essay format videos ive seen in a long time, really captures the feeling of ACWW. Very good work for a small youtuber.
Animal crossing wild world was my first animal crossing game. Reminds me of the times when I would have a blanket over my head in the car and getting bitten by a scorpion.
i do NOT appreciate the Tom Nook slander! he gives you a house when YOU show up BROKE and just goes "hey thats okay, do some chores and you can pay me back whenever you can!". imagine showing up to an apartment and the landlord is like "hey do you have your rent?" and you go "im broke lol, can i just stay here for free?" Tom Nook does so much for you and all you do is slander his name because he wants the money from the basically free house he gives you. anyway i love animal crossing wild world! its my childhood game and i remember waking up early on even school days just to play a couple minutes of it! fun times. plus the characters feel so much more alive than the new games
You don't have a choice in that matter though lol. Bro simply sees a random guy and somehow entraps him into a huge mortgage lol. He is a real estate version of a loanshark lmao. The animal crossing wild world animals are for real classics, the music too was on another level. One of the biggest nostalgia games for me personally.
what a stunning video. I mean genuinely, this video is so gentle, heartfelt, and genuine. watching this not only brought a sense of peace, but healing. everything said is true, whether it be tom nook being a con-artist, or animal crossing as a series holding the properties of simple past, it's all right. thank you for posting this video...
I’m glad you made this video! I would like to add that what you said about the music and the state animal crossing puts you in so true! With the ds and 3ds opening the console up and bottling up your cartridge to play animal crossing and hearing that iconic soundtrack is like a ritual for peace and calmness… for me animal crossing on the 3ds and earlier just felt right..
I love the Animal Crossing series. I was introduced to it by my mother, who fell in love with it, even when the game was only on the GameCube. After that, I played every game as it came out. My mother, my sister and I would all get so excited when a new game would come out, and we'd play it for days. Even though my favorite is City Folk, I still have the strongest memories with New Leaf, playing with my mother and sister, or just messing around. New Horizons however, killed my enjoyment of the series. It wasn't Animal Crossing, yet it had features I've wanted since the beginning. I was so excited for it, getting every bit of information about it. But the game isn't Animal Crossing. They removed the core of Animal Crossing. It's Animal Crossing visually, but they ruined it in so many small ways, and with Animal Crossing, small things are big. The crafting system completely destroyed the game! Tools constantly breaking! Only having a reason the play holidays once! They removed fan favorite characters! Who remembers Pete? If you woke up early enough you could see him! They removed Resetti! They made Rover only appear on a single day of the year! They removed Gracie! The store only upgrades once! I don't think I'll be excited about the next Animal Crossing. New Horizons is the best selling game in the series, so I doubt Nintendo will make the next game more like Animal Crossing.
Nice video dude, gave me real nostalgia for the most important game of my childhood; I loved all the small details you could find out - the rare times Tom Nook and other npcs told you a bit of his backstory or how to get the golden tools. I really have some lovely memories of playing it. But don't do my boy Tom Nook that dirty, he may not be perfect but he builds you a house and just waits for you to pay it off with 0% interest rates or anything. You don't even have to pay it off. I wish he would sell me a house lmao Looking forward to see more of your videos :)
Hey thanks so much man, I'm a new RUclipsr so comments like these mean a ton to me. I'm in the editing phase on a Halo reach video, so if you like that game be sure to stay tuned as it will probably be out within a week or two!!
It looks dated and simple now, but this game was so revolutionary when it came out tbh. Absolutely ruled my childhood. The internet and the ability to make friends around the world was still this cool new commodity, so getting to visit a ton of different towns and play with people in them at the same time was so cool to me. I spent so much time on a particular Animal Crossing forum in middle school lol, I think I was kind of at the perfect age when ww came out. Making friends, visiting others, finding patterns to theme my town with, 'working' for giveaway/landscape services lmao. I remember turning my town into a camp once, sleeping bag and campfire patterns in a forest of trees I planted, then inviting a bunch of people for a "sleepover" where we mostly just chatted late into the night. The Terrible Secret of Animal Crossing, anyone? I'm still close with a handful of people from that forum today. New Leaf may be objectively better, but Wild World just had a mix of cozy/otherworldliness I think the newer games lack. You really felt like a stranger to this town in the first couple games... that rainy taxi ride set a great tone. That's probably just nostalgia/childhood talking though lol. Either way, this game will always have a special place in my heart. And Antonio and Walker will always be my homies. ❤
This was a nice video, I feel the same way with ACCF. Reminds me of all the fun times I had with my older sister playing ACNL for hours on end, great video dude. You earned a like, and sub
This literally made me so sad because that part of our lives if passed. I still have my DS with this animal crossing. Definitely will be playing it tonight
Nintendo has such nostalgia. I recently started playing new horizons, and it’s such a transformational experience. I don’t remember a lot from my childhood but I did remember my cats game on my DS lite. I’m planning on getting wild world to play again. Please make more wild world in animal crossing content. This video truly brought me back. Thank you.
Not a bad video man! You talk in circles sometimes making some things mentioned a little redundant but you definitely have something here. Best of luck to your channel!
I remember when Goose was one of my villagers when playing WW then year's later for my 23rd my parents got me a switch bundle (don't worry guys I was saving up for a switch at the time and was willing to pay half of it) as well as NH, Goose was also my first villager in the new game too. I almost cried seeing him again it was like a reunion 🥺
I wasn’t expecting to be hit in the feels so hard about this. I grew up plying the GameCube when I was like 6, and I’ve played every edition since. Now my son and I are playing on the switch together. And it’s wonderful. You truly encapsulated the vibe with this video. Thank you so much.
This video brought back so many memories and so many feelings. It was truly the simplicity of it all that made me feel so at home during my chuldhood and teens, even now in my adult years. There are times I wish I could go back to these simpler times playing WW and CF, and even New Leaf. Being young playing this series from the beginning. Truly my comfort game...
Literally some of my best childhood memories is playing animal crossing. In my room at night before sleeping or at the back of the car while my parents were driving us home. I loved every second.
@@troll4life662 for example in my country Playstation and Xbox are very popular and a lot of people own their consoles but Nintendo is practically non-existant and barely anyone has their consoles
@@troll4life662 Not everyone lives in America. I live in Asia and they are right, Nintendo really isn't that popular here, Playstation seems to reign over here more than any other console.
@@CallistoEcIipse Bloody hell that's one hell of a assumption I'm from Australia I'll have you know though I guess it's possible for the majority of people to not own a Nintendo console if they happen to be unlucky enough to live in a dictatorship and perhaps using a VPN to access RUclips but otherwise physically impossible given how wide spread the company is.
This video felt like sitting on a rooftop with a friend after a long car drive and talking about life while looking at the stars. It's comforting but makes you feel nostalgic and melancholic at the same time. For a simple life simulation game (at least by today's standards, although I think it has a unique charm that is effective to this day), Wild World meant so much to so many people and continues to bring us all together today as we reminisce about our time playing, our childhood and all look to the future of both the franchise and our own lives. ♡
Animal Crossing, it has never been part of my childhood. However, it feels like I’ve been playing for years. I know no one, yet I love all of my villagers. Even though I don’t play a lot, I feel like as these were my friends growing up. The only thing I can recognize is the music. As it would come from all the youtube videos I’d watch, all the silly roblox games I’d play. The music is one thing that constantly sticks with me, as it always seems to be everywhere I go. It makes me feel young, yet I’ve never played this franchise ever in my childhood. Animal Crossing truly is something special.
I remember when I was younger, me and my sister also used to play wild world a ton. It‘s funny how we share the same bro&sis childhood memory. While this was my very first ac game, it’s not my favorite, that would have to be new leaf. However I still appreciate how nostalgic and immersive this game is, and your analysis perfectly sums up why ww is so charming. Great stuff! (: P.s: love how half of the video is you driving your car in the middle of the night lol
In comparison to the rest of my channel it's really good haha! RUclips doesn't really like small creators who can't make a video a week lol. If you like this one though I recommend my Halo reach video. That one is my magnum opus XD.
I have owned my DS since 2009, and animal crossing was the only game I ever lost. I think it was around 2013, and I was so annoyed. I only replaced it recently, and I am rediscovering the joy I got from this game when I was a teenager. Brilliant video, all of the nostalgia hits close to home.
Me and my sister used to play this a lot with our cousins (we were raised together) through our childhoods and well into our teens. Despite rough patches, I had overall a pretty happy childhood so whenever I am reminded of this game I remember the good times we shared both in the game and out. It was such a charming game, and really mysterious at the time. I remember my cousin and I trying to guess how to unlock the hair salon, exchanging playground rumors between classes with my friends, trying to understand what the info I could find online said with my limited english, finding out the different easter eggs like the UFO. And also times when I hid the DS under my pillow so I could play past my bedtime just to walk around the town at night. To this day the 12 pm music makes me think of sleeping in during the weekends, it's such a good game for me. I love New Leaf and even though it's gameplay is my favorite of the series I cannot sincerely say it is my favorite since I played it when I was going through some really tough times, and New Horizons well... We all know what happened all too well. Wild World will always hold a really special place in my heart that few other games will probably come close too, I can only think of Lost In Blue and Aion coming close to the feeling I get when I revist this game.
Wow, you really read my mind on everything. Playing this during simple times, and now we are all older. I listen to animal crossing music as I study, and I think of the good times.
I loved the video! :) I started playing my old Wild World file again recently and I just LOVE it even more than I did when I got it at 8 years old. Now I am 25. Not ashamed of a minute I spend in this game.
i’m from a tiny little town in north carolina but i moved out of the states 3 years ago, haven’t been back yet because of covid. the footage of the drive seriously felt so nostalgic that it was painful. can’t wait to finally see my family after this long
I'm very glad! There is just something about driving home at night on familiar roads that can be so comforting. I hope you have a wonderful time seeing your family again and thanks for commenting, it means a lot to us small RUclipsrs!
@@TevansYT thanks for replying! i just saw your sub count and i am seriously so shocked. subbed now and wishing you a lot of growth! keep up the great content. :) also i can’t wait to visit them soon(hopefully this christmas!) so thank you!
@@nightcoregremlin Thanks! Even though others would look at 100 subs and not be to impressed it's all I've been thinking about lately, especially cause two months ago I had 30 😂. Adjusting to college has been wild lately but content should be coming soon. :)
I never played, but I always get chills from the music. Early 2020, I would listen to music from the games during online school, in the background, or on a bad day. :)
I'm 42, this game wasn't available when I was younger, but many years ago I saw a vid of a grandma playing this game and couldn't find it anymore so I was looking for a review of that game. Well, your vid is much better than I was searching for. Thanks for sharing it in that way!
new leaf and city folk…i think i liked city folk the best. characters were still pretty diverse, you could leave and literally go to a whole ‘nother city with shops and a theater and redd and katrina-not to mention the walrus guy who used to come sell little carnival trinkets like bubbles or balloons. if you were lucky enough, you could buy a bunny shaped balloon. i loved new leaf, i loved that i could take it anywhere i wanted so i could just feel safe and small again anytime i want. but city folk just had my heart. during second grade and during the summers, i would always play city folk in the comfort of my grandma’s sun room. the cozy enclosure with the foldable couch-bed. i could just leave everything behind and block everything out, and focus on nothing but tinkering with custom designs and befriending my villagers. the soundtrack on city folk was also extraordinary, and it, as you said, put me in that headspace. a gentle, comfortable, safe, small headspace. it felt like home playing that game, and i’m so happy i still have it.
6:50 silly goose, this is the 7 pm song from animal crossing new leaf, not wild world :) this was a great retrospective video. i also fondly remember playing animal crossing wild world on drives home. waking up early before school to check out the shops, loading up my town as soon as i got home. reading the villager dialogue out loud to my father as he drove me to and from sports practice. coming back from a hot summer's day outside, rushing to eat and shower the dirt off me so i could cozy up in bed and watch some summer fireworks in game. i miss those days more than anything. animal crossing will always be the most special game in the world to me.
seeing thru the years, many chars have grown too. The nook himself looks more tired from day-to-day life, the old friend Redd keeps luring the villagers. Take a look in Animal Crossing Animations from Densle, he captured the essence of this world
I think Wild World is ny favourite and it wasn't even the 1st one I played. I think its the memories playing with friends and being able to bring it anywhere. Still play to this day.
The story at the beginning is really heartwarming. I have a Similar story that Pokemon fans never seem to like. It was the Christmas of 2011, me and my brother's first Christmas back with our parents after a long and complicated situation involving false cps calls and stuff, my brother and I hit dsiXLs, and a ton of games, in the list were Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, my brother took Diamond, and I took Pearl, little did I know. That choice would dictate my whole life afterwards in the best way possible. People never seem to accept that THAT is a huge part of why Pokemon pearl is my favorite game of all time. We'd stay up late on school nights playing in the underground, battling. Or just talking across the hall about what we were up to. I miss those days.
Thanks Emrick! Those days just had a certain feeling to them that nowadays just doesn't. I really enjoyed reading your comment, and thanks for telling your story. Despite this vid blowing up recently it's comments like this one that makes me keep uploading.
@@TevansYT there's a feel about growing up that just takes away from life. I miss when I had no responsibility other than making sure I woke up for school and did my homework. I have this stupid illusion in my head that when I finally get the money to move out of my parents' place, I'll move back to my childhood town. But with the way the economy is, and jobs around where I live. I'll be lucky if I ever move out.
@@emrickazor2610 The economy has been hilariously bad lately. It's tough hearing stuff from parents and older adults how they were able to move out when they were 20's. They still don't understand how much the economy has shifted. The reality for people our age is that if we want to be independent we have to accept having two to three roomates until our mid 20's Best of luck, I just moved out but I had to swallow the pill of having 5 roommates.
This was the only game my sister and I shared too lmao. Well, that and Nintendogs, but I'm sure you can guess why we also had that game in common. I was too young to really understand that paying off the loans was the only way to really progress in the game, and, as a result, I mainly spent my time galavanting, fishing, enjoying chats with the villagers, never paying off a single loan. That is until I finally visited my sister's town using Nintendo's wireless multiplayer (which back then, even my kid brain could comprehend that this was truly groundbreaking technology), and I was left utterly stumped as to why her Tom Nook store was like a freaking IKEA compared to my town which still had the first tier hut, Nook's Cranny lmao.
The driving part was a surprise and very relaxing, I never played Wild world, I played the gamecube one. I grew up in a bad spot like many in this world, but my games that i was allowed were my comfort. These games are still my comfort, I had an older brother who I played a lot of stuff with but one we played all the time Ultima online. My brother is gone now and I still havent went back yet. Thank you for sharing your story and comfort with us.
Incredible video. I was looking for the perfect thing to watch before going to sleep and happened to click on this, and it was exactly what I needed. I loved the bit with the drive, and great use of the animal crossing relaxing night music throughout the video. The 1 am music is my absolute favorite. Also, the part when you talked about wild world being a time machine to the 6 year old times when life was easy and things were innocent, legit almost got me to tear up. Okay this is a long comment, but I grew up with this game too, so I can totally relate. Thank you for making this.
i loved wild world. i dont hear a lotta ppl say this but i met a lot of great ppl on there, like even to this day i think abt them frm time to time bc we all shared stuff abt our lives w one another and things we wanted to do in the future. ngl tho, i ended up ghosting them bc as a kid you just end up focusing on real life more & forget about video games, but i look back and it makes me feel guilty. thats life tho ig
Wild World was magical. It was a good childhood with that game. lol I got a DS when I was around 10 or 11 and would play AC Wild World and NintenDogs religiously.
Such a nice video. Your words are so moving, and everything you say combined with the background music pushes this video over the edge in terms of quality. My fondest memories of the series belong to New Leaf. I remember being a stupid kid who didn’t know how to change the clock when I accidentally chose AM instead of PM. Every night I would stay up way too late just to get the chance to actually talk to villagers while they were awake. It made each play session special and something I almost had to earn. Those were good times. Thank you for reminding me of them. Happy holidays. ☺️
This deserve a lot more of views, i cried. Remembering at 11y, Love to meet kapp'n more deeperly. An amazing world where we're glazed by word that we did itself. It's about knowing more about what others like and be cool with the time waiting another chance of hit the baloon. Animal Crossing it's Just Life
I'll never stop playing Nintendo games with my little brother! I'm 27f and my brother is 15 and we currently play smash together but we have also played new leaf and new horizons
Wonderful video man I got very emotional several times during it. I feel the same way but with New Leaf just the simplicity of childhood that you will never get back as you realize now as an adult how great those times were. The drive scene was wonderful also wow such an insane nostalgic trip really cool idea there. Thanks for making this!
Hey. This was a really awesome video essay. I got into Animal Crossing kinda late but I fell in love with it the moment I picked up Wild World last year. After playing it for hundreds of hours it actually got me to buy a Switch and get New Horizons. Animal Crossing is legit one of the most unique and beautiful games I’ve ever played. You captured it’s charm really well with this video. Good job!
Great video! Picked up by the algorithm. Wild World was my first animal crossing game; I got it on vacation with my parents in Florida for a month and at first I didn’t “get it”, but it clicked after a few weeks and I fell in love
i played animal crossing a lot when i was younger, but as i got older i forgot the game existed until new horizons came out and i’m so glad it came out when it did because i really needed comfort through quarantine and the animal crossing games did just that for me ❤ thanks to nintendo
Im a 9 Year Old who got the Nintendo DS Lite broken like 3 Years and can relate that this game was the vibe! Money rocks, Redd or something scamming me. It was the vibe at the time that I didn't expiernce.
3:00 he also literally never expects you to pay it off. you don't NEED to upgrade it. You are free to leave your house small and never giving him a single cent.
This game was escapism for the struggles of daily life. It was a simple game. I think thats why wild world still holds up. New horizons is ok but its no wild world. In new horizons, the villagers loop more and arent unique and are waaaaaay too nice. The mechanics are waaay too complex now qnd if we ever went back to a wild world game we would find it empty. Thats why we replay wild world. Its nostalgic.
thank you so much for this video the simple editing the car part ughh it made me cry and i would so binge animal crossing rn if i didnt lend it to my sister.. time to get it back
As someone who didn't have AC as a child but grew to adore it as an adult, I can say I feel a warm fuzzy feeling about it even without having true nostalgia. I just bought a copy of wild world for my DS and it makes me feel so happy! (Wait, is it nostalgia if I'm playing it on my old DS?)
You never know what your character did before you started playing. _They_ probably chose to buy a house from Nook without having enough bells (like the Gamecube animal crossing's protagonist) and you're just painting Nook in a bad light _because_ it wasn't *you* that made this choice, it was *your character* before you took control of their life from that point onwards. I mean, Nook doesn't even charge interest! If someone like that existed irl there'd be loads of people who'd take advantage of that.
The music in animal crossing is everything! Nothing gives me more serotonine than theirs lol I'm glad your video captured the essence that well congrats :) had a blast watching your last video too! Do you have any social media?
I was in my mid 20s when this came out already moved on from games mohed out of the house and playing in a band in Philly. I did not get the nostalgia from this but I started with new horizons when it came out and I’m going back to the older games. Makes me envious of those who got to play this when it was new. Than again I was there for the original nes and snes era when it was new.
AMAZING video. ❤I was very emotional. this game is magic. It has the power to take you to another life. a better life without problems. I played New Leaf and New Horrizons. but i want to play wild world
So sad that a lot of people have on the fandom this mentally that we shouldn't look bad on older animal crossing games, because they are dated (like graphics and have less customisations opinions compared to recent titles), when older games still have a lot of charm, like to me WW was when the series peaked in terms of villagers feeling like actual people, music and even some events
i never thought about it like that, do i enjoy animal crossing because it's good or because of nostalgia? great video, was a nice watch before i go to sleep
damn it's like some1 is expressing my thoughts exactly... as the years pass the world is getting crazier it seems to me... videogames and movies are my haven these days, i've never played animal crossing but this got me intrigued, it reminded me of Harvest moon which i used to play a loooot as a kid, i loved it so much. These days i've been obsessed with the yakuza series, i played all of them hahah, currently playing like a dragon 7 and im so sad cuz im nearing the end
Ya lol, to be fair though we got a lot of the bad ones lol. I think throughout the entire time the only mainstream D.S games I got were like super Mario and wild world. You could rack up quite a few games buying off the bottom rack and ebay lol.
Ah yes, the typical Tom Nook rant, of course. I've heard it all before, so I know exactly why people are having rows about him being "bad" or "evil". The driving scene feels really out of place but it was enough for me to give this video a like. Nice work. But... I'm not that far from your age, and I've only just gotten into the game too, so you're not alone. It's funny how that happens. I can't drive but if I could I'd be driving down the empty road in the dark, no doubt thinking about Animal Crossing all the way.
Good luck finding a landlord or a mortgage lender that is as chill about payments as Tom Nook. Credit checks? Nope. Interest? None. The hate Tom Nook gets is absurd.
Hey guys! This video has been blowing up recently! If you have any interest in Halo Reach I highly recommend going and checking out my video on it. It's a lot like this video but with better editing lol. Come check it out!

Very true, finding your old Minecraft world feels the same.
This was such a sentimental and heartfelt video, I really appreciate it
Thanks! These comments mean a ton to small RUclipsrs!
I'm currently playing it again. What is it about this game that I added playing at least 1 hour a day into my routine? Haha I love it and it's weird how even if two villagers have the same personality they feel very different. Great video!
I'm playing it again as well, love how Wild World gives off a cozy charm vibe.
just started mine again too. Playing on my iphone in this day and age though
This review just....sums it up so perfectly. From the playing with your siblings, to the late-night car drives, enjoying the wonderful atmosphere ^^
As a child it just had a certain magic that the newer games just can't really capture that well, I think.
The old games had a certain charm that I think the newer games lost. I couldn't name it if I could though. Thank you so much for watching!

Tom Nook does so much for you and all you do is slander his name because he wants the money from the basically free house he gives you.
anyway i love animal crossing wild world! its my childhood game and i remember waking up early on even school days just to play a couple minutes of it! fun times. plus the characters feel so much more alive than the new games
Tom Nook is NOT a crook!

what a stunning video. I mean genuinely, this video is so gentle, heartfelt, and genuine. watching this not only brought a sense of peace, but healing. everything said is true, whether it be tom nook being a con-artist, or animal crossing as a series holding the properties of simple past, it's all right. thank you for posting this video...
8pm is my song from that game. that takes me RIGHT back to my childhood. it had a lot of phenomenal music but that's my piece
Instant classic, that's what I hear whenever I think of Wild World.
The soundtrack is unrivaled, thanks for watching!
I wish he would sell me a house lmao
Looking forward to see more of your videos :)
Thank you for telling your story with this great game. (:
This was a nice video, I feel the same way with ACCF. Reminds me of all the fun times I had with my older sister playing ACNL for hours on end, great video dude. You earned a like, and sub
Thanks man! It means a lot to us small RUclipsrs!
This literally made me so sad because that part of our lives if passed. I still have my DS with this animal crossing. Definitely will be playing it tonight
Hit me in the feels this one. I also got wild world the same Christmas as you, in 2008!
Thank you.
I'm playing this game again and I can't believe how much amused I am as I play it. This video was simply beautiful.
Not a bad video man! You talk in circles sometimes making some things mentioned a little redundant but you definitely have something here. Best of luck to your channel!
Thanks!
Shesez!
Thanks!
Seeing that others also throw this soundtrack on for those late drives is great to hear. It truly is just such a relaxing time.
It really is.
Literally some of my best childhood memories is playing animal crossing.
In my room at night before sleeping or at the back of the car while my parents were driving us home. I loved every second.
Those were the most peaceful moments
I wish I had even known about the existence of the DS as a kid, let alone Animal Crossing so I could have been able to enjoy it.
How did you not know of the second best selling console of all time? Like how is that even possible? I saw it advertised everywhere at the time!
@@troll4life662 for example in my country Playstation and Xbox are very popular and a lot of people own their consoles but Nintendo is practically non-existant and barely anyone has their consoles
@@PlatedGuy Where do you even live? Mars?
P.s: love how half of the video is you driving your car in the middle of the night lol
Thanks, playing wild world in the backseat of my parents car is a pretty core memory of my childhood.
This video is criminaly underviewed. It's so good!
In comparison to the rest of my channel it's really good haha! RUclips doesn't really like small creators who can't make a video a week lol. If you like this one though I recommend my Halo reach video. That one is my magnum opus XD.
I wish New Horizons had the same vibe as Wild World or New Leaf. The villagers and the music just hit so much differently.
I just recently bought new horizons to feel that nostalgia, but isn’t the same 😢
The newer games almost feel too polished in a way, wild world with the old graphics and classic feel just brings you back in a way.
I loved the video! :)
I started playing my old Wild World file again recently and I just LOVE it even more than I did when I got it at 8 years old. Now I am 25. Not ashamed of a minute I spend in this game.
This was honestly a really well done video, I can tell you really put thought into it hope your channel continues to grow
Thanks!
i’m from a tiny little town in north carolina but i moved out of the states 3 years ago, haven’t been back yet because of covid. the footage of the drive seriously felt so nostalgic that it was painful. can’t wait to finally see my family after this long

The theme song made me cry
6:50 silly goose, this is the 7 pm song from animal crossing new leaf, not wild world :) this was a great retrospective video. i also fondly remember playing animal crossing wild world on drives home. waking up early before school to check out the shops, loading up my town as soon as i got home. reading the villager dialogue out loud to my father as he drove me to and from sports practice. coming back from a hot summer's day outside, rushing to eat and shower the dirt off me so i could cozy up in bed and watch some summer fireworks in game. i miss those days more than anything. animal crossing will always be the most special game in the world to me.
this was such a beautifully written tribute to Wild World
thank you so much
seeing thru the years, many chars have grown too.
I’d watch an hour video of you driving around like that to animal crossing music ngl
Thanks, I was a bit worried about if people would like that part 😂
i loved wild world. i dont hear a lotta ppl say this but i met a lot of great ppl on there, like even to this day i think abt them frm time to time bc we all shared stuff abt our lives w one another and things we wanted to do in the future. ngl tho, i ended up ghosting them bc as a kid you just end up focusing on real life more & forget about video games, but i look back and it makes me feel guilty. thats life tho ig
I know how that is. I've met some really cool people that I now have lost contact with. I really wish I could hit them up now.
Wild World was magical. It was a good childhood with that game. lol I got a DS when I was around 10 or 11 and would play AC Wild World and NintenDogs religiously.
Nintendogs was an absolute classic lol!
I know I'm a little late but happy holidays! I'm so happy that my video is having such a grand affect on people! 😊
I’m so glad RUclips recommended this video to me!! It’s so amazing how games can transport you to the time when you played them for the first time.

Good job!
This hit me in the feels way more than it should have. Awesome video. Well done 💖💖
‘Raccoon Bastard’ threw me off so badly from the calm vibe of this video 😂
real shit man, i feel all that hard-core. I wish I could go back to when I first started playing, life's changed too much
Great video!
Its nostalgic.
thank you so much for this video the simple editing the car part ughh it made me cry and i would so binge animal crossing rn if i didnt lend it to my sister.. time to get it back
spot on, I liked sharing the world with my sister we've always been very close
As someone who didn't have AC as a child but grew to adore it as an adult, I can say I feel a warm fuzzy feeling about it even without having true nostalgia. I just bought a copy of wild world for my DS and it makes me feel so happy! (Wait, is it nostalgia if I'm playing it on my old DS?)
We do not tolerate Tom nook slander in this house
“Animal Crossing: Wild World” is my absolute favorite Nintendo DS game ever.
Hey thanks for watching and taking an interest in my channel! I have a Twitter and an Instagram that I will link in my about section! (:
how beautiful video... So much nostalgia :,3
Animal crossing is awesome. I still play the 3ds game and switch ones and all the past games today!
That original nes and snes era would've been wild to live through. When I first got into games it was the era of the GameCube.

Absolute melodic big brain wisdoms from Mr Mguire
So sad that a lot of people have on the fandom this mentally that we shouldn't look bad on older animal crossing games, because they are dated (like graphics and have less customisations opinions compared to recent titles), when older games still have a lot of charm, like to me WW was when the series peaked in terms of villagers feeling like actual people, music and even some events
This was my first AC
i never thought about it like that, do i enjoy animal crossing because it's good or because of nostalgia? great video, was a nice watch before i go to sleep

damn it's like some1 is expressing my thoughts exactly... as the years pass the world is getting crazier it seems to me... videogames and movies are my haven these days, i've never played animal crossing but this got me intrigued, it reminded me of Harvest moon which i used to play a loooot as a kid, i loved it so much.
Oh my goodness I didn’t know new leafs soundtrack would hit this hard already. Has it really already been 10 years?
I can't believe it's been that long either.
I just started the game but thanks for showing me the magic
Good luck finding a landlord or a mortgage lender that is as chill about payments as Tom Nook. Credit checks? Nope. Interest? None. The hate Tom Nook gets is absurd.
