Always love coming here to get inspiration for my weight loss journey from someone I actually trust. Keep up the good work Autumn, we really appreciate your knowledge and advice. 😊😊
Oh Autumn, I could not appreciate you more! I am SO grateful for the place you have in my life! Thank you so much for all of your hard work and spot on content!! Have a great weekend!! :)
Perfect timing. Keep these ideas coming or sneak a recipe everytime you put new content out. The struggle is real for these next 6 months Fall then winter 😭. Thanks for all the help!
Thank you Autumn! I’m wondering if I can make a video request? I would love to see a video on simplifying my kitchen. By that I mean how to buy less groceries and keep my fridge and kitchen stocked but not stuffed. I always wind up with extra things, often for my kids, that end up being not used or sitting around for ages. Thanks in advance for any help.
I've never been able to drink coffee straight black until 3 months ago. In doing that, I've finally gotten 1/2 way to my weight loss goal🤗 GREAT INFO 👍
Same for me, 20 year coffee ☕️ drinker here👋 Never thought I could stomach black coffee, on my 3rd week of black coffee, I love it ☺️ plus it’s so quick just pour your mug and go, no more cream!
Hi Autumn, new subscriber here! I' m not into IF but I'm going to read as much articles as possible to get all the info (anesthesiologist here). What I want to tell you is that, since I am an active person (running-swimming- walking up and down on the hospital wards😄etc) I already was pretty focused on having an healthy diet, but recently I started eating with more attention to protein intake and reducing the amount of carbs, thanks to your videos: I honestly feel wayyy less bloated and I feel full of energy. So...thank you!!!! Greetings from Italy
I found a bakery that will make sweets for your specific health goals. We don't celebrate holidays but around the holidays there is so much temptation just walking through stores. Though dirty keto isn't optimal I rather gain 5 pounds this winter from keto junk foods than 30 lbs from the standard high surgery and carby sweets. Tomorrow we are picking up 2 dozen keto cupcakes for a gathering with my husband's family.
Just bought Kettle & Fire. I have been using Trader Joes or Pacific. Excited to try this. Can you talk more in another vieo about grains? I thought eating quinoa, farro or brown rice was really good for you but I think you mentioned in a video that quinoa can spike insulin. Would love to hear more about this. Thanks Autumn. Amazing information here
These are great tips! I love getting the creative juices flowing for the ideas of subbing high quality fats for grains, BUT with grains in moderation! I love getting the benefit of the restistant starches from cold pasta, in like-manner of pasta-salads {high quality ingredients, with olive oil, sea salt, fresh protein, vegetables}, also love getting the benefit of the betaglucans from oatmeal {for insulin sensitivity, while creating a resistance starch} from the oats, BUT eating them frozen, with fruit {even just a few frozen grapes for the resveratrol, natural sweetness, flaxseeds or chia. Honestly, I have often felt sleepy eating oatmeal warm, if you're looking to get the benefit, plus it truly is refreshing! Even got my Dad onto frozen oatmeal {he has not been an avid warm-oatmeal eater only for decades, no changes, and he loves it frozen!} Almost an oatmeal icecreamish texture, flavor!
I picked up some Monk fruit but it says it has sugar alcohols in it. Is that OK during a fast? Front of the package said zero net carbs so I thought I was good
Thanks Kim! Regarding food sensitivity testing, I've not found a *ton* of use for them. For many of my clients that get food sensitivity testing done, the results often come back as being sensitivity to nearly every food (although they don't have issues with most). There are some specific use cases for food sensitivity testing, but unless you have a specific concern, I've not found them to be terribly useful.
Thank you again for all of your great tips and recipe ideas! You probably get this question a lot, but do you know approximately when you’ll be shipping your protein powder to Canada?
You're very welcome! Regarding shipping to Canada, we're currently working on getting this set up! :) If you haven't already, I recommend subscribing to my free weekly newsletter. This is where I send updates, such as information regarding international shipping! You can find it here: www.autumnellenutrition.com/subscribe
ahhhh! We're actually JUST NOW experiencing a weird heat wave as well. Not quite 100, but it's supposed to get into the low 90's! So odd, because last week the temperature was REALLY starting to drop!
I've shared my bone broth recipe in the past! I also have it in my Level Up Guide. If you have the time to make your own bone broth, that's awesome! Otherwise, Kettle & Fire is a fantastic high quality convenience option.
🙌🙌 you bet I will test your chocolate whey out when I make hot cocoa !! Genius idea! Always wanted a much healthier alternative! Also, I tend to stick with ground beef or flat iron steak so looking forward to trying stew and brisket meals. Gotta make pancakes sometime as well 🍁🍂. Thanks !!!
😁you are right down the road from my best friend in Redondo. We love to visit. But could not live there. We will be visiting in April on the way back from a 14 day Hawaii cruise.
I am not on the ketogenic path yet I use intermittent fasting, I can guarantee you I prefer zucchini pasta and cauliflower rice compared to the original ones. I am not gluten intolerant yet whenever I've had typical pasta or rice, I get bloated so even when I happen to consume these I opt for brown rice and whole wheat flour pasta ( I'd still wish to try chickpea pasta as well ). Cinnamon is one of my favorite spices no matter the season :).
Will try to add all these to combat food fatigue. I love cinnamon. Thank you for all the details regarding the glycemic index and the beneficial effects of the foods you suggest. This video is full of information, so helpful. The hot chocolate with your protein powder looks delish! Love this video! Thank you Autumn 🙏👍😘🇨🇦
Hi Daniel! We're working on international shipping soon! But I recommend subscribing to my free weekly newsletter in the meantime. This is where we send updates on things like international shipping: www.autumnellenutrition.com/subscribe
Minus the coffee and hot chocolate, this was pretty much my diet for three years trying to get diabetes under control. I was eating 5 small meals a day with some meat and lots of the veg you showed ( even sneaking in potatoes now and again just because they are delicious ) and it worked very well to lose belly fat, in fact, probably the best diet I ever used for that purpose. It also controlled blood sugar well when you stuck it and did not cheat. The downside for me was not enough protein, mostly because I was still under the meat is bad for you mantra, and it did not work to stop cravings for sweets or kidney stones ( Oxalates and lack of protein ). After my experience, I would say absolutely prioritize the protein, but watch out for Oxalates if you have issues with Metabolic Syndrome. I will never eat Almond flour again, nor potatoes either, most likely. Never want another bout of kidney stones... :(
Thanks for a great video! How do you get your hair so smooth? I live in South Louisiana; frizz city! Lol May Jesus continue to bless you and your family
Hi Autumn..I'd like to raise this concern..I've been on keto/LC diet for months now and I discovered this big bald spot around the area behind my left ear..Could this be the effect of my diet? I've read articles of the dangers of doing keto and it includes hairfall due to not getting the right nutrition the body needs. Hope you can tackle this on your future vlogs. Thank you..
There are concerns with not getting enough protein - that's one of the main nutritionally issues with hair loss. I have a video on calculating protein needs that you can checkout here: ruclips.net/video/VSCpOuLzTmc/видео.html
could be low iodine, which in turn causes lotta miserable stuff .. iodine critical for thyroid function and thyroid function critical for all the rest of endocrine system. so many other possibilities .. low carb is good but, in addition to high quality fats and proteins, we need the nutrients supplied by bright colored fruits and veggies .. leafy greens .. red, blue, orange, yellow, purple .. avoid the starchy for the most part, but now and then a buttered sweet or russet potato with skin is nutrient rich; now and then some whole-grain brown rice okay; avoid stressors as much as able, get plenty good sleep, read God's Word and offer up prayers with thanks giving .. in everything give thanks ❣It can help to keep food diary to determine any food that causes problem.
Lactose is very low in heavy cream! It's nearly pure fat. However, depending on the amount of heavy cream used, it can start to add up. This is why I recommend sticking to 1 Tbsp. of heavy cream in coffee.
Can you address excess, post menopausal, belly fat distribution/accumulation, in the absence of insulin resistance (confirmed by insulin levels and c-peptide testing)? Thanks
