nyc is very isolating sometimes and i totally get how you, as an influencer who is mostly WFH, can feel alienated. maybe you could spend some of your free time volunteering or joining a club/organization in the city where you can meet other people who aren't in the industry and do things you're interested in! ofc a co-working space is also always a good option
i think it's important to find other interests/hobbies that aren't related to your influencer career which ik must be hard given that u share a lot of ur life for a living, but still, try to find other passions to dedicate some time too!
i think u mentioned in ur ig story that ur traveling alone later this spring and i also would say that going on a solo trip is great for finding urself, finding a new purpose, finding new passions. as important as it is to make friends and have a sense of community, u have to find/understand urself before trying to find others/a community!

I dealt with gut issues for years until I finally figured out that I just wasn’t eating enough. After a year of properly fueling my body, my gut issues have virtually disappeared! (Not saying this is your case, just wanted to share in case it helps someone else). Good luck I know dealing with gut issues or any source of discomfort can be frustrating...
This is so helpful, I’ve dealt with gut issues my whole life, I was the skinny bloated kid. I know how to eat to avoid feeling pain and being bloated but It always got WORSE when on a plane like TERRIBLE so I avoided eating beforehand to “make it better “ , recently I did the whole opposite grabbed a big good healthy meal kind of by accident and I was perfect the whole flight, so the fact that you mention this makes me wonder, this could definitely be me… not eating enough can be a cause 😮 I know this is silly but 😅 😯😯😯

I think as a creator its totally normal to have slumps here and there. I think theyre signs that something inside us is missing or we possibly need to switch environments. I think going back home will help you see things differently and feel better🧡

i couldn’t relate to anything more. i run a business from home i am always at home and i hardly ever get out to socialize being that pretty much all my friends are away at college. i only get out to hangout w friends about once every 3 weeks and it can feel very isolating. i’ve been trying to figure out what else i can do to make me feel more satisfied and fulfilled.

definitely go to less events if you think that is good for you but, (here is my unsolicited opinion) I think you should try ro care less about "fitting In" at events, or doubting whether you're "good enough"... because like good enough compared to who? Like why compare yourself to other people? What good will that do you? You as an individual are great enough, on your own. Plus you have friends who love you, like Micheal & your family, like your grandpa. It only matters whether you fit in with the people who love you for you (your friends & family), not the people who don't know you at all. You've gotta try to not let other people's opinions of you dictate your behavior. You're living for You, LOVE! (I say all this with Love, not judgement, just want you to help you feel better
