This song is amazing and so underrated. I recommend you check out House of eternal hunt (also live from Ages) and Let it burn, those are some of his best live vocal performances in my opinion :)
I'm biased because I really love this band but there's just something different about seeing their live performances vs their music videos. Even their songs I don't normally love (honestly, Bloody Angel being one of them), I'm all in when I go to their concerts. I may have gotten lucky because I "discovered" them when I happened to see their set at a festival rather than just hearing them first. Just my opinion though. Also, that thing you saw was a gas can, it's what Johannes drinks water from on stage 😂
Later on i saw that gas can,but i would NEVER guess, that it's just a bit extreme water bottle for Johannes :D Stylish! And yeah,sometimes songs that don't excite me through their studio versions,can still blow me away live!

I love this song live, he dips into kind of an early Marilyn Manson-ish aesthetic in terms of physical performance. the twisting, convulsing, crumpling in on himself on the stage, it's perfect for the extremely raw, agonized vocals in the second verse. You asked what Johannes CAN'T do.... Well, he does struggle with very low clean notes, I've noticed. If you listen to "So Sang The Hallow", you'll hear him really strain and reach for a low note during the verses, and it doesn't sound great. "Tower" also goes dangerously low at times, and again you can tell it's a bit of a struggle. also the thing in the background is a plastic gasoline/petrol jug, lol. He keeps water in it and drinks out of it during guitar solos and between songs. he

Some constructive criticism. Check the audio balance before publishing please. It’s hard to hear the music if your voice is not totally going to dominate the entire room. Your voice is way to high volume compare to the video. Very good reaction otherwise.
