I’m so glad it’s helpful!
So how do I make a business name if I’m not selling food?
Hy
Do u have another link for applying a licence street trading because the council has tacking sooo long? 😒
No sorry, try calling them to chase :)
Do I need to charge vat or Shopify will charge the customers if not earning 85k and I am not registered for vat how does that works ? I am so confused please help ❤me
No you don’t need to charge vat. You just do a tax return to show your earnings and spending x
Thank you So customers will be charged the vat - customs at the destination country? Do Shopify charge me vat fee as a seller or not ?
@@manospapa6526 I don’t use shopify but Etsy adds charges depending on the location but you don’t have to add anything. You just say your price and it will add any fees etc on the customers side.
@@Sweetthingsbyamythank you so much I am planning to start with etsy to attract more customers then use the site more at some point but thank you for all the informations helped a lot
Can i register if i am not sure how much i will be making yet, it might be less than a 1000 a month at first but as it grows will make more
Yes I’d register anyway to avoid delays, the 1000 register advice if £1000 per year so if you are over that you need to register x
Thanks a lot Amy. So many things are cleared by your video. I subscribed your channel and pressed bell icon 🛎️🛎️😊😊
Thank you!!
Is this form only for food business? If its for example just a cleaning services do you just applly for utr number and thats it? No registration forms like trading name etc?
It’s for any self employed business, so you fill it out with the relevant details 👍🏼
In your earlier vids you mentioned you were registering your business as a company, what made you decide in the end to be a sole trader?
Hey! I think that might be a miscommunication I’ve always been a sole trader/self employed since I registered over a year ago but I always said I’d change it if I expanded. I think company’s are mainly for people starting shops with employees as a one person business I didn’t see much point in being a company, the rates/way paying yourself works and everything being in the company’s name opposed to yours are the main differences 👍🏼
What is the difference between registering as a company or being a sole trader? In both ways, I make the food myself?
Hello Sweetheart thank you so much for this info, means a lot.
I just wanted help to understand something if you can help.
At what stage should you registre your business? Lets say reselling bags, etc..
do you have to registre it before standing a business, after 1year or ? When is the best day to register your business?
And also in order to have a business bank account , You need to register your business first?
I am asking on sole trade ofcoz.
Should u register before launching? After a year etc..
How does it go?
Thx wo much
Hi love did you see my question?
According to HMRC you should be registering as soon as you make a profit/over the tax bracket. That's why I would recommend registering at the beginning. :)
How long does it takes before they accept your request?
Usually a few days :)
Hi Amy,
Thanks for the information. What is the situation if a person who already having a NI number and planning to start a small new business here??
Thank you
Thanks
Hello, everyone should have an ni number so I don’t believe this shouldn’t affect the process. As I have one it should be the same as explained in the video 👍🏼
@@Sweetthingsbyamy Thank you and Is the self assessment relevant for the people starting a business at a first time who are not self-employed before.
amazing vidoe i enjoy
Dear Amy, I am starting a food business. So am I a sole trader? Do I need to do what toy did in the video?
Yes i usually say if you're the only employee sole trader is best :)
how i can apply for a sole trader if i am not doing it yet? i just register for SA1 form?
Thank you for uploading the video
It's my pleasure
All I’m trying to do is register a garden maintenance sole trader why’s it so hard 😭
Thanks so much l new in business
👍🏼
I've a question, Can we registered as Self Employment UK as a foreigner?
Hi Amy, thanks for doing a video on this. Really helps make things less complicated for me.
With your food business, did an agent inspect your whole house or just kitchen to give you a rating? was it also planned or a random inspection?
Just kitchen, home inspections have to be booked in as it’s your home they can’t just turn up.
There’s a video on inspections in my paperwork playlist 👍🏼
will the NiN be the same?
Nin? National insurance number? If so yes
Till 1000£ i dont need to register ?
Register for tax** you are meant to register for a food business when you start selling. But other businesses register for tax returns once they hit £1000 earnings - this includes any other jobs you have
Also It is when you take £1000 not when you make £1000 profit so that is anything buyers pay you including what they pay for P&P before you take off expenses. It doesn't mean you will pay any tax just that you have to register and do a tax return. Until recently it was as soon as you started trading even before you had taken any money.
