    Through, informative review, thxs. As a Gen1 Lanshan 2 owner, I’ve been on the ‘hunt’ for a free-standing, 3 season tent. I can see this tent as a great addition when i don’t, or can’t use my ‘mid’, or trekking pole style tents.

    That is a pretty cool looking two person tent. I just took my two oldest backpacking to Kinglet Lake here in Alberta and although it is only about a 16km round trip it is about 2800 foot rise from the trailhead. I took my French Army F2 tent on that run to accommodate them and it worked pretty well, although it needs a few pegs to hold it in position! Something like this wouldn't have been bad either.

    • @Lonewolfwildcamping
      @Lonewolfwildcamping  2 года назад +1

      Awsome, this tent is a bit more suited for the hike

    • @turtlewolfpack6061
      @turtlewolfpack6061 2 года назад

      @@Lonewolfwildcamping at about 4lbs the French tent isn't too bad, if my trekking poles had two adjustments I could have left the poles at home and saved some weight but my oldest boy carried those so that helped. The old design actually isn't that bad of a packing tent, for old style single wall technology.

    it seems, this i a simple and light tent, fast errected, without fiddling poles through a tube...setting up the tent in short time and putting it down without the inner tent gets wet. ...what is miss are tie outs für securing the tent in strong winds...ok...with a little bit line and stakes, its made in a few minutes by myself Nice tent! Thanks for your work!!! Hans...ps.. sorry, my english is not the best .... :-)

    If you had the choice to bring a light weight tent in the snow , would it be this one or the Mongar ? Im looking for a tent for all seasons thats not heavy. Id like to know if these tents although they dont have a skirt, if they at least sinch tight in the canopy so that cold air is not so much seeping in from below in the winter.
