For those wondering, the reason for the big shift in territorial divide at 9:28 is Turkey joining the war in support of GNA. Supposedly, they want control of Libya because they need an ally on the Mediterranean Sea who can help them expand their economic zone, thus gaining more access to oil reserves. So far, Greece, Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Italy and France have shown strong opposition to this tactic and even made an agreement to build an oil pipeline in the sea that Turkey won't be able to use. Also, Egypt actively supports the House of Representatives in the civil war and some unconfirmed sources claim that France is providing weapons for them too.

US can do this and do that bla bla bla. The only thing US can do successfully is to penetrate in a community covertly, brainwash people, create chaos and fights among people then arm its paid mercenaries to keep the chaos going until a country falls then enter the country as their saviour and start looting oil and natural resources. US cant fight a proper war. Face to face will always end like taliban vs us. History has not neen kind to corrupt nations like america.

Tbh, I dont think it's getting much better for the muslim world in general. Not only are they already weak in comparison to the western and eastern world powers, their primary resource that they can exploit (oil, obviously) is only decreasing in its value, and by the time they get their ---- together is likely to have lost its overall strategic value. They simply lack the resources or population to compete in the modern world.
It's telling when if every single arab nation in existence came together, it would only *rival* the US, and that's in population. (And I'm talking full caliphate size, incorporating the Maghreb regions in north africa and pretty much the entire middle east save iran and turkey)
And when I look at its history...I have a hard time even feeling sorry for its position. The Muslim world as a whole seems to be one long string of empires completely ----ing over their own primacy by screwing over their non-muslim populations, causing them to fall apart or making way too many enemies, or being run by isolationist morons who think theyre so superior europe will never catch up. (mughals, ottomans, every single iteration of Persia, etc, etc, etc)
Its...astounding how much the muslim world ----ed itself historically.
Then again, Europe is one to talk with the world wars and breaking Austria-hungary up, so eh.

I wouldnt say religion, as the west was religious as ---- even into the 1800s. It comes down to complacency tbh, and now? Denial. I mean what people who were a part of some of the greatest empires in human history do in response to suddenly being completely irrelevant on the world stage?
Like seriously I've had debates with an Iranian who unironically thinks Iran could invade Israel (a *nuclear power*) and not lose in such a catastrophic way we're lucky if it doesnt cause ww3.
And for what? Some irrelevant strip of Mediterranean land that has no strategic significance save to western powers for protection?
      It's utter lunacy.
(The US aint better, half of us still think we're the sole superpower and think free trade will somehow keep down nations with massive advantages in both resources and manpower)
But then again, it's less vital for the US.

The Sahara desert is one of the least populated regions on earth, and besides few groups like the Sahrawis in the west, the Tuareg, Mauritanians and few others, the desert, especially inland, has very few pernament settlements. Definitely not enough for establishing a stable country, which is why the Sahrawi Arab Republic lost control over most of their land and remain in such close ties to Algieria, mostly because it's really hard to control so much territory with so few people and resources.

I love how LNA supporters claim they just "withdraw" from the western front. Who followed the war at the time knows that it was a total dissolution of the front and LNA fighters completely routed with little to no resistance. They were only able to reorganize 400 km east. It was not a defeat for Haftar because GNA wasn't able to push till Benghazi with little to no manpower they had? What is more funny? Their weak propaganda or their incompetence?
