The crazy thing is this is early on day one and nothing from tourniquet looked close to optimised. Still absolutely melted Ryu's life bar though.
Think how much more scary it's gonna be once people have had more time with the character.

Marisa is kinda a hybrid of Alex and Abigail and Hugo, minus the command grabs. Every thing just hits super hard and all her raw attacks does big bursts of damage. Your neutral has to be on point against her or else you gonna keep getting whacked all day long. Parrying and throwing is definitely going to be key against her in most matchups unless it's a keep away character like Sim, JP, and Guile. Jump ins seem to work against her as I don't think she has a solid anti air button which will imo become a major weakness of hers.

People talking about her damage when she looks kinda weak overall. Sure she hits hard but from that first match all her attempts to pressure were easy to parry, even her guard break (especially that). I’m wondering how people who main her are gonna deal with that.

So torn on Marisa. She looks right up my alley on playstyle but a hardpass on design.
Her damage is crazy but her overall kit for pressure is weak. She obviously struggles against projectiles. I still want to main her but hopefully it isnt as hard as what im expecting. Overall game is fucking amazing. Im slowly removing myself from competitive play style cause I gst pretty heated at moments so Modern control allows me to just turn my brain off. 👌👌

What is Marisa's anti air and reversal option? The defense was pretty lacking it seems.
EX Superman Punch is both armored and armor breaking. She also has a parry stance that has some canned mixup followups. Though this player kinda just spammed Gladius

I was labbing her last night, her uppercut special is invincible to antiairs and all of her charged attacks have high/overhead hyper armour so you can just eat the jump-in and retaliate.

JustFog is playing very good this early.
You can see quite a lot of glaring flaws and unfamiliarity in his gameplay, and he compensates with throws. Nothing compared to these crack players that's for sure 😂
