You know what I’ve learned to love most about your channel? You are just so real and not bothered by what anybody else thinks about you and the way that you take care of your family, and that really motivates me for my future with my children.
I do most of the cooking in our house, my wife doesn't care to cook, anyway I think what I like is the simplicity of the dishes you make, and brand names aren't the issue, thank you
My mom is amazing, but she never really cooked growing up. It's not a bad thing, but I just never learned those skills. Over the past 2.5 years of watching your videos, you feel like my second mom in a way!🥰
I stopped buying taco seasoning packets a few years ago and make my own and save it in an empty cleaned out Parmesan cheese shaker container. Most stocked pantries have the individual ingredients already on hand. I use a recipe from all recipes for exact measurements. Way cheaper and now easier. I do the same for fajita seasonings and enchilada sauce. Allrecipes!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does this! + those green parmesan cheese shaker twist caps are AMAZING. I always save them because they twist right onto Mason jars for easy peasy use.
Love your content! You’re so comforting to me when I watch. I’ve lost both my parents and even though we aren’t crazy dissimilar in age (maybe 10-15 years), it just feels like advice my mom would share and it makes me so happy ❤️. Thank you for doing what you do.
I'm currently making a version of the creole chicken inspired by this video! Its slightly different because I'm using ingredients already in my pantry/freezer. Spicy vegetable broth. Frozen pepper and onion blend. Canned pre-seasoned pinto beans. Canned tomatoes with jalapeños and green chilies in them. Used a mix of Tony and zatarains creole for seasoning. And lastly I added some cut up smoked sausage. Fingers crossed it comes out good! 🤞
Crockpot meals are the best! I’m making so many more right now. Some soups, some nice chicken dinners, etc. maybe I’ll make a video of them. I love these ideas Christine! ❤
My Dear, I´m watching your channel for more than an year, but i never subscribed because o mosthly watch in my living room in my smart tv thru my husband account. I really want to thank you for taking your time and do very good videos. Because of you i learned about crockpot and i have one now for almost one year. My live is so much easier now. i leave all ready in the crockpot and my husbank use to plug in, and we have nice dinner for less effort and don´t have to run to cook dinner for the family. my life is so much easier now. Lots of kisses from Portugal
Gonna print up the recipes. Thank you. At 11:55, you said "Low for 3 to 4 hours or High for 6 to 8 hours". But I got what you meant. Thank you again. You're the best.
I was watching some of your old videos and came across one where your mum was telling us what she's been watching and 'somewhere to call home' was on her list, started watching it and love it so please thank her for her recommendation 😊
Christine. Do the Mississippi pot roast and use the shredded beef in grilled cheeses. We used buttermilk bread and Muenster cheese and used mayo to sear instead of butter and it is a GAME CHANGER! Please try it some time and tell me how delicious it is because it IS SO GOOD
I love making sausage and potatoes in the slow cooker. I always sauté the sausage first with some onions and garlic for extra flavor and deglaze the pan and then add it to the potatoes.
I like all your videos but your cooking vids are my favorite.😊 I will try some of the beef crock pot meals cuz I have a lot of frozen beef to use up. Thanks for the yummy ideas
I don’t know how long you lived in Texas but you always make me laugh. The made up words and sayings is something we all do in my family. Keep being real sister!
When I have whole tomatoes rather than diced, I use scissors to cut up the the tomatoes while still in the can. To me easier than trying to cut them later.
A small tip we use here for making a stew (like your round steak recepy): put in a slice of bread with mustard (like Dijon), it wil give depth in taste and thicken the sauce. Would only do this with beef, not chicken
If you have time and energy I recommend browning the meat on the outside before putting them in the crock pot! Really makes it more flavorful and juicy in my opinion.
Love the fact that you take the time to scrape out every bit of the ingredients into your pot. I watch some RUclipsrs and it makes me cringe when I see that there's still ingredients in the cans/jars. Especially when prices are what they are now. I'm a scrape every bit I can out person.. 😂 my son actually makes fun of me for it..
@@mrskimmieg I don't have an actual recipe but I can tell you what I did. I had 5 frozen hamburger patties, browned them on both sides, then put them in the crock pot on low and covered them with around a 1/4 cup of pizza sauce and topped with colby jack & cheddar cheese. Then I made a box of mac and cheese and added extra cheese in it and put it on top of the burgers and drizzled the top of the mac and cheese with the remaining 1/4 c pizza sauce, added a handful more of cheese and let it stay on low for a few hours. When I make it again, I'll just do a pound of hamburger, drain it and add the sauce and combine the mac and cheese with it. The flavors went well together and I think that would be good. But haven't done that yet. edit: when a saw a couple of hours, it was probably 4. The hamburgers were done and juicy but not hard as a rock, lol.
@@mrskimmieg Hope your family likes it. Sorry I couldn't be more precise, it was a "what can I do with this half container of pizza sauce" thing. My family really liked it.
FYI, as an Italian, I can tell you that the plural of tortellini is tortellini. No S on the end! Thanks so much for these ideas I plan to try all of them!
think i must have mis-heard the wings timing -- low for 3-4 or high for 6-8 hours. Not a fan of wings, but love the rest of it, and the sauce for the wings...that might go nice with some little riblets that i have in the freezer. is before breakfast too soon to be thinking about dinner? thank you for the pdf too, have a lovely weekend :)
Glad to see you use a liner on the crook pot....my wife goes bananas if I use one..."I can taste the plastic....really, I can taste it!" ugh! I cant taste it....I think its physiological! Thanks for recipes!
I think any oven-safe pot with a lid would do. Gotta watch out for the handles - they are the most likely to not be oven-safe. You could probably use a casserole dish with a lid, it would just be shaped a little funny. Without a lid, it will just have a less crusty crust I think. Not a big problem, just different. You can put a container of water alongside it in the oven and that will up your crustiness without a lid.
Bay leaves don't add any flavor. They are only used in beef and pork recipes to add lauric acid which reacts with the fat. You can leave them out if you use chicken or turkey.

I second that 💗💗💗

I like the way you switched the cooking times on the wings; L 3-4 hrs and H 6-8 hrs. 😅 Keeping us on our toes. Have a great weekend!
Oops!
I was sooo confused tooo, thanks for clarifying 😊, love your videos

Whisking the gravy with an electric hand mixer beater - I love it! Use what you have in hand. Love you channel!

The taco meat loaf is really good! The recipe is juicy and flavorful.
I always use slow cooker liner bags. Saves on the soaking and scrubbing.

I've always wondered why it's always upside down (but never enough to actually Google it) so I'm glad I saw this comment!
@@stillsimplystephanie I’m full of Seinfeld knowledge 😝 glad I could help!!

We made the potato poblano and ham meal. It was soo good and super easy. Making this at least two times a week. All the family members loved the meal.

That taco meatloaf! But I'd top it with salsa!
The first crockpot recipe you can add some fresh baby spinach to that also, just a suggestion;😊
How is the corn chip texture in the meatloaf?
try using potato starch instead of corn starch... much better
Creole chicken- did you add better than boullion? I see it in the picture but it wasn’t mentioned

Hello 👋 🎃
Only FFM uses spicy sausage AND crushed red pepper flakes, lol. Flame that metabolism, flame it.
There's an error in the chicken wing cook times - you said low for 3-4 hours or high for 6-8 hours
Every time you said “lid on” I thought of Gordon Ramsay 😂
