When we're talking about "screws getting loose", the more accurate terminology would be "This is the point where Amy truly snaps" or "This is the point where Amy finally loses it". What you are thinking of is when someone's "Screws are loose', which is exactly what you think it means, but no one says "screws are getting loose". You'd say they're "losing their minds", "losing it" or "lost the plot", things like that. 5. When addressing something as "pretty pretty graphic", the better, clearer alternative that makes more sense would be "VERY very graphic" or "pretty graphic" or even "very graphic". 6. When it's pointed out with something that "truly snaps again", I'd again address it with what I wrote at number 4. I hope this didn't come across as snobby or rude in any way.
