- Dear friends, to have such unique and different colored noodles, I had to go through many steps. From preparing the ingredients, soaking the rice overnight with natural colored water. After that, go to the place where dried vermicelli is made. Here, people will grind rice into flour, then pour it into a machine that mixes rice flour with water and cooking oil. Next, people will put rice flour into another machine, and immediately long, straight vermicelli fibers with unique colors are slowly created. Very attractive, right? Where I live, near Seattle in the USA, we don't have any service like this that I know of. Thank you for showing us how you make vermicelli rice noodles in your area! My mother and sister both have celiac disease, so they cannot have gluten, which means they cannot eat regular wheat-flour noodles. My sister was diagnosed only a few years ago, but my mother has had to live wheat-free since 1991, back when people didn't know what "gluten free" meant. Luckily, we have a large Asian population in our region, so we were able to get rice flour and other wheat-free ingredients from grocery stores. We could also dine at Thai restaurants, where my mother knew she could be guaranteed wheat-free foods, as well as non-wheat options at Mexican restaurants.
I know some people have complained about "the Gluten Free craziness" in pre-made foods, but I am simply grateful that my mother and sister can have such a wide variety of foods to eat these days. Before GF became a "diet fad" it was very difficult for my mother to eat out at restaurants, and we got very good at reading ingredients labels...but I don't remember ever finding rice noodles this colorful!

One pointer though: The heat from freshly cooked food will cause leaking of microplastics into the food. So, it's best to store cooled down food when using plastic containers.
