to me she is next level. Seriously, aside all the trickie parts and her beautiful voice, just take a look at her harmonics! They're so clean and fancy.
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I HAVE EVER HEARD. PERIOD.
Azoth 666 go on her bandcamp and listen to the live version she does, it's stunning
Absolute progressive masterpiece in my opinion
PERIODDDDDDD :3
If you like this group as much as I do, may I please suggest you listen to a band named Delta Sleep. I suggest you look up their album "Ghost City", and I know it sounds weird but you should listen to the last song first and listen to the whole album backwards because in my opinion the songs will get better and better that way. They have many songs where the music / guitar sounds exactly like this group. You just have to give them a chance and listen to the whole album. I believe you will love it though if you loved this album. If you like them, I suggest listening to their album called twin galaxies next. Then I believe you will be hooked and then you will look at their other albums and find all of the music that sounds just like this group. Give it a shot, I swear you won't be disappointed. A little more upbeat but a lot of the same elements.

There were so many emotions trapped inside me... This is so beautiful, it made them all pour out!.. Loved this! Thanks Yvette
I swear she's some mysterious goddess... her voice and perspective are like water.
I've listened to this album at least 50 times
Kipp Sappier same lol
Kipp Sappier same here
I am familiar with the problem. The solution is to listen to it fifty more times to round it out to one hundred.
It's about 200 times for me at least
I listen to this every night as I'm winding down to fall asleep And then I hear it in my dreams
Been thousands at this point
Instrumentation, lyrics, vocals and production on this album are simply gorgeous. This album became one of my all time favorites on my first listen.
This makes me incredibly sad and nostalgic, but I still love it..
This is so heavenly overwhelming. Almost feels like I can't breathe and I'm as light as air. Thank you so much, Yvette.
Jesus Yvette is super talented . I just discovered her band a couple day’s ago
This is one of the most emotional albums I've ever heard

One of the most beautiful pieces of art/music I have ever heard in my life. Listened to this album like 10 times now.
it looks like two people accidentally. disliked it
I really love youtube. With out it I would have got to hear her. She is a must for everybody. Her guitar work is beautiful and her voice is very angelic.
Estoy muy agradecido por esta clase de música :)
So do i! Digo, yo también!
This inspired me to write music again. Thank you
she's the guitarist of covet now. she's a damn god on that guitar. interesting to find her old work here, and she does full vocals. that album art is also her own no doubt.
trying to play this in the background while reading a book, but she`s grabbing my full attention
I absolutely adored this. I'm currently sitting waiting to board a plane and I'm terrified of flying. This put me at ease :) thank you so much
I liked this before it even began playing.. Yvette
mermaid brought a tear to my eyes!!

Gracias por enseñarnos, que aun hay grandes artistas y no estan tras grandes corporaciones.

Monsters Incorporation
I never noticed what the album cover was. that's so sad. did she paint it? I noticed it before but I wonder why I said "nauh that's not whats happening".
the begining of the first song remind me of goodbye by toe it's wonderfull!
two moons is probably more related
This is some true, down to the bones “bury me in the dirt of my homeland” shit.
Love y’all, hope this plays at my funeral.
This has to be one of the most macabre album/eps I have ever heard and Incredible musical accompaniment to boot.
Why am I just finding this?
does anyone know if there are any other music like this?
a technical acoustic masterpiece?
Check out Nulberry
Oh wow, thank you so much for uploading this, such a brilliant find, cant wait to get the album.
Ciian Thornhiil Just one dollar.
Lo más lindo de nuestra relacion es que me allas enseñado esta música.
This is HEAVEN. Thank you. This will take me to my core.
This is gorgeous.
Well done Yvette, you use the guitar, your voice, and violin to creatively touch our emotions in peaceful places. You are an oasis during a confusing and difficult time. May God increase your ability, audience, and audacity to play something non-pop, yet so damn beautiful! Your playing touches my soul peacefully and joyfully.
I am listening to this at work. When I get home I will be visiting Bandcamp for sure.
Damn I have been a fan for so long but I have never heard the start of this EP its so damn good. Its... my life...
absolute virtuoso! I dislike the mathy moniker though, its now just seems to describe anything that doesn't fit traditional genres and is complex. The most mathy of all genres is classical, the original math. While this is not strictly classical it has the same scope of idea and is magnificent, what a talent! She takes guitar playing to a new realm in my eyes anyway. She is able to trace her imagination straight onto the guitar with no loss of original intent or emotional impact. Most of the rest of us have to adapt our ideas to our playing ability, style etc. Yvette has no such issues. Transcendental! x
polobolopolo classical isnt nearly as mathy as most jazz. classical is complex but not not sporadically so like jazz.
I think that the fact that you guys didn't really distinguish between classical styles might mean that both of you aren't very familiar with the specifics. Not trying to be disrespectful, but polobolopolo's point holds up perfectly fine if you're talking about Stravinsky (e.g.), but not Beethoven, for instance. Harmonically, this music sounds closer to someone like Erik Satie. Yeah there is some modern Jazz that has similar elements to math rock, but I'd say they all draw from the same (very broad/diverse) pool in the end. Anyway, let's just enjoy it. Who really cares what people call music.
"You are nothing?" Quite the contrary; you are everything. Have you not heard yourself?
Amazing music. Bought this album :)
i was listening to music doing homework and I stopped doing homework to listen to this. You sound like an angel, this is beautiful and turning heads in 2023
I still sleep to this like once a month I love her
Great record..she only sings one song in her band Covet.I never knew this existed
ya this is one of the best albums of all time
Amazing !!!

Both of Yvette's Acoustics EPs are absolutely beautiful, in addition to all of the great work Covet has done. Really speaks to my soul.

2014?!
wait she sings too? nice. Like Mayer. should stay acoustic.
Seems unfair for this to be posted without permission.of the brilliant creator.
Okay, music police.
@@kingcobrajfsofficial well, let's ask Yvette mr. anti-police, Some people NEED policing.
someone mind telling me the genre of this music?
and some bands similar to this!
Pinguini The Linguini Math Rock
You want to listen to Toe, Tide/Edit, & Tom's Story.
CHON, PLINI, polyphia, shell from oceanic, keep in mind Yvette is like no other ive ever heard shes in a class of her own!!! IREPRESS, animals as leaders, scale the summit.
This Town Needs Guns is the closest thing, theyre called TTNG now but their first two albums were akin to this. solo artist though? no clue.
The Speed of Sound in Seawater, Clever Girl, Chon, Elephant Gym, Penpal, Piglet, Suffer Like G Did, Covet, Totorro, Orchards (female singer), etc etc. for heavier music try: Fall Of Troy, Delta Sleep, this town needs guns, DGD : )
Anyone here bcs of willow smith ? 😂❤️
GDWOLF WILLY how
Yvette is fantastic and gorgeous also!
what did she say at 15:04??
"I'm a whore"
I had to laugh when I heard her say that honestly am I the only one that found it funny when she said that?
Kidarrian1 why did she say that???
shes talking about what a boy friend called her at some point I would imagine... I mean I think its common sense.
Use context clues in the lyrics, sounds like it's about abuse from someone the subject in the song is in love with.
midwest covet
Willow smith brought me here
Did you ask permission to the songwriter to upload this??
-I have not; though, I have stated that, "all rights go to the respected owner(s)," added purely out of respect to the artist(s). If anyone has an issue with this being uploaded and can prove to me that they have some -_-claim-_- to it, I will happily take it down.-
EDIT: I have tried contacting her in regards to this video and have not received a response.
TheCrimsonSea I'd encourage people to visit her bandcamp page too (you can stream this EP for free, or purchase it, from there)...
yvetteyoung.bandcamp.com/
Caleb Elliott Facebook. Found it odd that I didn't receive a response; I assume she knows this exists and no copyright strikes, yet... lol
+TheCrimsonSea send her an email, she responded to me within a day.
Yeah let's ban this! Its copyright infringement! We definitely don't want these artists getting any more exposure!
guitar better than voice
MtnDew
Her acoustic is beautiful. I love the way she plays.
I disagree her voice is lovely yet profound
Also matches her guitar prowess
Nice music but i hate vocals..
Mathy Acoustic Bjork
Sounds absolutely nothing like Bjork...
