Please knit what makes you happy ❤ I found myself trying to knit what was popular for the IG photo. No longer doing this and I am enjoying my knitting much more and that is what it is all about . Love the Coloring Book Tee and have linen quill in my stash ( because I cast on a half and half wrap and did not enjoy 😂). I am also learning to do what I want and not what is popular. Loved seeing Liza and your happiness ❤❤
❤ thank you for taking us down memory lane with you with how you met your hubby.. I felt that pain you felt only to have a blessed marriage! May God continue to bless you and your family.
Knit what YOU want to knit! No matter your project, I want to see/hear all about it. I’m on my H&H #2, about half way thru 2nd ball of color 2. High Tide (blue) + Turmeric. Love the happy colors! When you said the Coloring Book sweater, with Linen Quill… well. Okay. Now I MUST have that pattern! Thanks for sharing the details of your sweater, a big help !! Love your Stripes sweater! This is in my library, deciding what yarn… Knit what you want and please share. Your projects seem to be my “want-to-make” projects as well!! I can’t think of one thing you’ve made that I wouldn’t want…I’ll happily follow your lead! Your daughter is a Princess!! Hope you feel better soon! Happy Knitting!!!
Perfect ending to your video!! The sweater you have on is beyond gorgeous!! It makes me want to drop everything that’s on my needles right now and make one! Love the colors!!! As another watcher has said, never never apologize for talking about half & half wraps!!! Love seeing them and all the colors!
She is absolutely adorable! So glad we got to see her! Don’t ever apologize for the Half& Half wrap! Love knitting them, love seeing other folks wraps, and love talking about them!
Hi Stacy! I absolutely love your pod. You are so sweet and genuine and down to earth. You inspired me to take the plunge and start my own a month ago. It’s terrifying but I wanted to let you know that you were my inspiration. You’re amazing and keep being yourself.
I’m here to see you knit things that make you happy! ❤ I don’t care if it isn’t a popular pattern or if it is your 100th Half and Half Wrap. If you want to make it, I’d love to see it. Also, your daughter is adorable.
Yes to making what we want to make no matter how "big" or "small" the project! Always cheering you on friend! That sunflower colorway of yours is so so good. Wishing you moments of rest and joy this weekend (and every day!). Take care~Stephanie
Literally paused the episode as soon as you started talking about the Sophie Shawl, downloaded it, cast it on, and then kept watching! 😂 My own two little girls have been asking for shawls of their own but I never found a pattern that would work for kids. Thank you for sharing!
Yay--so glad you are loving your sweaters! I'm with you--putting things in time out when I don't feel like working on it, but it's not a project to be frogged. It's time will come and knitting should bring joy---(or Insert your emotion) as much as possible. I have been wanting to cast something on to knit for my birthday, which is in 23 days but I am so indecisive lately. Don't ever apologize for talking about whatever you want here: this is your channel. I am working on my very first Half&Half triangles wrap and I am loving it. It's like taking a walk to clear your mind, but using your hands--thanks for enabling me to cast one on. Take care of you so you can be there for others. Parenting is the hardest job. Thanks for sharing some time with us!
Hi Stacy, I always enjoy watching your podcasts! Don’t stop making half and half wraps, knit what you love. I have made 3, one was a gift and I have 2 more yarn sets! I love the colors of the sweater that you are wearing and I love your stripes one as well. I know what you mean about other podcasters being inspirational to us, you are one for me, I love your color palates. also Jackie is another, I saw her finished objects of 2022 and I wanted to cast on all the things! It was so sweet to see your beautiful daughter, see you next time😊
Your right Stacy, your Easy V is perfect! You have inspired me to make it. Princess Eliza is adorable. Always be your child’s fiercest advocate. Happy you and Doug are getting some answers.
Eliza's so sweet, lovely to see her. :) Love your Easy V, looks great on you. I knit it too, really addictive knit and love the shape. Hope you get on the mend soon, but at least the silver lining is more knitting! I've got chronic pain and always grateful for my knitting as at least I can sit on the couch and feel productive haha.. Oh and knit what inspires you, we just love your check ins regardless, wouldn't matter what you did or didn't knit we're not going anywhere xxx
I love the color of your Big Fluff-it’s beautiful!! For your next one use your preferred needles and knit until you reach your desired length and then BO-easy peasy to adjust. 💕
wowie - sweaters are FAB. but your very best finished product, was at the end - eliza in her princess dress, with a fantabulous smile, and of course, her dimples....so awesome - thanks for sharing her and your other makes!
Stacy, I love your Coloring Book sweater and the other makes you have shared with us during this episode. And it's always nice to see your latest H+HTW colors. I never get tired of seeing all the possibilities. Have you thought about making a wrap using Purl Soho's "Quartz" yarn for a change of pace? Stephanie of Edible Thoughts on RUclips is knitting one now. The yarn is fingering-weight like Linen Quill and has merino wool and suri alpaca fibers, but no linen. 420 yards per 100 gram hank. It has a subtle hazy glow surface. I think there are about 20 colors in the Quartz palette. Yay, new colors!
Love your podcast and love to see what you are working on and your reviews of what you knit/what you have loved to wear. It's an inspiration and now I want to knit some of the sweaters you have knitted and loved. I'm also from Michigan, up north near Alpena, the sunrise side, small town of Lincoln.
LOVE the color palette you have going on! I've added the coloring book tee to my list, it looks like such a great staple to have! Can't wait to have matching stripes and matching shawls, too ❤
What a fabulous episode, I loved it all, all your knits, your stories and your beautiful Eliza. Thank you also for your half and half passion and the tutorial!!!
I love your sweater and I am not a colorwork person. The colors are perfect. It’s beautiful!! I’m sorta fan girling the cadyjax women too!! I have a boatload of linen quill, I’m on my first half and half and totally on that bandwagon! and I’m trying to get my hands on some lamb & Kid (that stuff is hard to get!). Thanks for podcasting you inspire me.
I love linen quill too and so I loved seeing the sweaters and wraps you are making. I am working on The Daily Pullover (for a long time). I think I might have to look in to that pattern you made cause it looks like a boxy-er fit which I like. I’m glad you will be making more of what brings you joy. I started off this year with several dishcloths and that made me so happy! 😍👍
I have the Daily Pullover pattern, but I too am in the mood for a boxy sweater and the Daily is a fitted style. I think the Coloring Book Raglan might be a more enjoyable choice for now. Thanks for the inspiration! Yours is lovely.
I really enjoyed your podcast! I love your Easy V sweater, the colors looks so pretty on you. Your daughter is darling and I am glad you are getting some answers. I recently purchased some Linen Quill and will be making the Lightweight Raglan Pullover by Purl Soho. I hope it’s not too difficult since I’ve never done a sweater with that type of construction! Looking forward to your next podcast!
In your Coloring Book Tee, if you add extra rows in the main colour just below the armpit will it mean the stripes on the body no longer line up on an approximate level with the stripes on the sleeves? Maybe you are going to add the same number of rows before your first sleeve stripe too? Love all your colours and makes x
I've just begun my 1st Half & Half and was soooo confused by the written directions until I found your tutorial- thank you! Also,-if I can help you in any way with your adorable daughter, please feel free to DM me. I'm a Reading Specialist, have taught every grade level & have consulted with Rutgers University among others. I'd be more than happy to help in any way I can.
It's amazing how much of a help Stacy's H+HTW RUclips tutorial is. I have run into a few snags trying to understand parts of the written pattern, and Stacy's video has ironed those out. These days I've been watching some videos from Venerable Nick's RUclips channel on Buddhism while working on my H+HTW. Taken together, the two experiences provide peaceful moments during the day.
@@vivianpowell1732 Yes! I've begun the H & H & Stacy's video was so helpful! I'm also interested in Buddhism so thank you for sharing this resource as well!
@@fazzybear3 Another way I've found to experience H+HTW together with Buddhism is through color. Buddhism is a symbiosis of the physical and spiritual worlds. I kept noticing the beautiful vivid orange color of Venerable Nick's robes. So the thought came to me that I could knit the H+HTW using a similar orange color paired with a rich earthy color. I looked through the Linen Quill palette and came up with Super Orange and Pale Mushroom. When my order of those 2 colors of Linen Quill arrived from Purl Soho, I gasped when I saw how beautiful they looked together and how perfectly they reflected the symbiotic nature of Buddhism.

Beautiful makes! Your daughter is so cute! Make what you want and enjoy it.
I rarely comment on stuff, but I just have to tell you that your skin is GLOWING. Goals, girl 🙌

First of all, LOVE you!!! The feeling is mutual. Also, coloring book raglans and linen quill? Genius!!!
Love you both!!! And the coloring book raglans are AMAZING!!

Your coloring book is going to look like the most beautiful daffodil bouquet 😍. I'm going to copy you, it's gorgeous.
Hats make me happy too! 😊
Beautiful sweater 👍
Just knit what makes you happy

Transparent sticky notes? What?!?! So cool! I need some!

I have never knit a fingering weight sweater but now you convinced me to knit the Coloring Book Tee. I've heard that a compound raglan is awesome!
It's incredible! She also has a worsted weight version called the Coloring Book Raglan!

I LLLOOOOVVVVEEEE transparent stickies!!!
I can’t believe I didn’t know!
I love transparent sticky notes and if you have a sharpie or an oil based marker, you can write on them easily. They're the only sticky notes I use.
I’m a total convert. They are AMAZING
Love your color palette! The coloring book T just jumped to the head of the line here…and no, do not stop knitting triangle wraps and hats…
You won’t regret it! This sweater is amazing!
your easy v looks so nice on you! mine came out way too big and now I'm trying to push myself to redo the body but dreading it...
Sweet Liza!
I love how your husband is your cheerleader! It's so cute!
He’s the best. 🥰
I love hearing about you and Doug in young love!
Thank you!! It’s one of my favorite things!
thanks for a lot of inspiration as always! and yes, why did i not know about transparent sticky notes?! need to get some immediately 😆
Thank you!! I’m so happy to bring these to light for those that don’t know 😂 I’m very late to the transparent sticky note party!

Stacy any tips for the Sophie shawl on how to tell it’s your increase row? I cast one on right away for my granddaughter!
Nope! I just guessed, I don't think I was even all the way through but it all kind of evened out!
I do. Try making the increase after the 3rd stitch. You’ll be able to see the last increase much better and just count tge ridges up.
👍❤❤
