@@RoyAksnes It was never meant to be the final version for the song. But Mike wrote the text and wanted to show the band how he imagined the song to be, how he imagined Chester to sing it. That's why he sang as high as Chester did

This 3rd version is the ultimate. I'm so used to it just being instrumental, but the vocals are the cherry on top. Linkin Park are the Kings of instrumental music IMO
Honestly, A.06 was always that one particular song that needed full musical and vocal development because it exuded this scream for completion...

That high-pitched noise, the keyboard noises, just everything about this song makes me want to cry. I am on the verge of crying hearing it as of now; "Fighting Myself" makes me want to cry as well, it has been a long time since that powerful urge has attempted to lure me in (since Hybrid Theory). Great song!

I feel like this is missing some scratching, but the riff is dope! Classic LP.
Not gonna lie, but I like the reverb/echoing effects on Mike’s vocals in the verses. It just sounds so cool.

The fact that we knew Chester recorded vocals for this, and they weren't present. Not gonna lie, tad disappointed. Still sounds amazing, but wishing it had the Chester vocals. I was really hoping to see what more had come than the tiny snippet we got in the Making Of DVD.
Same happened with the drums on Healing foot, they released the song with a different version instead of robs drums shown in the making of...
@@Pistacho123Lol just because you saw footage of him recording something, doesn't mean it was any good. they would have recorded many takes of any given song. songs aren't written and completed in one pass, they take many iterations.
@@iamrichlol Yes, thats for sure. But it looked like strange to me because cumulus had these digital drums at first and then it resulted to be a fully recorded song. This healing foot even had vocals recorded on it, rob recorded drums as well and they released this version without the acoustic drums.

@@PenneySounds It has the same drum sounds as most of the other demos, except more the victim, fighting myself and lost, those have recorded drums.
You can also notice that in the making of meteora rob is playing more with the cymbals, and playing faster the hi hat.

Это как хороший писатель, у которого в "столе" есть всегда пара давно написанных и не изданных произведений, на всякий случай припасенных на "черный" день...Жаль,что раньше мы их не услышали.Этот звучит...безумно круто!!!!!!!!!
