You sure it wasn't actually all the Marines stuff in the background that made him get cut? Lol. Also--absolutely tickled to hear you play White Knuckle Stroll in its entirety. Awesome piece.
As a musician in the Army, I was ready to be super offended by you taking the piss out of my job. Instead you have actually captured the challenges involved in this job, and also the skill required in actually getting the job. Nice one.
What I REALLY appreciate is the CLEANLINESS of Conner Ferguson. Not ONCE does he EVER wear shoes in his house!! Super clean floors--->Just like his chops! 👌
Just casually auditioning for the army with a usmc poster in the background. My guess is you got rejected on the basis of the goofiness, and perhaps on suspicion of trolling them. I bet You would have gotten a second audition if the videos were serious.
I am sure Jeff Prosperie would have recognized you if he saw the audition submission. Especially after reviewing your WGI I&E solo (video June 30, 2021 Extreme Tenors). Do you have a way to DM him?
See... the other problem is you just referred to him as Connor Ferguson... it should be Dr. Conner Ferguson, he didn't go to CHOPS school all those years to be called Mister...
I’m gonna say the one snare piece you asked if we knew is either “swinging the Swiss pataflafla” by I forgor I think it was Pratt or “legend of a two eyed soldier” by freitag, and the only reason I know those two pieces ironically is because I’m playing both for a preliminary audition for the marines lol
I'm a long subscriber, first time commenter...I 🤔. Anyways, if your picture was in the audition video, that's likely your give away! Lol over your right shoulder! 😆 🤣 Maybe!?!?!
@@jimfarey He doesn't play mallets very often, but check out his fake audition for one of the Air Force bands, he plays Yellow After The Rain with four mallets
I apply for westpoint lacrosse as l/ssdm and the tenors in marching band as well as the rifle team but I made everything but tenors and got put on bass drum but I still got on the rifle and lacrosse team.
I went to U of Iowa and was on the snare line the years that John Wooton from Phantom Regiment was running the drumline. We played the cadence that the Prosperie piece was based on. That was maybe 1989 ish?
I want to do this for DCI cause they forgot to give everybody extra eligibility and then all the WA groups didn’t tour the next year... seriously DCI needs to get their act together and socialize funding
Who should Connor Ferguson audition for next?
Everything ever.
AGT
The commadants own
@@tyronium2 YES

This just in, eric carr gets arrested for fraud for trying to join the US army band under an alias.
Doesnt work like that, but ok.

@@CGJ7755 I mean........ technically it does
The snare drumming was epic, yet somehow I'm more impressed by his marimba chops.
THe fact that an ex-Marine is trolling the U.S. Army is a whole level of BOSS that I could only dream of achieving.
ex marine?
Dude, the second they saw the USMC Commandant's Own poster of you in the background they were like "Marine Corps? WTF? Cut...."
The most impressive part of the Marimba solo is that you turned the pages without us ever being able to see you do it LOL
9:32
"I paid for the marimba, I'ma use the whole marimba!"
Huge missed opportunity to say how good Connor Ferguson is at catching/blocking thrown axes!
True. Maybe next year.
Too soon!!
You sure it wasn't actually all the Marines stuff in the background that made him get cut? Lol. Also--absolutely tickled to hear you play White Knuckle Stroll in its entirety. Awesome piece.
Idk I feel like the Army is like a solid 10% prior marines lol
Connor Ferguson should be a new character in the EMC universe. I would love to see a drum fight between him and masked man
He already is! He's bass 3 in the Carrmen Heights Drum and Bugle Corps!
@@Chaosdude7111 True but he has not interacted with the characters yet

“Minimum effort, maximum execution”

What I REALLY appreciate is the CLEANLINESS of Conner Ferguson. Not ONCE does he EVER wear shoes in his house!! Super clean floors--->Just like his chops! 👌
I think EMC's superpower is being able to watch himself play music and ENJOY what he sees. Something that I've never been able to do.
Just casually auditioning for the army with a usmc poster in the background. My guess is you got rejected on the basis of the goofiness, and perhaps on suspicion of trolling them. I bet You would have gotten a second audition if the videos were serious.
I appreciate the wacky time signatures in the first solo, but I couldn't really feel the 11/8 pulse. Smh Connor
Also the Davie504 cameo was EPIC
That marimba piece was pretty epic though.
That was pretty decent abstinence ad in the middle there 😂
I am sure Jeff Prosperie would have recognized you if he saw the audition submission. Especially after reviewing your WGI I&E solo (video June 30, 2021 Extreme Tenors). Do you have a way to DM him?
More marimba please! And Connor Ferguson should make an appearance with Steven, Linda, and the rest of the gang!
Did anyone else notice the picture of him in the Marine DBC in the back and other Marine memorabilia?
as a competitor of dartmouth, it’s absolutely hilarious but also fitting that there was stuff from their packet in this solo
The sticks-in sticks-out part at 2:53 made me laugh so hard
The bedroom marimba is truly an underappreciated insturment.
It’d be awesome if you could join the Hellcats or Old Guard. It’d make the Marines super pissed they ever let you go.
you should audition for a band but it start with an extremely easy piece and progressively get harder until it’s basically impossible
Loving the double sticks-in! This needs to be a thing in the 2023 lot. Watch for it. It’s going to happen.
I’ve been subscribed since it was like 50k dude and I’m so happy that RUclips is working out for you man. Keep it up man 👍🏽
So much talent, really happy for you that you’re able to do RUclips full time now. Keep up the good work
Connor Ferguson with the sick chops‼️
Very clean chops and just a blast to watch ! 👍 🥁
See... the other problem is you just referred to him as Connor Ferguson... it should be Dr. Conner Ferguson, he didn't go to CHOPS school all those years to be called Mister...
If only EMC and the Prosperies do a drum collab
Also the name for 10:02 : Crazy Army / 'Legend of the One-Eyed Sailor' drumset intro
Name of the piece that Bridging the Gap starts off with is in the sheet music. 🤣 Though for the fun of it Electric Wheelchair.
Gotta love that you have a pic of your self on the door, face clear as day, wearing your old US military band uniform.
4:24 Ah, yes, The Rudimental Cookbook, one of the religious text ever
Even if they didn't watch your channel, the BCGs are hard to miss.
Connor Ferguson really undersold his mallet-playing abilities in his resume.
I feel like the plethora of USMC memorabilia all over your room(s) is a dead giveaway.
i wanna see Connor Ferguson as the next Smash Bros character
We used to use Crazy Army 2/4 for a few different songs back in my fife and drum corps days!
Well I just learned my solo for solo ensamble this year is called “drum corps on parade”. Thanks for telling me name of my solo.😊
We here in the Hudson Valley would like to have you here. Much like NJ but more trees. Semper Fi
Fairly certain the picture of you in the BG in the reds gave it away man. LoL
@10:09 Electric Wheelchair?
Good morning! This is video number 21 of me asking Eric to make a set of tenors out of differently sized snare drums.
Yes
That marimba piece is brilliant!
Video 6 of asking EMC to make a video of him playing the Rock Band game series
I remember drum corps on parade. Played that for competition in middle school. Way way way way back when.
I like how you can see is Marine Corps Drum and Bugle corps picture in the background of his snare parts and his USMC banner in his marimba part
I'm a long subscriber, first time commenter...I 🤔.
Anyways, if your picture was in the audition video, that's likely your give away! Lol over your right shoulder! 😆 🤣 Maybe!?!?!
YOU ARE SO TALENTED OMG!
...I think there was a missed opportunity to put a simple in edit: "DEFINITELY NOT A USMC FAN," but have the poster massive in the background... xD
Awe man, I really thought Connor was going to make it!!
That was so ridiculous. Haven't seen any marimba in your vids before. Super impressed you funny man :)
Guess you need to watch more of Eric's videos!
@@williampletcher8091 I've watched loads, but they're all him doing drum corps stuff on his own. Or chickens...

The abstinence line was the most believable part of the video lol
A little Electric Wheelchair in there. Very nice.
Damn. Connor Ferguson has some chops. Only teenager I’ve ever seen playing 64th note singles in an audition
10:08 Sounds like electric wheelchair, but I could be wrong

omg. that mariba piece. I hadnto watch it thrice it is soooooo good.
Connor ❤️ Linda - Match made in Chicken and Demons hell!
That's actually pretty interesting shipping!
Yo unironically that marimba piece is a total banger.
Crazy army !
5:38 added an extra beat
The bridging the gap solo at the beginning is called Crazy Army
3:11 literally sounds like a huge Chuck Norris joke
sobbing at 4:29
Maybe you've heard this already; Where do Marines go to retire? They join the Army... or Navy.
Wow this Connor Ferguson guy might even rival your talent.
I played drum corps on parade for a snare competition in 8th grade
I repeat, more mallet percussion please!! You're so good!!!!
YES!
Yay! More marimba in future vids, please!
Did Connor really start with the Mr Krabs walk? I'm dead
I think the one that bridged a game was similar to electric wheelchair
Eric’s outro game is absolutely on point
I only run 6 minute miles if you let me kip
LEGEND IF THE TWO EYED SOLDIER

This is epic!! 😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉
You should watch Huntley highschool marching band at St.louis boa it is a small band but a mighty one.
Electric Wheelchair

Connor and I need to have a talk about that left hand. 😂
Dude! This is impressive!

Crazy Army, on that part before the gap?
I see that bar from "Suzie" 2:16
I was in the US Army Band and Chorus in Germany. Fun times.
Wondering why you never auditioned for “The President’s Own”.
They really missed out on not getting *the* real person who made "Snare Solo for Connor Ferguson".
