We were not lucky enough to see any Kiwi, but heard many while out on the trails. Not wanting to leave NZ without seeing one, we went to the Auckland Zoo. 🙄 Upon seeing them we understand why we didn't see them in the wild - they just blend in so well and if not in a more open area, like right on the trail, we would easily overlook them. Which we're positive that we did. 😌

Wonderful trail! Loved the diversity in the path between the water and canopy of trees. Very cool hike 🤙
