Holyton 9205E / PX Toys UPGRADES - body reinforcement & Extreme Testing
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 21 июл 2024
- This is installment #4 in our body shell reinforcement series. We used the Desert Journey body for our Pxtoys/Holyton 9205E.
This is a hybrid of two other methods we have already tried. We put some upgrade parts on the Holyton PX toys and preformed a few modifications.
Even after the car gets beat up pretty bad, we continue testing the body.
We also took out the HBX 16889a to test out method #2.

Thanks man! I sure will!! 😎👍😀
Nice video man 👍🏾
Thanks man! Greatly appreciate that!
Wow very cool, sehr schöne Rampe, mega geiles Video 🏎👍
Thanks so much!! 😎😎👍
Cool rc's and awesome bashing, cool carnage
Thanks man!!
Great to see your boys enthused with the hobby! I learned from #megarc about butyl tape body reinforcement. Kinda pricey but I find it to be quicker to apply. It works as well as drywall tape for me. Only drawback is that it weighs more than other methods I've tried.
Thanks!! I’ll look into that tape, especially if it sticks better.
Great vids man. Thanks to you i picked up my first rc truck...got the Holyton 9205E do in large part cause of your videos. Figured it was a great price point to get into the hobby, and I would upgrade as i break things on car. Thinking first thing to upgrade is the shocks. What would you suggest I pickup or what size do I need? Also doing the body reinforcement and picking up some of those body clips you suggested on another video. keep up the informative videos for us noobs out there.
I appreciate that!! Definitely a good first car and extremely fun once it’s upgraded!
These are the shocks I use and they are perfect. It’s a pack of two so you need fo sets.

Thanks! Glad our videos helped you make your decision!
I finally understand the reason for the name of your channel! It’s perfect! 😜
How about you line the inside of that chassis with shoe goo and dry wall tape?😆 I’m totally impressed with how much that truck took even when it was broken already! Awesome basharoo buddies!💯💯💯👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼😆
Maybe I should call it Demolition Derby City 👍🤣. But really Derby City is a nickname of Louisville ky, where we live 😎.
That actually is one of my thoughts to beef the chassis up. Depends on if the components will allow it. I’ll be replacing that 2995 chassis very soon and hopefully can do it on that one too!
Also. Be sure to use the word “carnagy!”
@@DerbyCityRC “carnagey” … “willdoey”👍🏻😜😆👊🏼
😉🤘🤘💯
Link for those alum knuckles I seem to have hard time finding metal parts for my 9205e returning stuff that doesn't fit is pain your videos are really helpful i already upgraded to brushless setup broke knuckle on bad landing and want to upgrade to metal be nice to get a fit first try
Mine were from Pxtoysrc.com, but they weren’t an exact fit two years ago. It’s possible they’ve discontinued them or made them better. I was able to make them work though. Glad you upgraded it (minus the break) it’s a beast for sure!
I do the same thing, "oh its broken" BASH HARDER lol. "TRY TO DESTROY IT"
🤣🤣 pretty much what I do lol !
I can’t seem to find the replacement bodies for the 9205E anywhere! Do you know if there are any that are interchangeable with it ?
Not sure of interchangeability, but the bodies used to be at pxtoysrc.com.
Have you checked there?
What do you prefer mate let me know plz thanks your channel is great
Thanks Alex!
So far, for the best results it’s method #1. Just drywall tape and shoe goo and without the rubber seal. We may come to different conclusions later, but so far, that’s what I think!
Can you provide a link to the wheels?
I repair my body shell by using duct tape and it works great. Maybe u should try it out
I’ve done that before and will probably do another one, but it still started cracking the first time I used it. I’ll add that to another video. Thanks for the suggestion!
Where do I get the aluminum knuckles?
Responded to your recent comment 😃
Where did you get the steering knuckles and desert journey body?
Both from pxtoysrc.com 👍
Under the px 9202 model
@@DerbyCityRC thanks
Absolutely!
@@DerbyCityRC Do you get all your replacement parts from the 9202 model section? I have bought some from the 9204E section and so far they seem to work. My biggest concerns are the ones that do not list an actual part number.
I usually get them from either the 9200 or the 9202, but ok pretty sure any of the 92xx models will work. I don’t think the aluminum parts are made by the actual manufacturer of the car, which is why it wouldn’t have a part number.
As I mentioned in the video, I did have to do some minor modifications with washers for better fitment in the front, and the rears, I had to keep the wheel nuts slightly loose or it would bind the wheels. I just used some loctite on them and haven’t had any issues. Hopefully they will make improvements on those if they haven’t already.
What is the best 4x4 truck under 300 there are so many I know I want 1/10 scale and 4x4 with good speed brushless help looking for my first RC truck
For a 1/10 I recommend the Team Associated Rival MT10!
I have a few videos on it. Extremely fun truck!
@@DerbyCityRC out of stock every were
Dang that stinks!!
Which aluminum knuckles did you use?
They are from Haiboxingtoys.com under the px9200.
Hard to say if I recommend them yet. With the hard bashing I do they cause hinge pins to bend easier and maybe control arms too. Plus they didn’t fit quite perfectly, they need to be revised a little bit. If you don’t break a lot of the plastic knuckles, I wouldn’t get them just yet.
@@DerbyCityRC thanks for the advice. I haven’t broken any yet. I will hold off then.
Awesome!! Ya I broke several before I got those. Lol
Thanks as always!
Dein Kanal gefällt uns ist Abonniert und Glocke ist aktiv 👍 👍 👍
Awesome, my friend! Thanks so much! 😃👍
What wheels are those?
I think they’re these. They’re from a traxxas for sure, either E-Revo, Hoss, or Rustler.

Thanks dude! I got two of these for Xmas, one for my kid and one for me. I got one upgraded with all the metal parts. Just gotta find some better wheels and then eventually swap the motor. I tried the one you linked to in one of your other vids but it's not available anymore so ima find something else. Also, I found some all metal differentials for some of the other pxtoys cars was wondering if those would work on the deerc200e?
