Thanks Ashel for you video! I'm was born in Santiago, and, after 32 years living in USA I returned to the beautiful Santiago to enjoy my life, blessings to you!!
Also explain to Newbies coming here that the exchange rate is right around 58 pesos to 1 U.S. Dollar. And get your self to pay in Peso not Dollar or you will get screwed!
Yes I always recommend having a currency app on their phone and always doing the conversion. I still use it when I pay in cash, but most of the time I can use my card at a big store so I don’t worry about that such as La Sirena or Ole. My favorite currency app that I have on my iPhone is called “My currency converter & Rates” by The developer JRustonApps B.V
Or working remote, I make 5k a month with 1 of my incomes. I convert funds to pesos, puts me in a whooole different foreign tax bracket 1%. For all Expats, learn Pesos don’t spend like a American you’ll be able to live like Pablo lol.
Yeah there are plenty of places that are truly affordable over there and if you even wanted to buy land and build it is pretty cheap also! You can get a piece of land really really close to the beach for about US$30,000+/- for like .10 acres of land
Hi Leon, I do not live in Punta Cana, I live in Santiago, but buy a house in Punta Cana. Answering your question, It all depends on the cost of the area where you want to live, for example if you want to live near the beach it could be a little more expensive, I recommend you search this page: www.point2homes.com/DO/Apartments-For-Rent/La-Altagracia/Punta-Cana.html There you will find lot of places, also you can stay at an AIRBNB for short periods and check the different areas of Punta Cana. Thanks for watching! ✈️
I don’t really know any of them from Texas but I do know some services from Florida that might be able to help you. I’ll ask some of my friends that have used it and get you that information.
Google shipping thru Houston Texas, it will be way more expensive than Florida or New York. If not haul the stuff to those states to get the biggest bang for your bucks. Good luck, you are blessed

Excursion costs are higher due to gas prices. But I agree....prices for excursions are too high compare to other countries.

thanks for watching Paul! Dominican Republic is amazing!
I would say that a couple who retire in the DR can live the comfortable life with 2-3k. 2-3k is the number, that is good money in DR.
Hi Elvis! of course that would be enough, but it still depends on the expectations of each couple. Thanks for Watching!

How can I get in touch with you to ask advice on a moving company from Texas to Santiago ?
Hola! I'm planning on video the DR for 30 in February 2022! May I contact you for advice! Gracias!
What area is that. I want to move to the DR. Please help. I am tired of eating fake food in the USA
That area is the capital Santo Domingo! You would want to move around the Blue Mall area instead of the colonial area if you decide to go!
Do you live in Punta Cana? How much would a 3 bedroom apt cost me per month?
