You and your brother were adorable kids. You look a lot like both of your parents, to me. Your dad is more obvious, but I can really see your face in the young pictures of your mom. Your parents were so cute.I always love hearing about the Barbie dream house. My parents couldn't afford a store bought one, either so my mom gave me a big book case and said I could turn it into whatever house I wanted. I had a lot of fun with that. I always love seeing people's old pictures and hearing the stories behind them. I'm not much younger than you. Can you believe our childhood photos are "vintage" now and can be sold on eBay? Crazy to think about.
Hey Mary, those yellowed pictures are actually pretty easy to fix in a photo editing software like photoshop. It has to do with the light and color balances in the picture. I was able to fix a lot of my dad’s childhood pictures easily.
Your mum was so attractive when she was young Mary. And your Dad had a lovely smile. Thanks for sharing these photos with us. I love looking at old photos. X
I’ve literally watched all of your videos and I’ve been here from ALMOST the beginning, when I found you there wasn’t too many videos so I got to watch them all since I was instantly inlove 😂 but with that being said thank you so much for this video and letting us into your life like this 😭 this was very touching ❤️ and thank you for everything ❤️ I really do love you even though I’ve never met you 😂
This brought back so many memories. I remember getting haircuts from Mom. One time she could not find the regular scissors and used pinking shears. OMG and the perms. Hate them to this day. The solution was so stinky. My sister and I would fight on all our vacations in the car and MOM and Dad both smoked and we would get chewed out for opening the car windows to breathe because we were letting the air conditioning out. (this was before they knew cigarettes were bad). You can see where your creativeness came from when you had your fun by the lake creating stories. I lost both my Dad and sister last year. You never get those days back so thanks for pictures and thanks for you sharing yours It brought back a lot of memories and some tears. Keep up the great work!!!
I love the fact that you are so normal. This video takes me back to simpler times. My mom used to cut my hair. I took the picture in front of the fake forest. Thanks for the memories. I want a train house as well.
Thank you for sharing your life with us, Mary. I had to have my cat put to sleep a few days ago and so I've been heartsick and in need of a diversion. This helped take my mind off things.
I'm so sorry for the loss of your cat. I'm going through a difficult time with my cat being ill. I know how hard it is when they're sick and I understand how you feel.
Hi Cathy, I always see your updates here. I’m so sorry for your loss and I hope to keep seeing your comments so all of us here can make sure you’re doing ok. I’m thinking about you
Cathy I am so sorry for your loss I know what it is like to lose someone I lost my best friend when I was about ten years old I hope you fell better 🥺😔😕🙁☹️😟I’ll be praying for you
Oh no, Cathy I'm so sorry I don't always look at the comments since I usually fall asleep before the video ends. I've been praying for your mother since May when I read one of your comments. Now I'll pray for you. Stay strong Cathy. 💜🌹
This is so amazing, Mary. Loved hearing more about your history and seeing some artifacts from your past. I would love to see a Draw my Life video! ❤️😍
Gosh, where do I begin? So much to comment on. This was an amazing video and I want to thank you for sharing pictures of your family & childhood. You had such a magical and wonderful upbringing. That must have been nice living in the country with no neighbors around. It must have allowed your imagination and creativity to be limitless and was probably where the very talented and creative Mary we see today got her start. Your parents seem like such good people and they instilled great work ethics, hard work & morals in you which made you the incredible woman you are today. I loved that your family rescued & raised the baby squirrels and released them back into the wild. I am a HUGE animal lover and seeing the pictures and hearing the stories made my day. 🐓🐎🐇🐄🐑🐷🐭 Your mom is so pretty in her pictures. In the second picture of your mom, I definitely thought she was a spitting image of you! 😊 Your dad was so handsome in the pictures as well and has a nice smile...in one of the pictures his smile reminded me of Kenny Chesney's or Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs). You & your brother were cute as a button. Your story about your great aunt paying for some pictures reminded me of things my great aunts did for my mom when she couldn't them afford for us. Sorry so lengthy, but this was very relatable and also very enjoyable to catch a glimpse into your childhood. Again, thank you Mary. You're the best!! 😄
My ad was for Visit North Carolina! I LOVE this video, this is one of my favorite pastimes. I love going through old photos, family history.. my Nana did an entire genealogy book on her side of the family before she passed away. I recently found out they took down the giant oak tree in the front yard of my childhood home, I was furious! So relateable. Such nostalgic tingles, thank you so much! ❤️
Oh my gosh I love your moms hair! Its so fun getting to hear about other peoples old photos. I find a lot of old photos that got separated from their albums and context so I’ll never get to know!
This is the most authentic draw my life! I love hearing stories from back in ghe day. I’m from Alaska and grew up camping fishing and going on all types of adventures so I like hearing somewhat similar stories. Very country. You look so much like your dads side!
I love old pictures! I really enjoy show and tell videos, I loved your previous Draw My Life video 💗 Your parents look lovely 😊 What a beautiful family 💕
I loved this walk down memory lane. I was born in 1971. Reminds me of my childhood. The best Christmas gift was a Tomy dollhouse in the early 80's. I still have all the furniture and the house! Loved this! TFS💞
Thank goodness, this is perfect timing. I can’t sleep and was scrolling through some of your older videos just now... could you do another sassy non-ASMR video? That was absolutely hilarious and had so many great triggers!
How lovly is this video. I just wish I could see it from beginning til end without falling heavently asleep to your beautiful soothing voice. Mary I can't handle your amazingness!!!
You've always looked cute and beautiful! And your mother, wow! Those pictures are so precious. Thank you for sharing those with us! Do we even deserve you? 😊
My grandfather passed away around Thanksgiving and before he passed, my family found a box of old pictures of our family, including some of his parents. His most favorite pictures though were those we found of him in his Navy Whites (dress uniform), which he thought all pictures of had been lost. Your father around 8:45 reminded me of that moment connecting with my grandfather. Thanks for sharing a bit of your history with us!!
Dear Mary, I think you are so good and sweet because your parents were too. What a little lovely doll you were! I love you, thank you to be here with us.
I love this video, and I can’t recommend enough that you get over there and label the pictures with your momma. My grandmother died and left us with all these pictures whose stories are lost with her and I regret that immensely
This video was so nostalgic. I have all the same pictures from elementary school, and the saloon & glamour shots. Also permed my poor hair to death! Ahhh, the 80’s!
I too had a Winnie the Pooh cake back in the early 70's when I was 4 living in Alaska. I remember my mom making that cake with the star tip, applying the dark yellow frosting one by one, she put a lot of work into that cake, it's my most memorable favorite cake ever, and I remember the distinct (almost a high pitch fresh sugary smell) taste of the frosting. I still have a pic of the cake. So good and good memories.
My grandfather was a Seabee in the navy around the same time your father was! My husband is currently a Seabee too and I love it when whey talk about it
You made this video a while ago so I'm late... but I just want to thank you for it and for all the memories you share with us. I appreciate. You all are very beautiful.
The Baby 🐿 Squirrels story had me dying 💀😂🤣😂🤣 @25:00 Here’s a picture of what they look like, the knife is totally unrelated.🤣😂 🐿🔪... 😊 thank you, your videos are always great 💜
Glamor Shots!! Woo hoo what a flashback. My mom still has mine and my sister's on display at her house. I cringe and then smile. What a simpler time it was.
Yep I had my senior pics done at Glamor Shots at the mall! Lol I remember the heavy stage makeup they used. I couldnt wait to get home and wash it off.
This was wonderful. It's really good to get to know the person behind the A.S.M.R. artist. Mary, you are my favorite. You are so relatable, so much so, that we viewers feel like we are friends with you. I really enjoy your channel. Thank you for what you do. I'm sending you good thoughts and wishes. :-)
Oh, yes, you DO FAVOR your mother. It was hard to tell until I saw the young colorized photo with the little flowers on the white blouse. You’re both beautiful. I’m an artist and have studied faces/human form. 😁
I love listening to you talk about your childhood. Maybe because it’s similar to my mom’s. That’s awesome that you went back to finished your second degree. I graduate in May with my bachelors and I am 6 credits short of a double major. I couldn’t fit the other two classes into my schedule and it’s not worth it for me to stay here another year. I Am curious though, how did you go from getting a BA in Psychology to being a paralegal?
That pic at 11:30 might be yellow but you're stunning in it! The eyes, hair, teeth (including the empty space of the missing one) are adorable and beautiful
I feel like it's a right of passage for every family to have an Olan Mills picture. At least 1 if not several family photos made by them, I know we did!
There is nothing that I enjoy more than looking at old family pictures. Thank you so much, Mary! 💕
When she was talking about the dream house her dad made her I legit got so teary eyed, your dad is the best!

Hey Mary, those yellowed pictures are actually pretty easy to fix in a photo editing software like photoshop. It has to do with the light and color balances in the picture. I was able to fix a lot of my dad’s childhood pictures easily.
You and your mom look so much alike and are both very beautiful 🙂
Breanna Smith I think she looks exactly like her dad.
Your mum was so attractive when she was young Mary. And your Dad had a lovely smile. Thanks for sharing these photos with us. I love looking at old photos. X
I'm in love with your voice. I work 3rd shift at Chrysler and every morning I fall asleep to your videos. Thank you for all you do!

Good morning from the UK! A perfect start to my day 😊

Your first baby photo is very similar to how mine was! And I was put in some really frilly bright dresses 😂 and that was the 90s!
This was a really nice video. It took me back to the days of rounded corners of the photographs. Very enjoyable video.
What great memories! Your boys really resemble your dad!
I think that you look a lot like your mom, I love that you shared your memories.
Barbie Dream House story....best Dad ever! What a memory.
