This tutorial was so good I barely even had to watch it. I just listened as you instructed me. 10/10 would watch again.
instructions:
slip knot
chain 4
put hook in first chain, grab yarn pull through (slipstich)
chain one
put hook in centre of chain circle, yarn over pull through
chain 6 from the middle
insert hook in first single crotchet
Slipstich
chain 2
Yay
grab yarn is called yarn over, abbreviation "yo" 😊

Beautiful, delicate flowers thank you Laura. I have finished market bag and the flowers will look great at the base of the handles where they have been sewn into the top of the bag (and hide my darn ends!):)

Thank you! I have just knitted a little baby cardigan and these flowers will be the perfect way to finish it off though I would have to consider placement so little fingers don't get caught! I don't like crocheting normally but when something like this comes along there is no excuse not to make some!
Great tutorial!
I’ve found that when you use the chain 4 method to form your beginning loop, it’s easy to close it up by running your yarn tail back through the base of each of the 6 sc. then pull until the circle closed as much as you like.
Yes this is exactly what I do, but instead I carry the tail yarn as I make the chain 4 loop so that saves any sewing at the end!

I keep trying this one but my puffs come out all different sizes, lol. My flower looks demented, lol! The puff st has always been my nemesis and in many yrs of crocheting, I still haven't mastered it yet. Someday maybe, eh? LOLOL
