tips :D 1- solidify your foundation 3:24 2- count your stitches 4:16 3- use a stitch marker 4:57 4- use scrap yarn to fill in limbs 5:36 5- don’t overstuff 6:00 6- use patterns 6:48 7- use a smaller hook than suggested 7:28 8- find the right type of yarn 8:16 9- don’t join every round 9:06 10- use safety eyes 9:19
This was super useful! I’ve been making bags in rounds and noticed where I joined each row was making a messy stripe on the outside so I will try not joining and using a stitch marker☺️
also: toilet paper works fine as filling. it's not as soft, but it's generally easier to get a hold of. if you're just starting out or want to see if it's something for you, all you really need is yarn and a hook! my mom used to bundle it up in a ball big enough for the project, but you can also rip it up, whatever works best for you! :) and, of course: there's nothing wrong with abandoning or putting down a project if it doesn't bring you any joy. do what makes you happy!
